Sean Tucker has Low-End Flex Value Against Patriots

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker saw a season-high 12 touches during the Week 8 win over the New Orleans Saints. Before that, Tucker had seen a minimal role in this offense even with Bucky Irving (shoulder, toe) sidelined over the last few weeks. Tucker rushed 12 times for 42 yards and scored a touchdown in the Week 8 victory. It's unclear how much he'll be involved on the ground against a tough New England Patriots run defense in Week 10. There's not a ton of upside here, but Tucker could offer low-end flex value in certain formats.

Sean Tucker Bound for Another Elevated Workload?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker should again see a modest workload this weekend when his team takes on the New England Patriots at home. Tucker and backfield mate Rachaad White have both seen their touch shares rise since Week 5, while teammate Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) has tended to injury. With Irving trending toward being out another game, that should be the case again in Week 10. Tucker found standalone value for the first time this season before Tampa Bay's bye, punching in his second touchdown of the campaign. However, New England poses a far greater challenge than the Saints did the week before. The 24-year-old is on the fantasy radar, but only as a low-end flex asset.

Sean Tucker Remains off Fantasy Radar

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker hasn't been able to bring much to the table over the last few weeks. Tucker has moved up the depth chart to the No. 2 option behind Rachaad White in recent weeks. That should remain the same in Week 8 with Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) still sidelined. Despite that, Tucker hasn't been able to find much success on the field. Last week, Tucker rushed one time for four yards and hauled in one reception for two yards in the loss to the Detroit Lions. The hope is that Tucker will be more involved against the New Orleans Saints in Week 8. However, fantasy managers shouldn't count on him considering he has 10 total carries over the last three games. It's obvious that the Bucs trust White with a majority of the carries in the backfield, so Tucker isn't going to offer much value.

Sean Tucker Set for Bigger Role in Week 8, but Still Just a Deep-League Stash

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker is expected to see an uptick in opportunities in Week 8 with Bucky Irving (foot/shoulder) ruled out. Tampa Bay relied heavily on Rachaad White last week, giving him a massive 90% snap share, but that workload isn't sustainable long term and the team is likely to rotate in a second back more frequently. Tucker has been used sparingly this season with just 11 carries for 34 yards and one touchdown, but he is the clear favorite to slot into the No. 2 role behind White this week. Still, Tucker remains more of a watch-list name than a priority waiver pickup in fantasy leagues, as White continues to dominate both rushing and receiving work in Tampa Bay's offense. Managers in deeper formats may consider adding Tucker as a speculative bench stash.

Sean Tucker a Touchdown-Dependent Option

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker figures to see more chances in the backfield with Bucky Irving (foot) missing another game. Last week, Tucker rushed six times for 25 yards and a touchdown in the win over the San Francisco 49ers. Rachaad White is the lead back while Irving is out, which means Tucker is likely only going to see a handful of carries. The Bucs are banged up on offense, so possibly Tucker does see more of the field in Week 7. Despite that, fantasy managers shouldn't trust him as anything more than a touchdown-dependent option for the Week 7 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Sean Tucker To See More Opportunities in Week 7?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker is expected to serve as the No. 2 RB behind Rachaad White for the third consecutive game, with starter Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder) still banged up and listed as doubtful for Sunday. Tucker made an impact in Tampa Bay's Week 6 win over San Francisco, handling six carries for 25 yards and a touchdown. White still held a meaningful touch advantage with 20 to Tucker's six, but Tucker still has value as a handcuff to White in case he misses time and is worth rostering in 12-team leagues until Irving returns.

Sean Tucker's Rushing Workload Could Continue to Increase

In his team's second full game without starting running back Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder), Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker saw his rushing workload increase. Tucker recorded six carries for 25 yards and a touchdown in Tampa Bay's 30-19 Week 6 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Tucker still appears to be firmly behind fellow Buccaneers back Rachaad White, who logged 20 total touches against San Francisco. Still, with Irving likely to remain sidelined through at least Week 7, Tampa Bay could be working Tucker into a larger role. At the very least, Tucker has value as a short-term handcuff option to White and should be rostered in all fantasy leagues with 12 or more teams.

Sean Tucker Belongs on the Bench in Week 6

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker moved into the No. 2 role in the backfield during last week's game against the Seattle Seahawks. The assumption was that Tucker would see a handful of carries with Bucky Irving (foot) sidelined. Tucker didn't see much of the field as Rachaad White did most of the work on offense. Tucker rushed the ball three times for three yards while hauling in three passes for -4 yards in the win. The expectation is that Tucker will see a handful of touches this weekend, but isn't a trustworthy starter. Fantasy managers should keep Tucker on the bench for the Week 6 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

Sean Tucker is Too Risky for Week 5

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker is set for an increased role for the upcoming Week 5 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. The Bucs are without lead back Bucky Irving (foot) for Sunday's game. That being said, Rachaad White will take over as the lead back for this game. That also means, Sean Tucker moves up into the No. 2 role for this contest. The 23-year-old has only rushed the ball once through the first four games. Despite that, Tucker was a capable option when he was given a chance last season. He rushed the ball 50 times for 308 yards and two touchdowns in 17 games in 2024. That's an incredible 6.16 yards per carry, so the potential is certainly there. The biggest problem is the workload is unknown here, so Tucker is going to be too risky to trust for this Week 5 contest.

Sean Tucker Likely to be More Involved in Week 5

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Sean Tucker figures to see involvement in the backfield this weekend. The Bucs are going to be without Bucky Irving (foot) for this Sunday's Week 5 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. That being said, Rachaad White will move into the lead back role with Tucker likely taking over as the backup. Through four games, Tucker has only rushed the ball once and has mainly been on special teams all season long. Tucker could be worth stashing in case Irving misses multiple weeks. However, Tucker isn't a recommended streaming option for Week 5. White will likely see a majority of the carries while the Bucs probably go with a pass-heavy approach on offense.
