J.T. Miller Joins Team for Road Trip

New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller (upper body) is traveling with the team for a brief two-game road trip, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports. The Rangers captain has missed a pair of games due to an upper-body injury. However, the fact that Miller is with the team for the road team suggests he may be ready to return in the next couple of games. Mike Sullivan's team faces Carolina on Wednesday night before taking on Boston on Friday. Miller has had a disappointing campaign with the Rangers, scoring six goals and 12 points in 22 games while going minus-seven. During Miller's absence, Jonny Brodzinski has had increased fantasy value as a top-six member, collecting an assist in Monday's 3-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues.

J.T. Miller Unavailable Monday

New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller (upper body) will miss a second consecutive game on Monday against the St. Louis Blues, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports. The Rangers captain exited the lineup over the weekend due to an upper-body injury. Over his last two appearances, Miller has produced two goals and one assist. However, he has been a disappointment for fantasy managers this season, totaling only 12 points (six goals, six assists) in 22 games. On Monday, the Rangers could also be without Vincent Trocheck (undisclosed), who is a game-time call. Alexis Lafreniere and Jonny Brodzinski have moved up in the lineup due to the Rangers' injury situation.

J.T. Miller Won't Play Against Mammoth

New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller (upper body) won't be in the lineup for Saturday's matchup against the Utah Mammoth. The Rangers captain has sustained an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day. Miller scored two goals in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, but he hasn't been at his best all season. With 22 games played, Miller has recorded only 12 points (six goals, six assists). He has finished 13 of his appearances without scoring any points. Juuso Parssinen will take Miller's spot in the lineup on Saturday, while Alexis Lafreniere will have a top-line role. At the same time, Jonny Brodzinski will skate on the second line, increasing his fantasy value.

J.T. Miller Available Tuesday

New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller (lower body) is good to go for the start of the season, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports. Miller was hurt at practice last week but is expected to be in the opening night lineup against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday. The Rangers captain practiced fully on Monday and looks set to begin the year on a line with Mika Zibanejad and Will Cuylle. Miller had an impressive 35 points (13 goals, 22 assists) in 32 games with the Rangers last season after he was re-acquired from the Vancouver Canucks. His presence elevated Zibanejad's game, and Cuylle could also benefit from skating with him.

J.T. Miller Returns to Practice

New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller (upper body) returned to practice on Friday. The Rangers captain skated in a non-contact jersey. Miller appeared to hurt his left leg during Monday's practice. His return to the ice on Friday is a positive sign that Miller is heading in the right direction and can get healthy in time for opening night on Oct. 7 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Miller is expected to kick off the campaign as the second-line center, skating between Mika Zibanejad and Will Cuylle. Miller and Zibanejad formed a prolific partnership during the final stretch of last season and will aim to build on it in 2025-26.

J.T. Miller Considered Day-to-Day

New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller (lower body) is considered day-to-day, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports. Miller appeared to injure his left leg during Monday's practice, but it seems he isn't dealing with a serious issue. However, if the new Rangers captain is unable to recover in time for the season opener, the team will have to adjust its top-six group, likely bringing Mika Zibanejad back to the center position. Mike Sullivan's team opens the 2025-26 regular season with a home game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Oct. 7.

J.T. Miller Suffers Apparent Lower-Body Injury at Practice

New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller (lower body) was injured during Monday's practice. He appeared to sustain a lower-body injury while lunging forward for a puck during a power-play drill. Miller grabbed the back of his left leg before getting up and skating off the ice slowly. This doesn't look good for Miller, but with over a week until the regular season begins, he might be able to recover if the injury isn't serious. Miller was named the Rangers' new captain earlier this month, and his productive performance last season should excite fantasy managers. After returning to New York in January, Miller posted 35 points (13 goals, 22 assists) in 32 games.

J.T. Miller Posts Third Straight Two-Point Game

New York Rangers center J.T. Miller tallied two points for the third consecutive game on Monday evening during their 5-3 victory over the Florida Panthers. Miller would find the back of the net in the second frame during 5-on-5 play. Later in the third, Miller would tally the primary assist on Vincent Trocheck's game-winning shorthanded goal. Over his last 11 contests, Miller has been quite effective on the scoresheet, scoring six goals and adding 10 helpers. Before this surge, he tallied just three points (all helpers) over his last seven games. The Rangers acquired Miller on January 31 from the Vancouver Canucks. He has consistently seen top-six minutes in the New York offense and has enjoyed a strong conclusion to the season. He remains a solid option in DFS in their final game against Tampa Bay on Thursday evening.

J.T. Miller A Game-Time Call Friday

New York Rangers forward J.T. Miller (illness) is a game-time decision for Friday's matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Miller didn't practice on Thursday due to an illness and may have to skip his first game since rejoining the Rangers on Jan. 31. The Rangers offense has received a nice boost with the addition of Miller, who has tallied five goals and nine points in eight appearances with the team. Since the season resumed after the 4 Nations Face-Off break, Miller has accumulated five points (three goals, two assists) in three games. Arthur Kaliyev or Brennan Othmann may enter the lineup if Miller is unavailable on Friday.

J.T. Miller Not Practicing On Thursday

New York Rangers center J.T. Miller (illness) did not participate in Thursday's practice session due to illness. Fantasy managers should continue to keep an eye on his status leading up to their next contest on Friday evening against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 31-year-old has enjoyed a recent offensive surge, riding a three-game point streak. During this stretch, Miller has found the back of the net three times and added two helpers. Since being acquired by the Rangers earlier in February, Miller has tallied nine points through eight contests. He has tallied an impressive 29 hits and logged 14 shots on goal. If Miller were to sit out during Friday's contest, Mika Zibanejad will likely take his spot on the second line and play alongside Will Cuylle and Chris Krieder. Jonny Brodzinski could also have an increased role in Friday's contest as well.

Rangers Acquire J.T. Miller From Vancouver

According to Frank Seravalli of DailyFaceoff.com, the New York Rangers have acquired center J.T. Miller from the Vancouver Canucks. The Rangers sent Filip Chytil and Victor Mancini a conditional first-round selection in the 2025 NHL Draft. In addition, the Rangers acquired Jackson Dorrington and Erik Brannstrom. Miller began his career in New York after being selected with the 15th-overall pick in the 2011 NHL Draft. Through his first five seasons with the Blueshirts (278 games), Millers tallied 132 points (59 goals, 73 helpers). He began his sixth season with the Rangers but was eventually traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning that season. After tallying a career-high 103 points in 2023, Miller has taken a step back this season, scoring just nine goals with 26 assists. Fantasy managers should expect Miller to have a key role in the New York offense. He is expected to suit up on Saturday afternoon to face the Boston Bruins.

J.T. Miller Returns To Action Thursday

Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller (personal) will return to the lineup on Thursday against Florida. He has missed 10 games while dealing with a personal issue. Miller has averaged slightly below a point per game this season, recording six goals and 10 assists in 17 appearances. We should see him in a top-six role and on the first power-play unit. Miller's return will likely impact Pius Suter's usage. Before exiting the lineup, Miller had a productive run of five points in four games, but he might be a bit rusty initially after missing several weeks of action.

J.T. Miller Takes Indefinite Leave For Personal Reasons

Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller is taking an indefinite leave for personal reasons, the team announced Tuesday. Miller exits the lineup as Vancouver's second-best scorer. He has totaled 16 points (six goals, 10 assists) in 17 outings. Elias Pettersson is set to step into the top-line center role on Tuesday versus the Rangers, while the team has recalled winger Arshdeep Bains from the AHL. Bains is averaging a point per game in the minors but has been limited to one goal in eight NHL appearances. Miller's absence also looks to benefit Dakota Joshua, who only recently made his season debut.

J.T. Miller Available On Tuesday

Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller (undisclosed) will be in the lineup against Chicago on Tuesday. According to Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet, Miller is "dealing with some stuff," and he was a game-time decision for Tuesday's contest, but the prolific American is set to remain in the lineup. Miller hasn't yet made much noise this season, logging two goals and one assist in five contests. However, he has been a point-per-game player for three consecutive campaigns, and it should only be a matter of time before Miller regains his scoring form. A matchup against a weak Blackhawks squad seems to be a good spot for picking up some momentum.

J.T. Miller Scores Dramatic Game-Winner

Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller scored a huge game-winning goal in Thursday's 3-2 victory against Edmonton, finding the back of the net with only 33 seconds left in regulation. Vancouver fell behind twice on home ice in the game, but Miller's late heroics gave the team a 3-2 series lead. It was only fitting that it came from him, as 2023-24 has been a massive year for Miller. After posting his first 100-point campaign during the regular season with 37 goals and 66 assists, Miller is tied with Brock Boeser for most playoff points on the Canucks roster. The first-year All-Star has managed 12 points (three goals, nine assists) in 11 playoff postseason appearances.

J.T. Miller Reaches 100 Points With Three-Assist Effort

Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller became the seventh player in franchise history to post a 100-point campaign when he finished Monday's 4-3 win over Vegas with three assists. A couple of Jack Eichel goals put the Canucks in an early two-goal hole, but Miller's elite playmaking helped Vancouver to grab the victory in the end. Two of his assists came with the man advantage. Miller, who has registered 35 goals and 65 assists in 78 outings, likely won't settle for 100 points for the season as he enters the final four contests with an eight-game scoring streak.

J.T. Miller Posts Four-Point Performance In High-Scoring Loss

Vancouver Canucks center J.T. Miller finished with his first hat trick of the season and totaled a team-high of four points in Monday's 10-7 loss against the Wild. Miller's four-point performance matched his season high, as the veteran forward began the season with four points in a victory against the Oilers on Oct. 11. Miller's quality performance brings his season totals to 27 goals and 74 points through 57 games to lead the Canucks in scoring over Elias Pettersson's total of 73 points.

J.T. Miller Grabs Three Points In Loss Versus New Jersey

Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller led the squad with three points in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to New Jersey. He had a power-play goal in the first period and picked up a pair of assists in the third. This marks Miller's sixth effort with at least three points this season. It's been a fantastic campaign for the 30-year-old, who's been one of the most prolific players in the league. Miller's 39 points currently put him behind only Tampa Bay's Nikita Kucherov (42) on the league's scoring charts. He's totaled 14 goals and 25 assists in 26 outings, recording multiple points 12 times.

J.T. Miller Keeps Scoring Streak Going With Three Points

Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller continued to produce the goods Wednesday versus the Islanders, factoring in three goals in a 4-3 overtime win. He tallied a power-play goal and two assists as the Canucks battled back from a two-goal deficit twice. Miller has scored in four games during an active five-game point streak, and it includes nine points in total. Following Wednesday's action, Miller has joined teammates Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson at the top of the NHL scoring charts, having notched 26 points (10 goals, 16 assists) across 16 appearances. Miller's efforts this season include nine multi-point games -- only Florida's Sam Reinhart (10) has managed more such outings in 2023-24.

J.T. Miller Delivers Two Goals On Wednesday

Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller produced two goals as the team snuck past Anaheim in overtime 3-2 Wednesday night. He put the Canucks on the board with a short-handed tally in the first period and provided the game-winner with just 20 seconds played in the extra frame. Not a bad way to celebrate your 700th career game. Miller has been enjoying very good form over the latter half of the season, collecting 28 points in his past 25 games. He's up to 23 goals and 35 assists for the whole campaign with 63 games played.
