Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed former New York Giants offensive guard Ben Bredeson to a one-year deal worth up to $3.5 million on Friday, according to a source. The former Baltimore Ravens' fourth-round pick in 2020 out of Michigan started a career-high 16 games in his third season for the Giants last year. The 26-year-old offensive lineman spent only his rookie season in Baltimore before playing for the G-Men the last three seasons. In his four seasons in the NFL to this point, Bredeson has only started 25 of the 45 games that he's appeared in, so he shouldn't be expected to fill a starting role on Tampa's offensive line to begin the 2024 season this fall.

Ben Bredeson Could Miss Time With Hand Injury
New York Giants left guard Ben Bredeson (hand) suffered a hand injury in the Week 3 loss to the Atlanta Falcons that could force him to miss some time, according to sources. It partially explains why the team signed offensive guard Wes Martin off the Washington Football Team practice squad on Monday. If Bredeson is forced to sit in Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints, the Giants would be starting their fourth left guard of the year in the fourth game. That would obviously be really bad news for an offense that has struggled to stay consistent to begin the 2021 season. And the Saints defensive line is one of the better units in the NFL, so it could be another long day for New York's offense this Sunday.

Ben Bredeson Goes To Ravens In Fourth Round
The Baltimore Ravens selected Michigan offensive guard Ben Bredeson with the No. 143 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft in the fourth round. Bredeson was a two-time team captain and four-year starter in college. He has good size (6-foot-5, 315 pounds) but poor length. Bredeson profiles better as a run-blocker than he does as a pass-protector, so he'll likely be used as a situational offensive lineman, at least early on in his career. It's back-to-back offensive line picks for the Ravens as they look to beef up their pass protection and run blocking.
