Kade Anderson's Elite Double-A Production Makes him a Priority Stash

Seattle Mariners pitching prospect Kade Anderson suffered his first loss at Double-A Arkansas following his July 3 start. He only allowed two earned runs to pick up his first loss of the season in his 8-1 overall record. His numbers look video game worthy with a 1.36 ERA and 0.69 WHIP with 108 strikeouts in 72 2/3 innings pitched. The No. 3 overall draft pick out of LSU has dominated the minors in his first season of professional baseball. Before a stop in Seattle and a spot in the Mariners rotation, Anderson would likely need some seasoning at Triple-A. So while his numbers call out for a stash for fantasy managers, some patience is required. Managers in mid-size leagues would be smart to use a roster spot now on Anderson and wait to see if it pays off. The prospect pedigree looks elite for Anderson, and it's worth using an early roster spot to acquire his services.

Is Kade Anderson the No. 1 Stash Target as he Continues to Deal at Double-A?

Seattle Mariners starting pitching prospect Kade Anderson has turned in a dominant June at Double-A Arkansas and is coming off a start in which he allowed his first two earned runs of the month. Overall, he completed June with a 4-0 record and an 0.79 ERA with 32 strikeouts in 22 2/3 innings pitched. It doesn't get much better than that at any level, and fantasy managers would like to see Anderson and his lefty dominance at the Triple-A level sooner rather than later. Anderson has shown a mastery of Double-A with an 8-0 record and 1.22 ERA with 99 strikeouts in 66 2/3 innings pitched. The talented former No. 3 overall pick would likely need some time in Triple-A before the Mariners take a look at him in Seattle. But his numbers show that he could be ready for a close-up and is definitely worth picking up and stashing off the waiver wire in leagues of all sizes.

Kade Anderson Won't Get Promoted Until the Stretch Run?

The Seattle Mariners have floated the idea of creating a "super 'pen" for the stretch run late in the season, perhaps featuring promotions for pitching prospects Kade Anderson and Ryan Sloan, according to Adam Jude of The Seattle Times. Anderson, the former third overall pick in 2025 out of Louisiana State University and the team's No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, has dominated this year at Double-A Arkansas, going 8-0 with a stingy 1.22 ERA, 0.70 WHIP, and 99:10 K:BB in 66 2/3 innings across his 13 starts. It was reported in mid-June that the 21-year-old southpaw wasn't in Seattle's immediate plans for a big-league call-up, and this report by Jude corroborates that we probably won't see Anderson make his MLB debut until much later in 2026. He's currently rostered in 12% of Yahoo leagues, but fantasy managers in mixed redraft leagues won't have much incentive to hold him now, especially since he might not even pitch in a starting role if he joins the M's for the stretch run. But in dynasty/keeper leagues, Anderson is a must-stash for his clear high-end upside for 2027 and beyond.

Kade Anderson Poised for Second-Half MLB Debut?

Seattle Mariners top pitching prospect Kade Anderson has been nothing short of dominant in his first taste of professional action. Since joining the Mariners with the third overall pick in last year's MLB Draft, the former LSU standout was sent to Double-A to begin his professional career at the start of the 2026 campaign. With Double-A, the southpaw has looked incredible, logging 61 2/3 innings (12 starts) with a stellar 1.02 ERA and a 0.65 WHIP. During this stretch, Anderson has struck out 90 hitters while walking just eight. However, Seattle currently has a surplus of starting pitchers, which leaves Anderson without a clear path to debut in the near future. With the team opting to use a "piggyback" schedule to keep all six starters engaged, Anderson appears set to debut later in the second half. While his timeline remains undetermined, his upside on a per-start basis remains the highest out of any of the top prospect pitchers. Managers in leagues with N/A spots should still view the former third overall pick as a must-stash option heading into the first week of July.

Kade Anderson Dominates Again, Could He Force His Way to Seattle for a Debut?

Seattle Mariners pitching prospect Kade Anderson is making Double-A look easy at this point, cruising through six innings in his latest start where he did not allow a run, yielding only two hits and a walk while striking out eight batters. It was the fifth consecutive start in which the lefty did not allow a run, a stretch of 27 2/3 innings, and he's also struck out at least six batters in each of those contests, with 39 strikeouts compared to just three walks. The former third-overall draft pick owns a pristine 1.02 ERA, 0.65 WHIP, and an elite 37.4 percent K-BB%, all of which are tops in the minor leagues out of all pitchers who have thrown at least 50 innings. The Mariners have made it known that the southpaw is not part of their immediate plans in the major league rotation, but a test at Triple-A certainly appears to be on the horizon, and while a major league debut does not appear to be imminent, this kind of elite performance makes the 21-year-old a top pitching stash thanks to his high-strikeout upside coupled with strong command. Stash in an NA spot if available.

Is Kade Anderson the Top Pitching Prospect to Stash?

Seattle Mariners left-handed pitching prospect Kade Anderson has seen his short-term fantasy stock take a hit this past week, but the budding ace remains firmly on the stash radar. The Mariners acknowledged that they will be looking to "piggyback" each of their MLB starters and do not view Anderson as part of their immediate plans. While this could change in the second half, for now it appears the former LSU superstar will remain in the minor leagues for the foreseeable future. However, during his first taste of professional baseball, the southpaw has looked nothing short of dominant, posting an elite 1.13 ERA, 0.66 WHIP, and an 82:7 K:BB over 55 2/3 innings of work. While his path to the majors is not overly clear, his upside remains elite, making him a top-stash candidate in standard formats with NA spots.

Kade Anderson Not Part of Mariners' Immediate Rotation Plans

Seattle Mariners pitching prospects Kade Anderson and Ryan Sloan are not part of the team's immediate plans, a source told Adam Jude of The Seattle Times, as the team reassesses its six-man rotation. The expectation remains for both Anderson and Sloan to figure into the mix at the big-league level by late summer, though. Per MLB Pipeline, Anderson is the club's No. 3 prospect, with Sloan sitting right behind him at No. 3. Anderson, the third overall pick last year out of Louisiana State University, has been absolutely dominant in his first full season of pro ball at Double-A Arkansas, going 6-0 with a 1.13 ERA, 0.66 WHIP, and 82:7 K:BB in 55 2/3 innings pitched across 11 starts. The 6-foot-2, 179-pounder is one of the best pitching prospects to stash in 2026, even in redraft formats. Right now, he's rostered in 11% of Yahoo leagues with his first MLB promotion coming sooner rather than later. Anderson lacks high-end velocity, but he makes up for it with excellent run up in the zone, and he also features two plus breaking pitches in a high-spin slider and curveball.

Kade Anderson Dominates Again, but Any Closer to MLB Debut?

Seattle Mariners pitching prospect Kade Anderson impressed yet again in his latest start at Double-A Arkansas, tossing 6 2/3 innings of scoreless ball on Saturday, allowing just three hits and no walks while striking out six batters. That is now four straight starts in which the southpaw has not allowed a run, and his third straight in which he did not walk a batter. The effort reduced his ERA for the season to 1.13 with a 0.66 WHIP and a 37.7 percent K-BB%, all of which lead the entire minor leagues for pitchers with at least 50 innings pitched. There is seemingly nothing left to prove at Double-A, so it's just a matter of time before the lefty earns a promotion to Triple-A Tacoma, at which point he'll be knocking on the door to the majors. The Seattle rotation isn't in need of reinforcements at the moment, but should Anderson continue to perform at a high level, a major league debut this season is very likely, and could possibly even happen by the end of July at this rate. That being the case, the former third-overall draft pick is one of the top arms to stash in redraft leagues for his multi-ratio-boosting upside.

Kade Anderson Remains Elite Stash Option Despite Unclear Path to Big Leagues

Seattle Mariners left-handed pitching prospect Kade Anderson has been nothing short of dominant since making his professional debut and remains an elite stash option among all prospects ahead of Week 12 of the fantasy season. After joining the Mariners with the third overall pick in last year's MLB Draft, he was sent to the Double-A level to begin his first professional campaign. Through his first 10 outings with Double-A Arkansas, the former LSU superstar has posted an incredible 1.29 ERA with a 0.64 WHIP. During this stint, Anderson has racked up 76 punchouts while walking just seven hitters. Additionally, Anderson has allowed two runs or fewer in nine of these 10 games. However, the lone concern with his redraft value is his unclear path to the majors. With Bryce Miller back in action on the MLB roster, the Mariners have six capable starters on the roster. Despite this, Anderson's upside on a per-start basis makes him a worthy target in all formats that have N/A spots.

After Latest Dominant Outing, is Now a Good Time to Stash Kade Anderson?

Seattle Mariners pitching prospect Kade Anderson's phenomenal professional debut continued in his latest start on Friday, when he didn't allow an earned run for the third straight game after giving up just one hit in five innings of work. It was also the second consecutive game in which he did not walk a batter and struck out nine. The performance brought the left-hander's ERA down to a miserly 1.29 with a 0.69 WHIP in 49 total innings pitched, and his 39.2 percent K-BB% is the highest in all the minor leagues among pitchers who have worked at least 30 innings. After dominating Double-A competition through 10 starts, a test at Triple-A should be close at hand, and if the former third-overall draft pick has success, then a major league debut could happen later this year. Although a big league promotion is not imminent, the 21-year-old is a worthy stash consideration in deeper leagues for his high strikeout upside, especially in leagues where an NA spot is available to tuck him away in until he earns a call-up.
