Rashee Rice Won't Face Discipline From NFL

The NFL concluded on Friday that Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice "has not engaged in conduct that violates the personal-conduct policy," according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The investigation into accusations from his former girlfriend is now closed, and there will be no discipline from the league at this time. "Mr. Rice wants to thank the NFL for their thorough investigation, and looks forward to the start of the 2026-27 NFL season," Rice's attorney, Sean Lindsey, said in a statement. The 25-year-old Rice is no stranger to bad off-the-field publicity, as he was suspended for the first six games in 2025 due to a high-speed hit-and-run incident in Dallas. The former second-rounder in 2023 out of SMU caught 53 of his 78 targets for 571 yards and five touchdowns in his eight games played in 2025 before suffering a concussion in Week 15 and missing the final two games. The Chiefs can't be happy with Rice's choices off the field, but with no discipline affecting his fantasy value in 2026, he should have a pretty high ceiling as KC's WR1. Rice had a 79-102-7 line in 16 games in his rookie campaign, but he's played only 12 games since due to injuries and suspension.

Rashee Rice's Legal Issues Limit His Dynasty Value

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was suspended for the first six games of the 2025 season due to a 2024 hit-and-run incident that resulted in him pleading guilty to two felony charges. Across eight games after returning, the 25-year-old recorded 53 receptions for 571 yards and five touchdowns on 78 targets, missing additional time due to a concussion. While Rice is expected to be healthy heading into 2026, he may be facing yet another suspension due to an unresolved domestic violence lawsuit that was filed against him. When he's on the field, Rice remains a talented pass-catcher who should be a consistent fantasy producer, particularly in PPR formats. However, Rice's legal troubles are adding up, and his consistent issues with availability make him an unreliable player for managers to roster. In dynasty formats, Rice's current value is difficult to gauge while his status with the league office remains uncertain.

Rashee Rice Looking to Return to Rookie Form?

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has struggled with availability over the last two seasons, and he's likely hoping to rediscover the productivity he demonstrated as a rookie back in 2023. Over the last two years, Rice has been held to just 12 total games due to injury and suspension. He managed to tally 571 yards and five touchdowns across eight games in 2025, but he only finished as the WR40 in PPR leagues. By the time he returned after his eight-week suspension, it was too late for many of his fantasy managers to get back into contention. Being available for 17 games in 2026 would be ideal for Rice and his fantasy managers, as he can produce 1,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Unfortunately, there's still plenty of risk associated with drafting him. Rice faces an unresolved lawsuit for domestic violence and could end up being suspended again. Much like last year, we could see Rice's status remain in limbo deep into the summer, leaving plenty of uncertainty and doubt for fantasy managers. There's top-24 upside here if Rice plays 17 games, but we could also see a scenario where he misses half the year once again.

Rashee Rice Accused of Assault by Long-Time Girlfriend

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is being sued by his long-time partner and mother of his children for choking, strangling, scratching, hitting, and headbutting her over a 19-month period, TMZ reports. "Rashee Rice continued to repeatedly [assault] Dacoda Jones over the course of their relationship," the lawsuit claims. Jones also claims she was subject to "other violent and abusive behaviors," which included Rice throwing things at her, "punching walls, and breaking furniture." She also says that most of the abuse occurred while she was pregnant. The NFL launched an investigation into Rice for possible violations of the league's personal-conduct policy after Jones accused Rice of getting physical with her last month on social media. It's not the first time Rice has had off-the-field issues, as he was suspended six games last year after pleading guilty to multiple felonies for his role in a multi-vehicle crash. Rice is KC's No. 1 receiver when healthy, but another suspension could be coming in 2027. Stay tuned.

Rashee Rice to be Reviewed Under League's Conduct Policy

The Kansas City Chiefs have issued a statement regarding domestic allegations against wide receiver Rashee Rice, which came up because his former girlfriend had posted pictures on social media. "The club is aware of the allegations on social media and is in communication with the National Football League. We have no further comment at this time", David K. Li of NBC News reports. These allegations could result in a second significant off-field suspension for Rice, who was already suspended six games during the 2025 season following a hit-and-run incident in April of 2024. This is not the first time Rice's behavior has resulted in a potential suspension. Dynasty managers will want to keep tabs on this situation to know whether or not they will be without the Chiefs' No. 1 wide receiver at any point in the 2026 season. Rice racked up 571 receiving yards (10.77 YPC) on 53 receptions and five touchdowns during the 2025 season, in which he played in eight games.

Chiefs Issue Statement on Allegations of Rashee Rice

The Kansas City Chiefs have issued a statement regarding allegations posted on Instagram about wide receiver Rashee Rice, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports. "The club is aware of the allegations on social media and is in communication with the National Football League. We have no further comment at this time." These allegations could result in a second significant off-field suspension for Rice, who served a six-game suspension to open the 2025 season following a hit-and-run incident in April of 2024. The 25-year-old was highly productive as the Chiefs' clear WR1 in eight games this season before being placed on Injured Reserve due to a concussion. Rice ranked 11th in the league in receiving yards per game (71.4) and finished with 53 catches (78 targets) for 571 yards and five touchdowns while adding five carries for 20 yards and another score on the ground.

Chiefs Place Rashee Rice on Injured Reserve

The Kansas City Chiefs placed wide receiver Rashee Rice (concussion) on Injured Reserve on Wednesday, ending his 2025 season, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team. Fellow wideout Tyquan Thornton (concussion) also landed on IR. Both receivers will miss the final two games of the regular season with the Chiefs already eliminated from postseason contention. The 25-year-old Rice got a late start to the year after serving a suspension, but once he returned, he had a high weekly floor for fantasy managers with 53 receptions, 571 yards, and five touchdowns in eight games played. When healthy, it's clear that Rice has become quarterback Patrick Mahomes' (knee) favorite weapon through the air. With both Rice and Thornton out for the last two games, Xavier Worthy and Marquise Brown will have more opportunities, but third-string quarterback Chris Oladokun will be running the offense with Mahomes and Gardner Minshew (knee) dealing with torn ACLs.

Rashee Rice Not Practicing Tuesday

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice (concussion) was not seen at Tuesday's practice as he continues to work through the league's concussion protocol. Rice missed the team's Week 16 loss to the Titans after suffering a violent hit from the Chargers' Tony Jefferson in Week 15. With the Chiefs slated to face the Broncos on Christmas night, Rice's absence during the shortened week of preparation does not bode well for his availability come Thursday. Already down two quarterbacks, with Chris Oladokun set to make his first career start, Rice would likely be best kept on the bench even if healthy. Facing an implied point total of just 11.5 points, no Kansas City starters project to factor into many fantasy championships this season.

Rashee Rice Still in Concussion Protocol, Estimated as Non-Participant on Monday

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice (concussion) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice report. The Chiefs did not practice on Monday, so this designation is based on an estimation from the team. Rice missed Sunday's loss to the Tennessee Titans, and it now appears that he's at risk of missing a second consecutive game, albeit on a short week. The 25-year-old's absence will be felt, given that he had been averaging 6.6 catches, 71.4 yards, and 0.6 touchdowns per game when healthy. Managers invested in Rice's availability should stay tuned for additional updates when the Chiefs publish their subsequent injury reports on Tuesday and Wednesday. If he can't suit up, Xavier Worthy will remain in the No. 1 role while catching passes from third-string quarterback Chris Oladokun.

Rashee Rice Officially Ruled Out for Week 16

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice (concussion) has been ruled out for his team's Week 16 matchup against the Tennessee Titans due to a concussion. The 25-year-old has functioned as the number one option in the Chiefs' passing game since returning from suspension in Week 7, recording 53 catches for 571 yards and five touchdowns across eight games. Kansas City will also be without wide receiver Tyquan Thornton (concussion) in Week 16, so wideouts Xavier Worthy, Marquise Brown, and JuJu Smith-Schuster appear likely to see the majority of the snaps on Sunday. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce could see an uptick in targets as well. With quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) out for the season and Gardner Minshew now the starting quarterback in Kansas City, the outlook for all of the team's pass catchers is less favorable. Still, Kelce and Worthy in particular could have a chance to volume their way to production in Week 16 against Tennessee.
