Huston tallied an assist on the club's fourth goal of the game, 12:26 into the third period. While the Wings tied it late and eventually won the contest in a shootout, they were eliminated from the postseason due to a Washington Capitals win over the Philadelphia Flyers. The 20-year-old blue-liner recently signed an entry-level deal with the Habs after dominating to the tune of 15 goals and 49 points across 38 games with Boston University this season. He collected 30 goals and 97 points with the Terriers across two seasons before turning pro.

The Boston University product inked his three-year, entry-level deal after his season at Boston University concluded by way of a 2-1 overtime loss to future NCAA champions Denver University on Thursday. "I'm just really excited," Huston said on Monday. " The guys here have been great and yeah, just ready to get going." The 2022 second-rounder notched 15 goals and 49 points across 38 games as a Sophomore this season, finishing second in the country for points by a defenseman. He registered 30 goals and 97 points across 77 games in his two years with the Terriers.
