Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals running back Khalil Herbert was traded from Chicago on Tuesday before the trade deadline. It was surprising that the team activated him for his first game after just two days of practice. He only played 2% of the offensive snaps and didn't register any touches in the box score. He did fumble the hand-off on one play but was able to recover it. He'll have some extra time with the team and the playbook as the Bengals take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night in Week 11.

Khalil Herbert Active For Bengals Debut On Thursday
Cincinnati Bengals new running back Khalil Herbert, who was acquired from the Chicago Bears at the deadline on Tuesday, is officially active on Thursday night to make his debut with the team against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals made the move to land Herbert for more backfield depth behind starter Chase Brown after Zack Moss suffered a season-ending neck injury in the Week 9 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Herbert should have a bigger role in Cincinnati the rest of the way than he did in Chicago -- he had only eight carries for 16 yards and a touchdown in six games with the Bears -- but he probably won't have as much standalone fantasy appeal as Moss did while working alongside Brown. If anything, RB3 Trayveon Williams might see more run as a change-of-pace option in the Bengals' backfield as Herbert learns the offense.

Khalil Herbert Expected To Make Bengals Debut On Thursday
Cincinnati Bengals newly acquired running back Khalil Herbert is expected to be active to make his debut with the team on Thursday Night Football against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens, according to sources. The Bengals acquired Herbert from the Chicago Bears on Tuesday at the trade deadline, and he should immediately step in for Zack Moss (neck), who is expected to miss the rest of the regular season. Chase Brown's fantasy stock has seen a boost in recent weeks, and he's fully expected to be Cincy's primary backfield option going forward. Herbert and Trayveon Williams will battle for change-of-pace duties now that Moss is sidelined. The 26-year-old Herbert's fantasy value sees a boost with his trade to Cincy, although he'll still likely struggle for standalone starting appeal in fantasy lineups while working behind Brown.

Khalil Herbert Could Be Active For Bengals On Thursday
Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said that he won't rule out newly acquired running back Khalil Herbert making his debut with the team on Thursday night against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens after being acquired from the Chicago Bears in a trade on Tuesday. Taylor said Herbert has been productive as a runner and is an able and willing pass-protector as well. Herbert should immediately become Chase Brown's backup in Cincy with Zack Moss (neck) done for the year. The 26-year-old won't be a recommended starting fantasy option in Week 10 if he's active in his first game with his new team, but he's certainly worth a waiver-wire pickup for any fantasy managers that need more RB depth or who need the new handcuff for Brown. Herbert saw only eight carries for 16 yards in six games with the Bears but did manage to find the end zone once.

Bengals Acquiring Khalil Herbert From Bears
The Cincinnati Bengals are trading for Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert on Tuesday, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero. The 26-year-old has been phased out of the Chicago offense as D'Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson occupy the RB1 and RB2 roles, and the team permitted Herbert to seek a trade. The former sixth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft has rushed 372 times for 1,791 yards and nine touchdowns through the first 48 games of his career. With Cincy running back Zack Moss (neck) out indefinitely, Herbert could see touches alongside Chase Brown when he gets comfortable with the new playbook. While Herbert is not a must-add in all fantasy leagues, he now has a path to fantasy relevance and should be considered on the waiver wire in at least 14+ team leagues. If nothing else, he is now a handcuff RB for Brown in one of the league's best offenses.

Khalil Herbert A Healthy Scratch In Week 9
Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert appeared on the inactive report ahead of the team's Week 9 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. The Bears decided to roll with D'Andre Swift, Roschon Johnson, and Travis Homer as their three backs for the week. Herbert is now falling out of the lineup and shouldn't be on anyone's fantasy radar.

Khalil Herbert Given Permission To Seek Trade
Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert was a healthy scratch from last week's loss to the Washington Commanders. Now, it's being reported that the organization has given Herbert permission to seek a trade. Herbert has fallen out of the rotation with D'Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson playing well right now. That being said, the Bears don't have much incentive to play Herbert who is in his final year of his contract. The 26-year-old has rushed for over 600 yards over the last previous seasons. He has a cheap salary and could be worth the risk for a contending team trying to add depth to their roster. Herbert might be worth a stash but there is no guarantee he gets traded.

Khalil Herbert Scratched Ahead Of Week 8
Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert (coach's decision) is a healthy scratch for Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders. The 26-year-old has seen his role essentially disappear this season. He hasn't registered a touch since Week 3, logging only a few snaps during that span. Now, with Travis Homer active, Herbert is the odd man out. Despite his decreasing role, Herbert could be an intriguing name on the trade market as other teams look to solidify their running back down the stretch. Even if traded, though, Herbert won't be a reliable fantasy option.

Khalil Herbert "Could Be The Subject Of Calls"
Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert was included in Ian Rapport's list of "players whose names are generating interest in trade discussions." The 26-year-old has spent his entire career in Chicago, where he has had some solid showings. However, he's having the worst season of his career, amassing only eight carries for 16 yards and a touchdown. The Bears currently deploy D'Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson out of the backfield, leaving little room for Herbert to get involved. While he's not worth a roster spot in fantasy leagues, his stock could rise significantly moving ahead if he gets moved, so the situation is worth monitoring.

Khalil Herbert Scores In Week 2 Against Texans
In the Chicago Bears' Week 2 matchup against the Houston Texans, running back Khalil Herbert scored the team's only touchdown. Despite only getting two carries, Herbert made a significant impact, including a 2-yard touchdown run in the second quarter that brought the Bears within 13-10. With the Bears needing a score before halftime, they turned to Herbert, a former Virginia Tech standout, to deliver. The touchdown came on a critical third-and-goal situation, frustrating D'Andre Swift's managers, who were hoping for a score from Swift. Although Herbert isn't the primary back for the Bears, his role in the offense remains clear. Since being drafted by Chicago in 2021, Herbert has consistently contributed, and his performance solidifies his value as a handcuff for Swift owners. While he may not lead the backfield, Herbert's ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities makes him a valuable asset in fantasy leagues.
