Trevor Zegras Continues To Draw Trade Interest

Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras continues to generate trade interest, according to The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun. The skilled center saw his name churn through the rumor mill during the 2023-24 season but it appears Ducks general manager Pat Verbeek continues to field calls regarding the American. Zegras had a tough season both from a health and underperformance standpoint in 2023-24 as he notched just six goals and 15 points across 31 games while also dealing with a broken ankle that cost him significant time. The Ducks drafted Zegras with the ninth overall pick of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and he has collected 55 goals and 154 points across 211 games since.

Trevor Zegras To Return Tuesday

Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras will make his return to the lineup when the club takes on the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday. The 23-year-old broke his ankle in a 5-3 win over the Nashville Predators on Jan. 9 and has since missed 31 games. He has returned to full practice in recent days. "Just try and help the team in anyway I can," Zegras said on Tuesday. "Obviously watching a lot (of games), mentally it's there, so hopefully [I] can go out and physically be there. That would be good, too." It had been a slow start to the season for Zegras who has just four goals and seven points on 49 shots on goal across 20 games. He tallied at least 61 points in each of the last two seasons. He practiced on the third line between Isac Lundestrom and Brett Leason at Tuesday's morning skate.

Trevor Zegras Nearing Return

Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras (ankle) has ditched crushes and is expected to resume on-ice activities soon. He's been out since early January when Zegras broke his left ankle. The talented centerman has struggled for form in 2023-24, registering seven points (four goals, three assists) in 20 games, and we might actually have seen the last of Zegras in a Ducks jersey, as his name has popped up in many trade rumors. The NHL trade deadline is coming up on March 8. Zegras' return to action should come soon after that.

Trevor Zegras Out For 6-8 Weeks With Broken Ankle

Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras has been ruled out for 6-8 weeks with a broken ankle. He was injured in his 200th career game on Tuesday versus Nashville. Zegras has already missed 20 games this season because of a lower-body problem, and the new injury blow means he likely won't get any action before March. It's been a horror year for the talented centerman, as Zegras has recorded only seven points (four goals, three assists) in 20 games. Mason McTavish took on the first-line center role Thursday against Carolina, while Adam Henrique centered the second line.

Trevor Zegras Out "For A While"

Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras suffered a lower-body injury Tuesday against Nashville and will be "out for a while," according to Ducks head coach Greg Cronin. Zegras was hurt early in the game during his third shift when he got tangled up with Nashville forward Juuso Parssinen and took an awkward fall. The talented youngster only recently returned from a lower-body injury, which kept him out for 20 games. Zegras has had a disappointing season with seven points (four goals, three assists) in 20 games, and Tuesday's injury is a further blow for him. Ryan Strome replaced Zegras on the top line Tuesday.

Trevor Zegras Pots Two Goals Sunday

Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras tallied two goals in Sunday's 3-2 home loss to Detroit. He scored the opener just 20 seconds into the game and also grabbed an early goal in the third period, but the Ducks got undone by a late Michael Rasmussen strike. With the performance, Zegras doubled his goal tally for the campaign. He's been shockingly unproductive in 19 outings, notching only seven points. However, Zegras has collected five points in seven games since returning from a lower-body injury, so his efforts in the attack have been much better lately.

Trevor Zegras Available Again On Saturday

Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras (lower body) has come off Injured Reserve and is expected to rejoin the action on Saturday against Seattle. Anaheim's starlet is returning from a long absence, having last played on Nov. 7. He'll jump on the top line and the first power-play unit, replacing Leo Carlsson (lower body), who was hurt against Calgary on Thursday. Zegras will be desperate to kickstart his campaign after logging only two points (one goal, one assist) thus far in 12 appearances.

Mason McTavish, Trevor Zegras, Jamie Drysdale Could Return Soon For Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks could have reinforcements coming soon, as forwards Mason McTavish (upper body) and Trevor Zegras (lower body), as well as defenseman Jamie Drysdale (lower body), will join the team on their upcoming four-game road trip. The young trio has missed varying amounts of time due to their injuries, with McTavish missing just three games thus far, while Zegras has missed 15 and Drysdale has missed 25. They will be welcome additions to a Ducks team that has struggled mightily recently, and the forwards should plug back into the top-six and first powerplay unit while Drysdale provides some depth at defense. McTavish and Zegras should be rostered in most fantasy leagues.

Trevor Zegras Placed On Injured Reserve

Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras (lower body) has been placed on Injured Reserve. He's set to miss a third straight game with a lower-body issue on Tuesday versus Nashville. Zegras reportedly played through the injury for a while, and his season hasn't gone well, with the talented centerman collecting only two points (one goal, one assist) in 12 outings. Alex Killorn has joined the first line in Zegras' absence.

Trevor Zegras Won't Play On Friday

Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras will miss Friday's contest against Philadelphia with a lower-body injury. According to Ducks head coach Greg Cronin, the issue had been "bugging" Zegras for a while, and he needs to get some rest. Zegras has struggled massively this season, posting only two points (one goal, one assist) in 12 games. Hopefully, he can turn things around when he's back to full health and on the ice again. Zegras' absence lifts Alex Killorn to the top line on Friday.

Trevor Zegras, Ducks Agree To Three-Year Deal

Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras has signed off on a new three-year contract with the club that carries an average annual value of $5.75 million. The 22-year-old was a restricted free agent and has not been present at training camp while waiting to get a new contract signed. Drafted with the ninth overall pick of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, the American pivot tied a career-high with 23 goals while setting a new career-high with 65 points across 81 games last season. Additionally, he recorded new career highs in shots (184), blocks (29), penalty minutes (88), and average ice time per game (18:50) a season ago. Zegras is a solid fantasy asset but sports far better value in dynasty leagues than redraft leagues at this stage.

Trevor Zegras, Jamie Drysdale Absent On First Day Of Camp

Anaheim Ducks center Trevor Zegras and defenseman Jamie Drysdale were both not in attendance for the club's opening day of training camp on Thursday. Both youngsters are without new contracts as they skate in their third and final season of their three-year entry-level deals and are set to hit restricted free agency at season's end. Ducks general manager Pat Verbeek said "There's constant talk and so you just work through it" but his team remains without two core young players heading into training camp. Zegras, 22, notched 23 goals and 65 points across 81 games in his sophomore season last year while Drysdale, 21, skated in just eight games before undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery in late October.

Trevor Zegras Looking To Improve Defensively

Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras is hoping to ink a new contract with the team soon and aims to up his defensive game, following discussions with new head coach Greg Cronin. "He thinks that defensive side can be a lot better, which I agree with," Zegras said. "And he thinks it's more of just learning how to play defense. You get to a certain level, the effort is always going to be there, but it's the little stuff that he can teach me in the [defensive] zone that could potentially change the way I play 200 feet. It's exciting. He's got a clear passion for it. I'm ready to go." Offensively, Zegras has already proved plenty in the NHL, posting back-to-back 60-point campaigns. He is currently a restricted free agent after finishing his entry-level contract. "Hopefully we get something done soon," Zegras said about his contract situation. "I do miss California and my teammates, so it would be nice to get back there."

Trevor Zegras Sets New Career High With 62 Points

Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras got to celebrate a new career high in points Sunday, logging his 62nd point of the campaign in a 5-4 overtime loss to Colorado. He set his new record with an even-strength assist on Anaheim's first goal. Zegras is on 22 goals and 40 assists through 79 games. The 22-year-old is the first Ducks player with 40-plus assists in a season since Ryan Getzlaf in 2017-18. Zegras won't be winning the Stanley Cup in his second season like Getzlaf did, but the Ducks do have a good group of young players emerging and the dark times shouldn't last for long anymore for Anaheim fans.

Trevor Zegras Set To Return Against Edmonton

Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras (lower body) will be back in the lineup Saturday against the Oilers. He was injured earlier in the week in a game against Colorado, but luckily it appears as though it was only a minor issue as Zegras returns after missing just one contest. The 22-year-old tops the Ducks' scoring charts with 59 points in 74 games, while also leading the team with 22 goals and 37 assists. Zegras will look to overcome a rough patch on Saturday after posting only one point in his most recent five appearances.

Trevor Zegras Suffers A Lower-Body Injury

Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras was limited to only 9:56 of ice time in Monday's clash with Colorado, exiting the game with a lower-body injury. He registered one shot on goal, one block and one hit before leaving. The Ducks were already missing their second-highest scorer Troy Terry (personal) on Monday and could now also be without their most prolific player if Zegras can't recover in time for Thursday's matchup against Seattle. The 22-year-old has posted 22 goals and 59 points in 74 appearances this season.

Trevor Zegras Stays Hot With His 22nd Goal

Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras scored the team's first goal in Friday's big 7-4 victory over Columbus. The 21-year-old has also had 36 assists in 69 outings this season, and he's finishing off the campaign very strongly. Zegras has been kept off the score sheet only once in his eight March appearances and he's averaging a point per game for the month. It's been another miserable season for the Ducks, but Zegras is one of the most exciting prospects in the league and there's definitely a lot to look forward to for the team and its fans.

Trevor Zegras Extends Hot Streak With Three Points

Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras stretched his point streak to five games on Saturday, finishing a 6-3 loss to Buffalo with two goals and an assist. The 21-year-old notched all of his points in the third period. It was a great offensive performance, but Zegras definitely can't be happy about finishing the game with an even rating despite getting three points. He's minus-23 for the whole campaign in 47 games, hurting fantasy managers badly in the category. However, Zegras has tried to make up for it with 17 goals and 23 assists. His current scoring streak includes three multi-point efforts, and Zegras has tallied seven goals and six assists in 10 appearances during a hot month.

Trevor Zegras Appears Good To Go Wednesday

Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras (illness) was on the ice at Wednesday's morning skate and looks ready to play against the Oilers. His status was up in the air after he missed Tuesday's practice with an illness. The 21-year-old has just heated up with a four-game point streak and boasts 31 points overall in 41 games this season. Zegras' points tally has been badly affected by an awful run he had last month, going scoreless in 10 of 14 appearances. Hopefully, he can avoid a similar drop in form for the rest of the way and can have a strong finish to the campaign.

Trevor Zegras Scores Game-Winning Goal In Overtime

Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras scored two goals to lead the team to a 4-3 comeback victory in Sunday's contest against the Maple Leafs. Zegras cut the deficit to one with his backhand goal on the breakaway in the third period, while his overtime winner was a solo effort in transition to give the Ducks their second win of the season. Zegras now has six goals through nine games, and the 21-year-old is a must-start player across all fantasy formats as he begins year three in the NHL.
