Last week, the Red Sox sent right-handed pitchers Jordan Hicks and David Sandlin to the White Sox in exchange for right-handed prospect Gage Ziehl. However, it appears the Red Sox were also very interested in bolstering their bullpen with Leasure. Last season, Leasure logged 64 1/3 innings to the tune of a 3.92 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP. He struck out an eye-catching 81 hitters while generating an above-average 3.19 xERA. Managers should expect the 27-year-old to operate as the primary setup man for Seranthony Dominguez on the South Side. While his save opportunities could be limited, he should be given ample opportunities to tally double-digit holds.

Chicago White Sox reliever Jordan Leasure notched his second save of the season in a 2-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday. Leasure pitched a scoreless ninth inning with one hit allowed (a single) and two strikeouts to slam the door on the Jays for his first save since May 20. The 26-year-old right-hander has logged a 4.18 ERA with 39:19 K:BB and nine holds over 32 1/3 innings. Grant Taylor has been the favorite for saves in Chicago lately, but the White Sox used him in the eighth instead. Taylor banked his fifth hold in a scoreless frame.

He holds a 1.59 ERA through 11 1/3 innings but has also walked seven batters. Fantasy managers should run to the waiver wire after this save. Leasure might get more chances down the road, but it probably won't be enough to warrant rostering in most fantasy formats.
