Dylan Cozens Out Thursday

Buffalo Sabres center Dylan Cozens (upper body) won't play Thursday against the Chicago Blackhawks. Cozens is day-to-day with an injury suffered Monday and isn't ready to get back in the lineup. The 22-year-old had a breakout 2022-23 campaign but hasn't been able to live up to the lofty expectations set this season. He has just 22 points (seven goals, 15 assists) in 42 games and has seen a decline in ice time and powerplay time as the season has progressed. The Sabres need to get him going eventually, so expect him to be put into good situations moving forward. Still, one can't be blamed for dropping him in deeper leagues considering his lack of production so far.

Dylan Cozens Set To Return Friday

Buffalo Sabres center Dylan Cozens (upper body) will return to the lineup on Friday against the Minnesota Wild. Cozens missed the last two games after suffering an injury in a fight with Philadelphia Flyer Garnett Hathaway. The 22-year-old will return to a top six role with first powerplay duties, making him a must-start player. He will be looking to top his breakout 2022-23 campaign where he notched 68 points (31 goals, 37 assists) in 81 games, and he already has seven points in 11 games this season, so he is on his way.

Dylan Cozens Reaches The 60-Point Mark

Buffalo Sabres center Dylan Cozens became the team's sixth player to hit the 60-point mark Friday, finishing a 5-4 win over New Jersey with a goal and an assist. He opened the scoring with his 28th marker of the campaign and logged his 32nd assist. The Sabres are now very close to having four 30-goal scorers in a season for the first time since 2006-07. Cozens had tallied only 17 career goals and 51 points in 120 prior to the 2022-23 season, so it's been a huge breakthrough campaign for him on the Sabres second line.

Dylan Cozens Hits His First Hat Trick Sunday

Buffalo Sabres center Dylan Cozens was the main man in Sunday's 7-4 victory over the Capitals, scoring his first career hat trick and adding an assist for his first-ever four-point game. He also led all skaters with eight shot attempts on goal and had four penalty minutes, while finishing with a plus-three rating. The 22-year-old ended a three-game scoreless spell with the big effort. Having reached 23 goals and 29 assists for the season, Cozens became Buffalo's fifth player to hit 50 points. Cozens is also part of a five-man group with at least 20 goals for the free-scoring Sabres. It's been a breakthrough campaign for him, and Cozens will continue it with a matchup against the Blue Jackets and their leaky defense on Tuesday.

Dylan Cozens Returns To Action Wednesday

Buffalo Sabres center Dylan Cozens (undisclosed) will be back from a one-game absence Wednesday against the Hurricanes. He suffered an undisclosed injury last Thursday against Winnipeg and sat out a clash with Minnesota over the weekend. The 21-year-old has enjoyed a big breakout year with 17 goals and 43 points in 48 games. He had started the campaign with 17 goals and 51 points through 120 career outings. Cozens centers the second line for Buffalo and also skated with the second power-play unit.

Dylan Cozens A Game-Time Call Saturday

Buffalo Sabres center Dylan Cozens (undisclosed) is considered a game-time decision for Saturday's matchup against Minnesota. He left Thursday's win over Winnipeg in the third period with an undisclosed ailment. The 21-year-old has been having a massive year and has already set his new scoring record for a season with 43 points in 48 outings. Rasmus Asplund replaced Cozens on the second line during Saturday's morning skate and will make his first appearance in two weeks if Cozens isn't game-ready. Sabres head coach Dan Granato said Thursday that Cozens would have returned if there had been more time left in the game, so apparently, it's not a serious issue and looks like he has a decent chance of playing on Saturday. Defenseman Mattias Samuelsson (lower body), who missed Thursday's matchup, is also a game-time call.

Dylan Cozens Nets Two Goals Against Detroit

Buffalo Sabres center Dylan Cozens registered his first multi-goal outing of the season on Wednesday, striking twice to help the team to a 5-4 shootout victory over Detroit. He tied the game at one with a short-handed tally 4:53 into the game and helped the team grab a 4-1 lead in the second period before the Red Wings suddenly came to life. Cozens has now scored in three of his past four appearances, and he has been hot for a while, averaging a point per game across his last 10 outings. The young forward has pushed his numbers for the season to eight goals and 10 assists. Cozens is one of the top scorers on a very prolific team and should be monitored across all fantasy formats.

Dylan Cozens Scores Power Play Tally in Defeat

Dylan Cozens had another rather solid night for the Buffalo Sabres against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday. The center scored on the power play during his one shift on the man advantage. He generated a couple of scoring chances as well. The key for Cozens was keeping things simple under the most challenging of circumstances. Even when New Jersey had Buffalo under siege for long stretches, Cozens was able to gain back possession often. His line showed Buffalo Something even despite the worst, they were able to hold their ground.

Dylan Cozens Hands Out Two Dimes

Buffalo Sabres forward Dylan Cozens delivered two assists in Tuesday's 5-2 victory over Vancouver, helping Zemgus Girgensons and Jeff Skinner on the scoreboard. The latter registered the game-winning goal after the Sabres had erased a deficit twice. Cozens is skating with Skinner and Vinnie Hinostroza on the top line, with the Jack Eichel era over and Casey Mittelstadt (upper body) sidelined. The 20-year-old, who posted 13 points in 41 outings during his rookie campaign in 2020-21, also sees time on the second power-play unit. The Sabres are off to a perfect start and will look for a fourth consecutive victory on Friday against Boston.

Dylan Cozens Scores First NHL Goal

Buffalo Sabres forward Dylan Cozens celebrated his first career goal in Friday's losing effort against Washington, bagging an unassisted marker in the middle of the second frame. Eric Staal and Riley Sheahan also scored for the Sabres in a 4-3 shootout loss, while the team's top line was held pointless. Cozens is the seventh pick of the 2019 draft, who could move up the lineup quickly if the team's top-six doesn't start producing regularly. He is currently on the third line and the second power-play unit, where he logged 1:20 in Friday's loss.
