Olamide Zaccheaus Should Not Be Started In Week 16

Washington Commanders wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus should be expected to continue to operate as the No. 3 wideout in Week 16 but should not be started in any formats while facing the Philadelphia Eagles. Last weekend, Zaccheaus brought in three of his four targets for 36 yards. He also found the end zone, but the play was eventually called back due to an offensive penalty. Zaccheaus has typically been deployed as a depth option in the passing attack but has seen an uptick in opportunities with Noah Brown (kidney) on Injured Reserve. He has shown upside at times in his limited role, averaging an impressive 10.0 yards per catch this season. However, facing one of the top secondaries in the sport that has allowed the fewest PPR points to opposing wideouts makes Zaccheaus a desperation option in deep PPR formats that should be avoided.

Olamide Zaccheaus Catches Three Passes On Sunday

Washington Commanders wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus caught three of his four targets for 36 yards during their victory over the New Orleans Saints. Zaccheaus also found the end zone on the game's opening drive, but the play was called back due to a penalty. Zaccheaus' four targets tied him for the second-highest on the team alongside Dyami Brown. However, tight end Zach Ertz (concussion) left the game in the first half with a concussion, which opened up more opportunities for Zaccheaus late in the game. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Ertz's status, as this could open up a stable role for Zaccheaus. In addition, with Noah Brown (kidney) on the IR, the No.2 spot on the depth chart is currently open. Zaccheaus will look to have another solid showing next weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Olamide Zaccheaus Worth Monitoring In Week 15

Washington Commanders wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus is worth paying attention to in Week 15 as he may contend for a starting role with Noah Brown (ribs) injured. While Dyami Brown is the likely candidate, Zaccheaus should have the edge over rookie Luke McCaffrey for the No.3 spot on the offense. When Noah Brown left Week 13's game early with an injury, Dyami Brown saw the greatest uptick in snaps, with Zaccheaus following closely behind him. While Dyami Brown has run more routes than Zaccheaus this season, the latter has seen more targets in a small sample size (2.9 targets per game compared to Brown's 2.1), which also suggests Zaccheaus could find a potential role in this offense that is conducive to deeper formats. For now, Zaccheaus is worth following closely in deeper 3WR formats, as he could emerge as the new option in the slot for Jayden Daniels.

Olamide Zaccheaus Still Not A Starting Fantasy Option In Week 12

Washington Commanders wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus has been quiet in his first season with the team. After a few productive outings while with the Atlanta Falcons, the 27-year-old has barely been involved in 2024-25, catching only 23 passes (34 targets) for 242 yards. In all fairness, Jayden Daniels is capable of making big gains using his legs. Terry McLaurin, Brian Robinson Jr., and Austin Ekeler also command a certain amount of attention whenever they step on the field. As a result, Zaccheaus doesn't have a place in fantasy lineups for Week 12 versus the Dallas Cowboys. That's not expected to change anytime soon unless someone goes down with an injury.

Olamide Zaccheaus Paces Washington Wideouts In Yards

Washington Commanders wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus led all Washington pass catchers with 85 yards on Sunday afternoon in their victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Zaccheaus caught all six of his targets, which were only second to Terry McLaurin (10 targets). This was a nice breakout performance for the 27-year-old, as he has caught just one pass through the first three weeks of action. Last week, he did not even see a target, and ran just four routes. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Zacchaeus's performance as he outperformed Noah Brown (26 yards) and rookie Luke McCaffrey (17 yards), who have typically been deployed as the No.2 and No.3 wideouts, respectively. Zaccheaus should remain on your waiver wire for now in standard leagues, but could be worth stashing in deeper 14+ team leagues.

Olamide Zaccheaus Starting In Week 1

Washington Commanders wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus is listed as a starter alongside Terry McLaurin and Luke McCaffrey to begin the 2024 campaign. This is somewhat of a surprise, but he has been gaining ground on the depth chart following the departure of Jahan Dotson, who was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles. Head coach Dan Quinn was a part of the Atlanta Falcons staff that brought Zaccheaus in as an undrafted free agent in 2019, so he has familiarity with the culture Quinn is trying to establish. Although the 27-year-old wideout has flashed at times throughout his career, his overall numbers of 104 receptions for 1,492 yards and 10 touchdowns in 72 career games aren't all that impressive. Either way, he should have his best opportunity to produce in 2024, though his upside is likely limited with rookie Jayden Daniels starting at quarterback.

Olamide Zaccheaus Making Case For WR2 Role

When asked about the status of his wideouts, Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn praised wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus for his strong camp. The Commanders' wide receiver room has been a hot topic this Summer as Washington continues to look for its second WR behind veteran Terry McLaurin. "We're right in the middle of it," Quinn said when asked about the competition between his pass-catchers -- "I've been really impressed with Olamide." Known for his route-running and reliable hands, the sixth-year wideout has put himself in the category of a serious contender regarding the starting job. This will be a camp battle worth monitoring, as it was presumed Jahan Dotson had the inside edge in this role. Dotson is listed as the current WR2 on Washington's unofficial depth chart, but Zaccheaus will also have Dyami Brown and rookie Luke McCaffrey to contend with for playing time. He's nothing more than a late-draft dart throw or waiver-wire fodder until the situation is more concrete. Zaccheaus is Yahoo!'s WR145.

Olamide Zaccheaus A Lock To Make Commanders Roster?

Washington Commanders wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus signed with the organization this offseason on a one-year, $1.28 million contract. His salary would suggest he's not guaranteed to make the roster, but Ben Standig of the Athletic believes he is close to being a lock. "The first three (wide receivers) are locks, and Zaccheaus probably adds that distinction over time," Standig wrote. Zaccheaus has collected 104 of his 171 targets for 1,492 yards and 10 touchdowns through his first 72 career games with the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles. It'd be a surprise if he's a fantasy football contributor in 2024, but it sounds like he could occupy the WR4 role behind Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, and Luke McCaffrey under new offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury.

Olamide Zaccheaus Signing With Commanders

Free-agent wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus has agreed to terms to sign with the Washington Commanders, according to John Keim of ESPN. Zaccheaus was originally undrafted out of Virginia in the 2019 class, and he spent four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons before one year with the Philadelphia Eagles last season. Overall, the 26-year-old has hauled in 104 passes for 1,492 yards and 10 touchdowns through his first 72 NFL games. With Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson on the roster and Washington likely to take shots on wide receivers in next month's draft, Zaccheaus is unlikely to have a path toward fantasy success in 2024, barring injury. He's likely just a depth piece for a franchise looking to rebuild on the fly.

Olamide Zaccheaus Comes Down With Clutch Touchdown In Week 12

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus caught his lone target for a 29-yard touchdown during the team's 37-34 overtime win over the Buffalo Bills. The 26-year-old wide receiver has not been heavily involved, even when Quez Watkins was on Injured Reserve, but he came down with a clutch touchdown catch on an extended play in tight coverage to put the Eagles ahead for the first time in the second half. While the story is great, Julio Jones saw more targets than Zaccheaus this week, and he remains nothing more than a bench stash in dynasty leagues. The former Atlanta Falcon will not be a recommended fantasy option against the San Francisco 49ers next week.
