Bijan Robinson News
University of Texas running back Bijan Robinson is taking a pre-draft visit to the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday, according to a source. Robinson to the Eagles in this year's draft makes plenty of sense, although general manager Howie Roseman has never taken a running back in the first round of a draft. The 21-year-old is easily the No. 1 RB prospect in this year's class, and he's fully expected to come off the board in the first round. If the Eagles like him that much, Roseman will have to take his first RB in the first round. Philly let Miles Sanders walk in free agency, but they re-signed Boston Scott and also added Rashaad Penny. However, given Penny's extensive injury history, it would make sense for the Eagles to add some more insurance at the position.
University of Texas running back Bijan Robinson posted a 4.46-second 40-yard dash time, a 1.54-second 10-yard split time, a 37-inch vertical jump and 10-foot-4-inch broad jump at the NFL combine. Those measurables place him in the good to elite range in the relative athletic score metric, so he'll continue to be viewed as the consensus RB1 of the 2023 draft class. He's also the consensus top pick in dynasty in all formats by most of the fantasy football community, and his combine performance did nothing to hurt his standing. Robinson might be the lone running back selected in the first round of the draft in April.
University of Texas running back Bijan Robinson is widely considered to be the best prospect at his position in the 2023 NFL Draft class. Although a running back has not been selected higher than pick 24 since Saquon Barkley in 2018, ESPN's Mel Kiper stated that he believes Robinson will be drafted in the first round. Kiper went on to describe Robinson as "top-10 caliber" in this year's draft. The 21-year-old possesses an elite three-down skillset, posting 3,410 rushing yards, 60 receptions, 805 receiving yards, and 41 total touchdowns in his three collegiate seasons. Robinson figures to make an immediate impact on any team willing to spend up to get him on April 27th.
