Phillip Danault News
Los Angeles Kings center Phillip Danault broke an offensive slump with a huge performance in Sunday's 5-1 win over New Jersey, scoring his second career hat trick. The 31-year-old matched the points tally of his previous 11 appearances on Sunday. Danault, whose first career hat trick came five years ago, isn't a consistent performer on the attacking front, but he plays an effective game and has put together a solid season with the Kings. In 60 games, he's had 36 points (14 goals, 22 assists) with 128 shots and 61 hits.
Los Angeles Kings center Phillip Danault showed a great eye for a pass in Monday's 5-2 victory over Buffalo, finishing the contest with three assists. Two of his helpers came on the power play. Danault had as many points against the Sabres as he had managed in his previous nine outings combined. His game has been a bit off lately, but the 29-year-old has been having a productive time overall on the Kings' second line, bagging 14 goals and 39 points in 55 games.
Los Angeles Kings center Phillip Danault scored in a fifth consecutive game on Thursday, opening the scoring on the power play in a 4-1 victory against Chicago. This is the longest goal streak by a Kings player since Marian Gaborik scored in five straight games in 2014-15. Danault is also currently on a seven-game point streak and has been kept off the scoresheet just once in his last 11 appearances. The 29-year-old has had a very strong year in L.A. and boasts 26 goals and 50 points in 77 games with 73 hits and a plus-14 rating.
Los Angeles Kings center Phillip Danault scored a goal and added two assists on Saturday versus the Philadelphia Flyers. Danault centered the top line of the night from a fantasy perspective. He scored midway through the third period after a nice setup from Trevor Moore. Philadelphia could not contain this line all night as even Danault had four or five prime scoring chances. He set up both first period goals by Los Angeles (Arvidsson and Moore). Danault upped his point total to 17 in 31 contests and remains a secondary fantasy threat in deeper leagues.
