Dylan Guenther News
Arizona Coyotes left wing Dylan Guenther produced a special performance in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win against Vancouver with four points on his 21st birthday. The talented winger registered a goal and three assists. There had previously been only two players in NHL history to pick up as many as four points on their birthday aged 21 or younger. Guenther has been on a heater lately, scoring three goals and picking up four assists in five April appearances. He's notched 15 goals and 16 assists in 42 appearances across the season.
Arizona Coyotes left wing Dylan Guenther had the best game of his young career on Sunday, finishing a 5-2 demolition of Washington with three points. He had a goal and assist in the contest, scoring two of his points with the man advantage. Following a quiet stretch, Guenther has started to make noise again, posting multiple points in back-to-back outings. The 20-year-old has logged 17 points (eight goals, nine assists) in 24 games across the entire season. With the Coyotes having fallen out of the playoff race, younger players on the team should get more opportunities over the final few weeks of the campaign, and Guenther will be at the head of the pack.
Arizona Coyotes right wing Dylan Guenther has been assigned to the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds and won't play in the NHL this season anymore. The 19-year-old, who was the ninth pick of the 2021 draft, skated in 33 games for the Coyotes, scoring six times and registering 15 points. He started the season with the club but missed most of December and the start of January due to his commitments to Team Canada at the World Juniors Championships, where Guenther was one of the top goal-scorers. Guenther is an exciting prospect who should have a bright future in the NHL, but he still needs time to develop and the Coyotes believe that sending him back to the WHL is the best step for him at present.
Arizona Coyotes right wing Dylan Guenther will be back in the lineup Sunday against Pittsburgh. He hasn't played since Dec. 7 because Guenther was busy winning the World Junior Championships with Canada. The Edmonton-born winger showed off great form at the tournament, scoring seven goals, including the Golden Goal in the final against Czechia. He has managed three goals and 11 points in 21 games during his debut campaign in the NHL. Guenther has averaged only 12:20 of ice time, with over 2:00 of it coming on the power play, so the team is taking it very slowly with him and the 19-year-old doesn't have a lot of fantasy at present, but he looks set for a great future in the league.
