Jalen Brunson Available for Game 1 Saturday

New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) will be active on Saturday in Game 1 against the Atlanta Hawks. The star guard has managed an ankle injury late in the season and didn't play in Sunday's loss to the Charlotte Hornets, but the team has removed him from the injury report ahead of the playoff opener. During the regular season, Brunson struggled to make three-pointers against the Hawks but was still productive on offense, averaging 29.3 points and 7.7 assists across three meetings. The three-time All-Star has regularly elevated his game in the postseason, and the Knicks will go as far as he takes them in the playoffs.

Jalen Brunson Back in Action Friday

New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) will rejoin the lineup on Friday against the Chicago Bulls. Brunson sat out Wednesday's win over Memphis to manage an ankle injury, but his name hasn't been included on the injury report ahead of Friday's game. With Brunson back on the court, we will see a lot less of Jose Alvarado, Landry Shamet, and Tyler Koler in the Knicks' rotation, especially with Miles McBride (pelvic) also expected to return. Brunson had just 12 points on Tuesday night against Houston, but he had previously impressed with two 30-point efforts in three games. On Friday, he has an ideal fantasy matchup against a defensively weak team that likes to run.

Jalen Brunson is Ruled Out on Wednesday

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Fantasy managers and Knicks fans don't need to worry as this appears to be a maintenance day. It's the second leg of a back-to-back set, so the Knicks have elected to rest Brunson against a struggling Grizzlies squad. The Knicks' backcourt is going to be extremely thin with Miles McBride (pelvis) also sitting out. That means Jose Alvarado, Jordan Clarkson, and Landry Shamet should all see increased playing time. Out of the trio, Alvarado is the most consistent option to use as a streaming option for Wednesday's slate.

Jalen Brunson Set to Play Against Brooklyn

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle/neck) is off the injury report and expected to play Friday against the Nets after missing one game due to ankle injury management and a cervical strain. The All-Star has been a strong fantasy anchor when active, averaging 27.8 points, 8.2 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 2.2 three-pointers, and 1.4 steals over his last five games. His return should push Jose Alvarado back to a reserve role, while Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges may see slightly reduced playmaking duties. Brunson remains a must-start option during the fantasy playoffs.

Jalen Brunson Gets Downgraded to Out

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) has been downgraded to out ahead of Tuesday's game against the Indiana Pacers. He started the day off as questionable, but has been downgraded all the way to out. This is obviously a tough blow to fantasy managers with Brunson's next chance to play not coming until Friday against the Nets. The absence of Brunson should mean increased playing time for Jose Alvarado, Landry Shamet, and possibly Tyler Kolek. Shamet is the best streaming choice among the three guards due to his ability to shoot the three-ball.

Jalen Brunson Unlikely to Play Tuesday Against Indiana

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle, neck) was originally questionable for Tuesday's home game against the Pacers, but the team downgraded him to doubtful early in the day on Tuesday. Brunson played 36 minutes on Sunday night and had 30 points and nine assists against the Warriors, but he'll likely get Tuesday off, leaving more work for Karl-Anthony Towns as the focus of the offense, while OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges could get more usage as Landry Shamet and Jose Calderon fill in at guard in Brunson's spot. The Pacers have been such a favorable matchup that whoever gets playing time against them should be set up for fantasy success on Tuesday.

Jalen Brunson Questionable for Tuesday's Game

New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson (ankle, neck) is questionable for Tuesday's meeting with the Indiana Pacers. Brunson produced 29 points and nine assists against the Pacers on Friday night, but he may have to sit out Tuesday's rematch due to ankle and neck injuries. Brunson's absence would create additional playing opportunities for Jose Alvarado, Jordan Clarkson, and Landry Shamet. Additionally, Karl-Anthony Towns will be expected to be much more active on the offensive end. Towns has averaged 28.2 points and 14.0 rebounds in five games without Brunson this season.

Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns Claim 2026 Shooting Stars Crown

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson and center Karl-Anthony Towns, joined by former Knick Allan Houston, won the 2026 NBA All-Star Shooting Stars event Saturday, outscoring Team Cameron in the final round. The Knicks trio closed with 47 points after posting 31 in the opener to advance. While the exhibition carries no fantasy weight, both stars enter the second half in strong form. Brunson is averaging 26.6 points, 3.0 threes, 4.8 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.0 steals in 36.6 minutes over his last five games, while Towns has posted 19.4 points and 12.4 rebounds in 28.8 minutes. Their usage keeps Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart in complementary roles.

Jalen Brunson Won't Play Saturday

New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's matchup against the Phoenix Suns. The Knicks initially listed him as questionable due to a right ankle sprain. Brunson will miss a second consecutive game, with his absence giving Miles McBride another opportunity to start. On Thursday night against the Golden State Warriors, McBride excelled in a starting role, shooting 6-for-12 from downtown to finish with 25 points and six assists.

Jalen Brunson Iffy for Meeting With Suns

New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) is considered questionable for Saturday's matchup against the Phoenix Suns. Brunson suffered a right ankle sprain on Wednesday night against the Sacramento Kings and wasn't available for the second leg of a back-to-back the next day against the Golden State Warriors. Miles McBride filled the gap in the first unit, finishing with 25 points and six assists. Assuming Brunson won't return on Saturday, McBride will continue to have additional fantasy value. That being said, the matchup on Saturday isn't ideal, as Phoenix gives up the sixth-fewest fantasy points to point guards.
