Dan Vladar Considered Day-To-Day

Calgary Flames goaltender Dan Vladar (lower body) is considered day-to-day. He didn't practice on Friday and might have already been affected by the injury in Thursday's matchup against Tampa Bay, as Vladar had a torrid time with eight goals allowed on 26 shots. Vladar is sharing starts with Dustin Wolf this season and has gone 6-6-4 with two shutouts. He has allowed 3.08 goals with a .885 save percentage. Devin Cooley has been brought up from the minors to fill in for Vladar. He owns a 2-3-1 career record in the NHL.

Dan Vladar Cools Down Blue Jackets

Calgary Flames goaltender Dan Vladar registered his second shutout of the season on Tuesday in a 3-0 win against Columbus. The Blue Jackets headed to Calgary after scoring at least four goals in six consecutive games, but they tested Vladar just 16 times and ended up without a goal for the first time in 2024-25. Vladar improved to 5-5-3 for the season. He has allowed 2.66 goals with a .904 save percentage. The Czech netminder continues to share the workload with Dustin Wolf, and both have done well. They have recorded a combined save percentage of .911, tying for seventh-best among all teams in the league.

Dan Vladar Set For Second Consecutive Start Sunday

Calgary Flames goaltender Dan Vladar will make a second consecutive start on Sunday versus Edmonton. The Flames have thus far rotated their goalies this season, but the pattern will be broken in Sunday's Battle of Alberta. It's fair to say Vladar has probably earned a second consecutive start as well after posting a shutout against a quality Devils team last time out. He sits on a 3-2-1 record for the campaign and has allowed 2.65 goals with a .909 save percentage. Vladar has already beaten the Oilers once in 2024-25, stopping 25 pucks in a 4-1 victory on Oct. 13. Edmonton has struggled for goals all year and visits Calgary without Connor McDavid (ankle), boosting Vladar's chances of success in the matchup.

Dan Vladar Shuts Out Devils Friday Night

Calgary Flames goaltender Dan Vladar registered a 22-save shutout in Friday's 3-0 victory over New Jersey. He picked up his first shutout of the year, bouncing back from three consecutive losses. The recent losing spell has left a stain on Vladar's record, but he's done well this season, going 3-2-1 with a 2.65 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage. Calgary continues to rotate the goalies, meaning we will likely see Dustin Wolf in Sunday's Battle of Alberta. Vladar will return to work on Monday in a good matchup against the 4-6-1 Canadiens.

Dan Vladar To Miss The Rest Of The Season

Calgary Flames goaltender Dan Vladar (hip) will miss the remainder of the season but is expected to be ready for next season. "It's obviously unfortunate for 'Vladdy'," Flames defenseman MacKenzie Weegar said. "I think he's been dealing with that (injury) for quite a while. He's a warrior about it. The one thing we do have here is depth at goaltender." The 26-year-old worked to a 3.62 goals-against average and an .882 save percentage across 20 outings (19 starts) this season, going 8-9-2 in the process. He last appeared on March 12 while Dustin Wolfe has started the past two games with both Vladar and No. 1 netminder Jacob Markstrom sidelined, although the latter could return Saturday.

Dan Vladar Placed On Injured Reserve

Calgary Flames goaltender Dan Vladar (lower body) landed on Injured Reserve on Friday. The Czech netminder worked as Jacob Markstrom's backup on Thursday against New Jersey, but he reportedly hurt himself during the warm-ups before the game. Vladar has had an up-and-down campaign with the Flames in 2023-24, going 7-7-2. The team has called up Dustin Wolf from the minors as cover for Markstrom until Vladar can return to the lineup. The 22-year-old has performed well in the AHL, but he's had a tough time in the big league, posting a 1-2-1 record in four starts this season with a 3.46 goals-against average and a .893 save percentage.

Daniel Vladar Collects Victory In Relief

Calgary Flames goaltender Daniel Vladar entered the game in relief after starter Jacob Markstrom was pulled in Sunday's 5-4 victory against the Ducks. Markstrom allowed two goals on nine shots in the opening period, and with the team trailing by two goals he was taken out of the game during the first intermission. Vladar entered the contest and stopped 11-of-13 shots on goal, while the team scored five goals after the goalie change to pick up a massive victory in their push for the final Western Conference wild card spot. Vladar carries a 2.83 goals against average and .895 save percentage on the season, and the Flames backup could close out the regular season as the number one option in the final five games while Markstrom has underperformed with a 2.98 goals against average and .890 save percentage on the season.

Daniel Vladar Extends Point Streak In Flames Goal

Calgary Flames goaltender Daniel Vladar defeated the St. Louis Blues 4-1 on Thursday and has now gone nine consecutive appearances without a regulation loss. He got there with 25 saves this time around, keeping the Blues back until Calgary broke out with three goals inside the final 10 minutes of play. Vladar improved to 7-4-4 for the campaign, and he has registered a 2.64 goals-against average with a .910 save percentage. Jacob Markstrom remains the Flames No. 1, but Vladar has outperformed him this season and could find himself with more opportunities during the latter half of the campaign as the playoff race starts to pick up.

Daniel Vladar Will Start Against Avalanche

Calgary Flames goaltender Daniel Vladar will get the start against the Avalanche on Saturday night. The 24-year-old will get a chance to bounce back from his previous appearance against the Canucks on February 24, where he allowed four goals on 17 shots. Vladar is not a recommended streaming option against the second highest-scoring team in the NHL.

Daniel Vladar Starts Thursday For Calgary

Calgary Flames goalie Daniel Vladar will be between the pipes against Tampa Bay. The Prague Czech Republic native sports an impressive 5-1-1 record, and he has posted two shutouts. He's also contributed 2.10 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage. His last start came on December,7th which resulted in a 5-3 loss to San Jose, allowing four goals on 26 shots. Vladar will not be a fantasy factor this season as he will serve as the backup to Jacob Markstrom.

Daniel Vladar Drops First Regulation Decision Tuesday

Calgary Flames goaltender Daniel Vladar has played stellar in the role of backup to Jacob Markstrom. Coming into Tuesday night, he was 5-0-1 on the season, including three straight road wins. Calgary even built him a 3-1 lead early in the second period. Then it fell apart, as San Jose rallied for three goals in an eight-minute span. Erik Karlsson, Logan Couture and Tomas Hertl all scored, turning Calgary's lead into a 4-3 deficit. Ultimately, Hertl completed the hat trick on an empty-net goal in the third period to ice the 5-3 defeat. Despite just stopping 22 of 26 shots, Vladar is still 5-1-1 on the season with a 2.10 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage.

Daniel Vladar Notches Shootout Win On Friday

Calgary Flames backup goaltender Daniel Vladar continued his solid play on Friday night as he won his fifth game of the season against the Anaheim Ducks. The goalie did have his shutout streak snapped at two games but stopped 31 of 34 shots. He stopped the shootout attempts of Trevor Zegras and Kevin Shattenkirk in the victory. What may be more impressive is simply the fact that Vladar has not lost in regulation. This is despite the fact that he has started every game on the road. The goaltender is a great backup option in the deepest of fantasy leagues.

Daniel Vladar Frustrates His Former Team

Calgary Flames goaltender Daniel Vladar posted his second consecutive shutout on Sunday, stopping 27 shots in a 4-0 victory over Boston. The shutouts just keep on coming for the Flames, and they are now the first team in league history with 7 shutouts within the first 19 games of a season since offensive forward passes were allowed in 1929. Vladar, who was traded by the Bruins in July, has started life in Calgary with a 4-0-1 record. He's allowed only 1.57 goals per game with a .945 save percentage.

Daniel Vladar Guards Cage For Bruins On Sunday

Boston Bruins goaltender Daniel Vladar will record his fifth start of the season on Sunday against Washington, looking for his third win. The 23-year-old has done very well in the first few starts of his career, going 2-1-1 with a 2.25 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage. Jeremy Swayman, who made three consecutive starts during the week, didn't exactly struggle either, but the Bruins have had a very busy week and they complete a five-game slate with Vladar between the pipes here. The Capitals like to travel to Boston, picking up nine wins from their last 11 trips, so Vladar faces a big task here.

Daniel Vladar Makes Third Career Start On Thursday

Boston Bruins goaltender Daniel Vladar will record his third career start in Thursday's matchup against Pittsburgh. He made his NHL debut last month and has won both outings so far with a 1.50 goals-against average and a .952 save percentage. Boston was forced to switch to Vladar as Jaroslav Halak's backup with Tuukka Rask (upper body) struggling to stay healthy. The Penguins have won only two of their last 14 trips to Boston, so this looks like a solid spot for Vladar to maintain his perfect career record.

Daniel Vladar Wins First NHL Start With 34 Saves

Boston Bruins goaltender Daniel Vladar had 34 saves in his first career start on Tuesday, helping the team beat Pittsburgh 2-1. David Pastrnak had a power-play goal and Trent Frederic delivered the victory in the third period. Vladar is the 20th Bruins goalie in history to win his first career regular-season start. Niklas Svedberg was the last one to do it in 2013-14. The 23-year-old Czech netminder got his chance with the team in a back-to-back situation and not having Tuukka Rask (undisclosed) available. Rask has been out since Mar. 7 but is close to a return, according to reports. The B's are back in action on Thursday against Buffalo.

Daniel Vladar Makes First Career Start On Tuesday

Boston Bruins goaltender Daniel Vladar will make his first career start in Tuesday's matchup against Pittsburgh. Jaroslav Halak played in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Penguins and Tuukka Rask (undisclosed) is currently out, so it's a big chance for Vladar, whose only previous NHL experience came in last season's playoffs, in a relief effort against Tampa during which he allowed three goals on 15 shots. The Penguins are currently streaking with six straight wins, so Vladar could be in for a very long night and it might not be the most memorable debut ever.
