Enoli Paredes Signs Minors Deal With Braves

Free-agent right-hander Enoli Paredes signed a minor-league deal with the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday that includes an invitation to spring training, according to a source. Paredes pitched well with the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs this past season, posting a 1.66 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with his first career save, 16 strikeouts and 10 walks in 21 2/3 innings over 18 appearances out of the bullpen. It was a nice showing for the 29-year-old reliever after he spent the entire 2023 toiling in the minors. He didn't have a large sample size in 2024, but if Paredes pitches as well as he did in spring training with Atlanta, he'll have a good shot to make the team's Opening Day bullpen. Paredes made his big-league debut in 2020 with the Houston Astros and has a career 4.01 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 53:41 K:BB in 55 appearances in relief covering 54 innings.

Enoli Paredes Has "A Ways To Go" In His Rehab

Milwaukee Brewers right-handed reliever Enoli Paredes (forearm), who has been sidelined since July 2 with right-forearm tendinitis, still has "a ways to go" in his rehab, according to manager Pat Murphy. Paredes was moved from High-A Wisconsin to Triple-A Nashville on Aug. 22 and started to work out of the Sounds' bullpen. He was then moved to the 60-day injured list on Aug. 11 and is eligible to return on Sept. 1, although it doesn't sound like he'll be back by this Sunday. The 28-year-old Dominican began the year as an option for saves in Milwaukee's bullpen with Devin Williams hurt, and he picked up his first career save while allowing only two earned runs with eight walks and 12 strikeouts in 16 2/3 innings before being sent to the minors to work on his command. Paredes could be an interesting late-inning arm for the Brewers down the road, but that probably won't come again until 2025.

Enoli Paredes To Start Rehab Assignment On Friday

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander reliever Enoli Paredes (forearm) is set to begin a minor-league rehab assignment with High-A Wisconsin on Friday. Paredes is finally ready to resume pitching in games after being sidelined since early July with tendinitis in his right forearm. The 28-year-old opened the year as one of the candidates to earn saves in Milwaukee with regular closer Devin Williams (back) out for the entire first half of the season. Paredes picked up his first career save and gave up only two earned runs in his 16 2/3 innings out of the bullpen, but he also walked eight batters and was eventually sent down. Because he's on the 60-day injured list, he isn't eligible to return until early September. And now that Williams is back and Trevor Megill (back) is on the cusp of a return as well, Paredes isn't going to be much of an option for saves down the stretch.

Enoli Paredes Placed On 15-Day Injured List

Milwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Enoli Paredes (forearm) has been placed on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday. This is a tough blow to the Brewers bullpen considering how impressive Paredes has looked this season. He holds a 1.08 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 12/8 K/BB ratio across 16 2/3 innings this season. The severity of the issue is unknown, so the Brewers should give an update on his timetable soon. In a corresponding move, right-hander Janson Junk has been recalled to take his spot in the bullpen.

Enoli Paredes Inks Minor-League Deal With The Brewers

Former Houston Astros reliever Enoli Paredes has signed a minor league deal with the Milwaukee Brewers, which includes an invitation to major league spring training. The 29-year-old righty posted a 4.80 ERA, 1.528 WHIP, and 66:45 K/BB ratio over 54 1/3 innings (52 appearances) with Triple-A Sugarland last season. He also owns a 3.90 ERA and 1.825 WHIP over 32 1/3 major league innings with the Astros. He will provide some solid organizational depth for Milwaukee.

Enoli Paredes Heading To Sugar Land

Houston Astros starting pitcher Enoli Paredes (shoulder) will report to Sugar Land for a rehab assignment within the next week. The 25-year-old currently resides on the 10-day injured list after he was diagnosed with a strained shoulder following a matchup against Boston a few weeks ago. Paredes is sporting a miserable 6.23 ERA out of the bullpen this season, so fantasy managers outside of dynasty formats can safely send him packing.

Enoli Paredes Heads To The 10-Day IL

Houston Astros pitcher Enoli Paredes (shoulder) has been moved to the 10-day injured list. The 25-year-old exited Thursday's matchup against the Red Sox and was later diagnosed with a strained right shoulder. Paredes has appeared in 12 games this season, racking up a 6.23 ERA throughout just 8.2 innings of work. The 25-year-old has upside in dynasty leagues but can safely be dropped in other formats.

Enoli Paredes Exits With Injury Thursday

Houston Astros relief pitcher Enoli Paredes (undisclosed) was unable to get through his outing against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday. He already walked two batters and was clearly struggling with his command before the trainer came out. Brooks Raley took over for Paredes after he exited with an unknown injury. The team has not given more information on the injury yet, but Paredes wasn't much of a fantasy option anyway. Paredes doesn't pitch in high leverage situations and won't be an asset in most formats.

Enoli Paredes Leaves Thursday's Game With Side Injury

Houston Astros relief pitcher Enoli Paredes (side) was taken out of Thursday's game due to a side injury. Paredes entered the game in the eighth inning, gave up two walks and then showed some discomfort while facing the third batter. Astros manager Dusty Baker sent the training staff out and Paredes was removed from the game. He is scheduled to be looked at further on Friday morning. Thursday was Paredes' third appearance of the year. He's pitched 1 1/3 innings and allowed two hits, six walks and no runs while striking out two. He's rather low on the reliever hierarchy for the team and his high walk rate should keep him there.
