Ivan Demidov Fantasy Stats

Montreal Canadiens right wing Ivan Demidov (lower body) will miss 2-4 weeks, the team announced before Tuesday's clash against Carolina. Just a couple of nights ago, Demidov picked up his first points of the season, but he now won't be able to contribute to his team's success for at least seven games. With Demidov out, Kirby Dach is expected to join the top six on Tuesday night. Dach has recorded one assist in two games this season. Montreal's frontline will also remain without Oliver Kapanen (lower body).

Montreal Canadiens right wing Ivan Demidov (foot) is expected to resume skating on Friday. On Thursday, he missed a second straight practice after being hurt in Monday's preseason game against the Ottawa Senators. Demidov took a shot off his foot. The good news for fantasy managers is that Demidov is expected to rejoin his teammates on Friday, and his status for opening night isn't in doubt. During his rookie campaign in 2025-26, Demidov led all first-year players in scoring with 62 points (19 goals, 43 assists) in 82 games. After proving himself as an elite playmaker, he is looking to improve as a finisher and is expected to take another step this season.

Montreal Canadiens right wing Ivan Demidov appears ready to take another "step," Sportsnet's Eric Engels reports. The 20-year-old kicked off the preseason with a power-play goal in a 4-3 overtime win over the Toronto Maple Leafs, earning praise from Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis. St. Louis highlighted Demidov's ability to create space for himself and noted that he has "another step" to his game. Last season, Demidov made the All-Rookie Team, recording 62 points (19 goals, 43 assists) in 82 games. He could become a point-per-game player quickly if he continues his rapid development.

Montreal Canadiens right wing Ivan Demidov has inked an eight-year, $73 million contract extension. The new contract will kick in next offseason when Demidov's entry-level contract has finished. Demidov had an excellent rookie campaign in 2025-26, leading all first-year players with 62 points (19 goals, 43 assists) in 82 games. He added nine points (three goals, six assists) in 19 postseason appearances. While Demidov slowed down late in the season, he's an exciting talent and is bound to become a fantasy stalwart for years to come.

Montreal Canadiens right wing Ivan Demidov finished Monday's 3-2 overtime loss in Game 3 against the Carolina Hurricanes with an assist. He helped Mike Matheson score Montreal's first goal of the game. Demidov registered his second point of the series after being among the goal-scorers in Montreal's big 6-2 Game 1 victory. Throughout the playoffs, Demidov has primarily made an impact on the power play, but each of his last two points has come at even strength. He has nine points (three goals, six assists) in 17 games. One more point would tie the young Russian for the fifth-most playoff points by a rookie in franchise history. Demidov will have at least two games to reach that mark, starting with Game 4 on Wednesday.

Montreal Canadiens right winger Ivan Demidov scored and assisted one time each in a 4-1 victory over the Nashville Predators on Saturday. The rookie had his second multi-point game in his last three games and now has 16 goals and 40 assists in 72 games played this season. Demidov is having a great year and is battling for the Calder trophy with Matthew Schaefer and Beckett Sennecke.

Montreal Canadiens right wing Ivan Demidov played a key role in Wednesday's 3-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators, finishing with two points. The Russian talent became the second rookie this season with 50 points, assisting Juraj Slafkovsky in the first period and netting the game-winning goal with 7:20 played in the third. Demidov is neck and neck with Anaheim's Beckett Sennecke in the race to finish first in scoring among rookies. Both players have 51 points. Demidov has reached the mark with 14 goals and 37 assists in 64 games. He has been a bit quiet in recent months, notching points in back-to-back games only two times in 2026.

Montreal Canadiens right wing Ivan Demidov (wrist) appears to have avoided serious injury. Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports that there isn't "any long-term injury concern" for Demidov, who was slashed on the wrist in Tuesday's preseason matchup against the Ottawa Senators. Demidov left the game early, but Friedman's words indicate that fantasy managers shouldn't be overly concerned about his availability for the start of the season. The 19-year-old Russian is expected to be one of the top rookies for the 2025-26 NHL season. He will be part of Montreal's top-six group and should gobble up a lot of power-play time.

Montreal Canadiens right wing Ivan Demidov has impressed with his efforts during the team's rookie camp. "He's a special player and an even better person off the ice," said Montreal's goalie prospect Jacob Fowler about Demidov. "His talent is some of the highest I've ever seen. It's cool to see how good he's done so far, and that's only going to get better." Demidov made his NHL debut late last season, skating in two regular-season contests and five playoff games. He registered one goal and three assists. The 19-year-old Russian is considered one of the brightest prospects in hockey and appears nailed on for a top-six role this season with the Canadiens.

Montreal Canadiens right wing Ivan Demidov recorded two power-play assists in Sunday's 5-2 defeat to the Washington Capitals. Juraj Slafkovsky and Cole Caufield benefited from Demidov's playmaking talents, while Lane Hutson also logged assists on both plays. The 19-year-old Russian became the first teenager in franchise history to register multiple points in a playoff contest, getting on the score sheet for the first time in the postseason. Montreal now faces elimination in the next game, where Demidov may play a significant role again. He has stepped in for Patrik Laine (upper body) on the top power-play unit, and it's unclear whether Laine will be available after sitting out two contests.

Montreal Canadiens right wing Ivan Demidov will make his NHL debut in Monday's matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 19-year-old is coming off an outstanding KHL campaign, during which he broke Kirill Kaprizov's U-20 scoring record with 49 points (19 goals, 30 assists) in 65 appearances. He looks to have a bright future but seems ready to contribute immediately for a Montreal team with a mediocre scoring record this season. In his debut, Demidov is set to skate on a line with Joel Armia and Alex Newhook and should get opportunities on the power play.
