Michael Arroyo Exits With Apparent Hamstring Injury

Seattle Mariners infield prospect Michael Arroyo exited Friday's game at Double-A Arkansas with what appeared to be a hamstring injury. The Mariners' sixth-ranked prospect suffered the injury attempting to beat out a grounder in the fourth inning of that contest. He has yet to be placed on the injured list, however, he was absent from the lineup on Saturday. If the injury requires an IL stint, it would likely end his season at this point. The 20-year-old began the year at High-A and earned a promotion to Double-A in June, where he hit just .255, but he lowered his strikeout rate from 21.1 percent to 15.6 percent while drawing walks at a 12.0 percent rate, allowing him to boast a .376 OBP. The 5-foot-10 Colombian also stole nine bases in 56 games for the Travelers, finishing with a .349 wOBA and 123 wRC+ at that level. Hitting .313 over his last nine games, the arrow is still pointing up for Arroyo, who has looked like a solid under-the-radar stash in dynasty formats and could be in the big leagues as early as late next season.

Michael Arroyo Belts Home Run No. 17 on Sunday

Seattle Mariners infield prospect Michael Arroyo went 1-for-5 on Sunday for Double-A Arkansas, belting his second home run since joining the Travelers in late June. The Mariners' sixth-ranked prospect hit the ground running when he joined Double-A, collecting a hit in 11 of his first 12 games, but Sunday's homer was his only hit in the last three games. Still, the 20-year-old is slashing .309/.426/.527 at Double-A, and for the season, he owns a .276/.422/.515 slash line with 17 home runs and six steals. The excellent OBP is buoyed by a strong 13.4 percent walk rate compared to a better-than-average 19.3 percent strikeout rate. There's plenty of pop in his bat and speed on the basepaths that make the right-handed slugger an intriguing prospect for fantasy, so dynasty managers would be wise to keep tabs on him.

Michael Arroyo Launches First Double-A Home Run

Seattle Mariners infield prospect Michael Arroyo went 2-for-4 with a home run during their contest against Double-A Amarillo on Thursday evening. This was Arroyo's first home run at the Double-A level. Arroyo made his Double-A debut earlier this week, alongside fellow top prospect Lazaro Montes. After going 0-for-2 with three walks in his debut at the level, Arroyo has gone on to post two straight multi-hit games. Earlier in the campaign, the No. 82-ranked prospect in the sport on MLB.com, posted a.269/.422/.512 slash line with 14 double and 15 round-trippers. Fantasy managers should continue to keep a close eye on the 20-year-old infielder as he could be in the mix to join Triple-A early in the 2026 season if he continues to find his footing at Double-A.

Michael Arroyo Headed to Double-A Arkansas

Seattle Mariners infield prospect Michael Arroyo is headed to Double-A Arkansas after a strong 65-game stint at High-A to begin the year. The Mariners' seventh-ranked prospect slashed .269/.422/.512 with 15 home runs and a solid 12.7 percent walk rate. The 20-year-old hit 23 home runs in 485 at-bats last year between Single-A and High-A, while swiping 18 bases. He looks to be on track to exceed that home run total from last season, but the steals have dipped, recording just three this year and on pace for only six. The diminutive Colombian has solid all-around tools and an ETA of 2026 per MLB's top prospects list, so his progress is worth keeping tabs on.

Michael Arroyo Hits Home Run No. 15

Seattle Mariners infield prospect Michael Arroyo went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and a walk during their contest against High-A Spokane on Thursday. Arroyo has enjoyed an impressive surge at the plate during June. Since June 1, Arroyo has posted a stellar .357/.486/.786 line with three doubles, seven home runs, 15 RBI, and a 12:8 K:BB. Through 62 total games with High-A this season, Arroyo has held a .278/.435/.535 slash line with 14 doubles and 15 long balls. Last season, Arroyo made his High-A debut and posted a very similar .290/.397/.519 line with 15 doubles and 12 long balls. Given his impressive production at High-A over the past two seasons, fantasy managers should expect the No. 7-ranked prospect in the system to join Double-A in the coming weeks. He remains on track to reach the majors in 2026.

Michael Arroyo Fills The Scoresheet On Thursday

Seattle Mariners third base/shortstop prospect Michael Arroyo went 4-for-6 with a home run and five RBI on Thursday evening. This impressive performance was his second-straight multi-hit performance with a long ball. In addition, this game extended his overall hitting streak to six games. Since moving up to High-A Everett on May 25, the infielder has held a strong .284/.415/.523 line with six home runs, 18 RBI, two stolen bases, and a 21:37 BB:K ratio. At the start of the summer, Arroyo got his second look at Single-A ball and posted a solid .279/.404/.500 line. The utility infielder is ranked as the ninth-best prospect in the Seattle pipeline on MLB.com and could have an opportunity to move up to Double-A next summer, given his stellar production.

Michael Arroyo Launches Second High-A Long Ball

Seattle Mariners shortstop prospect Michael Arroyo went 1-for-5 with a home run and tallied two RBI on Wednesday evening. Arroyo was promoted to High-A on June 25 and has performed well in his small nine-game sample size. In this span he has posted a .258/.465/.484 line with a stellar 10:13 BB:K ratio. The 19-year-old opened the season in Single-A and performed quite well with a .279/.404/.500 slash line with 11 long balls and 49 RBI in 60 games. This was a big improvement when looking at the .234/.389/.373 line he held across 57 games at Single-A last summer. MLB Pipeline ranks the infielder as the ninth best prospect in a deep Seattle system and projects him to reach the majors in 2027.
