Since July 24, Rojas has posted a strong .267/.352/.489 slash line with two home runs, six RBI, one swiped bag, and a 7:7 BB:K. The seventh-ranked prospect on the Northside has spent the entire summer at High-A South Bend and has posted a .254/.317/.349 line. Jefferson Rojas Enjoying Big Week

Chicago Cubs shortstop prospect Jefferson Rojas has enjoyed a nice week at High-A South Bend. Across his past six games, the 19-year-old has posted a stellar .333/.444/.667 line with two home runs, five RBI, and a 5:4 BB:K ratio. During this stretch he has tallied at least one hit in every game. Prior to this run, Rojas went hitless in his previous three games. Overall, the infielder has performed quite well through his first look at High-A ball this summer. In 84 games this season, Rojas has carried a .257/.321/.350 line with six long balls, 45 RBI, and 20 stolen bases. Rojas is considered the seventh-best prospect in the Cubs pipeline on MLB.com and should spend most of next season at Double-A.

Jefferson Rojas Continues Strong Play In June

Chicago Cubs shortstop prospect Jefferson Rojas has continued to perform well at High-A South Bend through June and could be nearing a potential promotion to Double-A. This month, he holds a .247/.313/.342 slash line with one long ball, eight stolen bases, and a 5:12 BB:K ratio. Last month, Rojas posted a slightly lower .221/.271/.23 line with zero home runs and five swiped bags. The 19-year-old posted similar production at Single-A last summer, which is a promising sign that the young infielder has yet to face any setbacks in his young career. Rojas could become a name to keep a close eye on if he reaches Double-A during the second half of the summer.

Jefferson Rojas Approaching Double-A

Chicago Cubs shortstop prospect Jefferson Rojas is on pace to have the best minor league season of his career at High-A and is making a strong case to join Double-A Tennessee by the end of the summer. Rojas spent all of last with Single-A and opened this season with High-A Myrtle Beach. Through 42 games, the number seven prospect in the Chicago system has posted a strong .272/.316/.353 line with two home runs, 31 RBI, and an 11:27 BB:K ratio. This is a major improvement compared to the similar 31 RBI and much worse 23:61 BB:K ratio he held across 70 games at Single-A last summer. While Rojas is still several seasons away from his major league debut, he could become a name to monitor when he joins Double-A later this summer.
