Justin Fields News
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields finished 27-of-37 for 217 passing yards along with 12 rushes for 59 yards in the team's 12-10 win over the Vikings in Week 12. The Ohio State alum was unable to lead the team on any touchdown drives and lost two fumbles, which hurt his overall fantasy output. He ended with just over 10 fantasy points, which is his lowest mark all season in a full game. The 24-year-old has now scored just one touchdown in the last two games after scoring eight touchdowns in his two healthy games prior in Weeks 4 and 5. The Bears are off in Week 13 and will take on the Lions again in Week 14, who allow the 6th-most points per game to quarterbacks this season. Thanks to his rushing upside, Fields remains a low-end QB1 option for the rest of the year.
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields showcased a remarkable rushing performance in his Week 11 return, accumulating 104 yards on 18 carries. The Ohio State alum also was solid in the passing game, completing 16 of 23 attempts for 169 yards and securing a touchdown. Fields' dual-threat ability solidifies his standing as an elite option for fantasy managers, and he gets a promising matchup in Week 12 against the Vikings. The Minnesota defense ranks 17th in points allowed per game to quarterbacks this season, averaging 17 points per game. Despite being only three-point underdogs on Monday Night Football, Fields has proven his ability to thrive in various game scripts. Fields emerges as a reliable QB1 choice for fantasy managers looking to capitalize on his diverse skill set in Week 12, providing a dangerous combination of passing proficiency and dynamic rushing capabilities.
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields will effectively be auditioning to keep the starting job the rest of the season. If the season ended now and the Bears have the top pick in next year's draft, ESPN's Dan Graziano's best guess has the team taking USC's Caleb Williams first overall and then trying to trade Fields. However, if Fields lights it up over the next two months and shows improvement, it's not out of the question he could be their starter again next year. The job statuses of head coach Matt Eberflus and general manager Ryan Poles will likely play a huge factor in a decision on Fields as well. Depending on how the rest of the season goes, the people evaluating Fields might not be the people who get to decide his future with the franchise. Even though the Bears aren't in playoff contention, there is a lot riding on how they close out the 2023 season.

Bears' quarterback Justin Fields was a force on the ground during the 2022 season rushing for 1,143 yards and 8 TDs, good for the 2nd-most rushing yards in an NFL season by a QB. However, Fields was relatively stagnant as a passer only throwing for 2,242 yards and 17 TDs. He has also been sacked 91 times in 2 seasons and has been known to hold onto the ball too long. This could be due to the lack of an offensive line and receiving weapons around him or his needing to develop more as a passer....
