Kaiden Guhle Placed On Injured Reserve

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle (upper body) has been placed on Injured Reserve ahead of Sunday's battle against Philadelphia. He will miss a fourth consecutive game on Sunday. Guhle opened the campaign in impressive form, recording four points (one goal, three assists) in five games with 20 blocks and seven hits. Despite missing a week of action, Guhle remains among Montreal's leading shot-blockers. With Justin Barron (upper body) joining Guhle on the shelf, Logan Mailloux and Arber Xhekaj have entered the lineup. Xhekaj is a good source for hits, but their overall fantasy value is very limited.

Kaiden Guhle Ruled Out For Saturday

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle (upper body) will miss Saturday's game against the Islanders. Guhle has been left nursing an upper-body injury following Thursday's matchup against Los Angeles and didn't travel with the team to New York. He is considered day-to-day. The 22-year-old has played well to start the year, producing four points (one goal, three assists) and a team-high 20 blocks in five games. Mike Matheson (upper body) was also hurt on Thursday, so the Canadiens' top four at the back could have a very different look at the weekend. Logan Mailloux and Jayden Struble are the options to fill for the injured players, while Lane Hutson, Justin Barron, and David Savard must be ready for extra work.

Kaiden Guhle Ready For Opening Night

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle (abdomen) practiced on Tuesday and is on track to play in Wednesday's season opener against Toronto. The young blue-liner had his appendix removed on Sept. 18. Guhle returned to the Canadiens lineup at the weekend in the team's preseason finale against Ottawa. He should see a lot of action this season on the top defensive pairing next to Michael Matheson. Last season, Guhle averaged 20:51 of ice time and had 22 points (six goals, 16 assists) with 178 blocks and 116 hits in 70 appearances.

Kaiden Guhle Out At Least One Week After Appendix Removal

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle underwent appendix surgery Wednesday and will be re-evaluated in seven days. Guhle is looking at an opportunity to take up a big role on the Canadiens blue line in 2024-25, but his preparations for the new campaign have suffered a slight blow. Once he's healthy again, Guhle is expected to partner Mike Matheson on the first defensive pairing. He enjoyed a career year last season with 22 points (six goals, 16 assists) in 70 games and should improve further with extra usage.

Kaiden Guhle Signs Six-Year Extension With Canadiens

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle signed a six-year extension on Wednesday. The deal, which is worth $33.3 million, will kick in from the 2025-26 NHL campaign. Guhle became the third blue-liner to ink a new contract with the Canadiens this week, joining Justin Barron and Arber Xhekaj. Guhle is the most productive of the three, having amassed 22 points (six goals, 16 assists) in 70 games last season with 178 blocks and 116 hits. The 22-year-old, who was a first-round pick in 2020, has tallied 40 points (10 goals, 30 assists) in 114 career contests. Guhle plays an important role for Montreal as Mike Matheson's partner on the first defensive pairing, but his fantasy value is limited due to his lack of power-play time.

Kaiden Guhle Suffers An Upper-Body Injury

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle suffered an upper-body injury in Thursday's battle with the Lightning. The talented rearguard played only 1:14 in the contest, exiting after absorbing a big hit along the boards early in the game. Guhle entered Thursday's action with a four-game point streak. He's totaled 22 points (six goals, 16 assists) across 70 games overall in 2023-24, adding 116 hits and 178 blocks to his account. Johnathan Kovacevic will likely replace Guhle in the lineup on Saturday against Toronto if he can't play.

Kaiden Guhle Suspended For Saturday

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle will miss Saturday's game against Carolina with a suspension. He has been suspended for one game without pay for slashing Philadelphia's Travis Konecny on Thursday in a 4-1 win. Guhle will be forced to sit out Saturday's action in the midst of a hot streak. The 22-year-old has tallied two goals and four assists in his past five appearances. Guhle has bagged 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 68 games for the season with a team-high 177 blocks and 113 hits. The suspension will likely give Johnathan Kovacevic a chance to rejoin the lineup.

Kaiden Guhle Returns For Canadiens

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle (upper body) will be back in action Saturday against the Jets. He's been unavailable for four games after suffering an upper-body injury in a contest versus Minnesota on Oct. 17. Before landing on the shelf, Guhle had a few impressive performances to kick off the campaign, posting one assist and seven shots on goal in three games with eight blocks, five hits, and a plus-four rating. Kaiden Guhle Sustains An Upper-Body Injury

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle left Tuesday's 5-2 loss to Minnesota early after sustaining an upper-body injury. The young blue-liner was knocked out of the game after he had logged 10:19 of ice time. Guhle had two blocks and two penalty minutes in the contest. Entering Tuesday's action, Guhle had amassed some impressive numbers through the first couple of outings of the season, boasting a plus-four rating with one assist, seven shots on goal, six blocks, and five hits. The severity of his injury is currently unknown. Justin Barron should hop into the lineup if Guhle misses any time.

Kaiden Guhle Misses Sunday's Game

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle (upper body) won't be available for Sunday's contest against Vegas and is considered day-to-day. The young blue-liner has just returned from a knee injury that cost him 23 games, but he sadly has to take some time off again due to another injury. Guhle has spent his rookie campaign on a bad team and it hasn't been a pleasant experience for him, but the 21-year-old has done pretty well in the circumstances, notching 15 points in 39 games with 42 shots, 75 hits and 71 blocks. The Canadiens blue line will also remain without Justin Barron (upper body), who is regarded as day-to-day as well.

Kaiden Guhle Will Be Out On Saturday

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle (lower body) will miss his first game of the season Saturday against Washington. He suffered a lower-body injury in Thursday's matchup against Florida and will need some time to recover. Guhle has been having a good debut campaign with 14 points, 36 shots, 72 hits and 65 blocks in 36 appearances. Chris Wideman is set to replace Guhle in the lineup, having practiced on the second defensive pairing on Friday. Wideman was a healthy scratch on Thursday and it's not been a good campaign at all for him, as he has tallied only four points in 21 outings.

Kaiden Guhle Injured In Thursday's Game

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle suffered an apparent leg injury in Thursday's matchup versus Florida, leaving the game in the third period. He got tangled up with Florida's Aleksander Barkov behind the net and it looked like a serious injury. Guhle led all skaters with six hits on Thursday and also had a game-high five blocks. He's been a valuable asset for Montreal at both ends of the ice, producing 14 points in his first 36 career appearances with 72 hits and 65 blocks. The team didn't have any updates on Guhle after the game, but we should get more info prior to Saturday's tilt against Washington.
