Brady Cook to Start Season Finale

New York Jets undrafted rookie quarterback Brady Cook will make his fourth straight start in a Week 18 divisional matchup with the Bills. Dating back to Week 14, when he took over early for an injured Tyrod Taylor, Cook has completed less than 60% of his passes for 679 yards, while throwing one touchdown to seven interceptions. He has also been sacked a league-leading 18 times in that span, making the Bills DST an obvious unit to target in any leagues still playing for a Week 18 fantasy championship. Even with questions surrounding the availability of Josh Allen (foot) and the rest of the Bills' starters, Buffalo is a seven-point favorite at home in a game that will help to determine seeding in the AFC.

Brady Cook Not Worthy of Fantasy Consideration Vs. New England

New York Jets quarterback Brady Cook won't be on the fantasy radar in Week 17 when his team squares off with the New England Patriots at home. Cook has roughly three full games under his belt now and hasn't yet made a case to be considered for fantasy. Across the three appearances, the 24-year-old has completed a dismal 59.2% of his passes for 527 yards and a 1:6 TD:INT ratio. Unideally, he'll square off with a staunch Patriots' defense this Sunday that's been a top 12 unit against the pass (eleventh-fewest YPG) and against the rush (sixth-fewest YPG), further lowering his fantasy floor. Even in deep superflex/2QB formats, Cook won't be a recommended option, landing as RotoBaller's QB32 for this weekend's slate of action.

Brady Cook to Remain Jets' Starting Quarterback

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said that Brady Cook will remain the team's starting quarterback, per Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic. Cook has started each of New York's last two games after taking over for veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor in the middle of the Jets' Week 14 loss to the Miami Dolphins. An undrafted rookie out of the University of Missouri, Cook has struggled in his first taste of NFL action. Across three games (two starts), he's completed 59.2% of his pass attempts for 527 yards, one touchdown, and six interceptions. However, there's little incentive at this point in the season for the 3-12 Jets to do anything but attempt to improve their 2026 draft pick, which may be the reason why Glenn is sticking with Cook under center. Heading into a difficult Week 17 matchup against the New England Patriots, fantasy managers should avoid Cook and may want to move away from Jets running back Breece Hall as well.

Brady Cook Boasts Decent Rushing Upside in Week 16

New York Jets quarterback Brady Cook will get another chance to prove he's the solution under center in this Sunday's road matchup with the New Orleans Saints. Cook took the field for his first start in Week 15's 48-20 loss to the Jaguars. While the outcome and stat line aren't anything to write home about, the 24-year-old showed at least a little capability in moving the offense, leaving a trace of hope that New York's skill players may still hold a bit of fantasy value down the stretch. New Orleans' defense has, on paper, been decent against quarterbacks, allowing the sixth-fewest passing yards per game (180.6). However, some of that might be in part to a front seven that's vulnerable to the rush (130.6 YPG [seventh-most]). If the rookie can contribute on the ground weekly, he may boast some streaming appeal in superflex formats over the season's final few weeks. That said, fantasy managers will want to look elsewhere for another game as he continues to grow accustomed to life in the NFL. Cook is RotoBaller's QB29 for Week 16's outing.

Brady Cook Will Start Again in Week 16

New York Jets rookie quarterback Brady Cook has been named the starter for the team's Week 16 matchup with the Saints. Head coach Aaron Glenn made the announcement on Wednesday, adding that either Tyrod Taylor (groin) or Justin Fields (knee) will back him up. This marks Cook's second consecutive start after coming on early in relief of an injured Taylor in a Week 14 loss to the Dolphins, and then making his first career start in a Week 15 loss to the Jaguars. Through almost two full games, he has yet to top 180 passing yards while completing 57.1% of his passes with one touchdown to five interceptions. In the 48-20 loss to Jacksonville, running back Breece Hall was held to 23 yards on 12 carries, and against an underrated New Orleans defense on Sunday, all Jets offensive players will again face a severely limited fantasy ceiling.

Brady Cook Not a Fantasy Option in First Start

New York Jets quarterback Brady Cook will garner his first start of his young career in Sunday's road outing with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Cook took the field for the first time in Week 14's 34-10 loss to the visiting Dolphins after veteran Tyrod Taylor (groin) left the contest with an injury. It wasn't a banner day for the 24-year-old, who completed just 14-of-30 pass attempts while tossing two interceptions and fumbling twice (none lost). With Taylor and Justin Fields (knee) both sidelined for Week 15, Cook will get a chance to build off his debut, but won't be afforded any favors in an underrated Jacksonville defense. The Jags are beatable through the air, although they've clamped down on the opposition's scoring chances, yielding the eleventh-fewest points per game in the NFL (20.9). Cook won't be in fantasy consideration outside of superflex and 2QB formats, and officially ranks as RotoBaller's QB34 for his matchup with Jacksonville.

Brady Cook to Get Starting Nod for Jets in Week 15

According to the New York Post's Brian Costello, New York Jets quarterback Brady Cook will get the start for this weekend's road tilt with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Cook was thrust into action in the team's loss to the Dolphins in Week 14, following an injury to starting QB Tyrod Taylor (groin). With Taylor's injury lingering and Justin Fields (knee) dealing with an issue of his own, the rookie will make his first NFL start against the hosting Jaguars. The 24-year-old looked like a fish out of water last Sunday in his limited time on the field, and he won't be a recommended fantasy option when he squares off with Jacksonville in Week 15. With the first-year pro under center, it wouldn't be surprising to see New York lean on the ground game. However, the team may be without their starting RB, Breece Hall (knee), who is battling a knee injury.

Brady Cook Getting First-Team Reps on Wednesday

New York Jets rookie quarterback Brady Cook will get first-team reps at practice on Wednesday with both Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) missing practice, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN. With Taylor and Fields both hurt, the Jets re-signed Adrian Martinez as QB insurance as they head into a Week 15 date with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Cook took over for the injured Taylor in Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins and went 14-for-30 passing for 163 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. The 24-year-old looked like an undrafted rookie. If both Taylor and Fields aren't cleared to play this weekend, Cook would be forced into making his first NFL start. Even in two-QB superflex leagues, fantasy managers would want to look for better options. Regardless of who is starting under center for the Jets, the Jaguars' defense/special teams unit will be a popular play in Week 15.
