Linus Ullmark Records Shutout In Elimination Game

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark delivered his best performance of the 2025 playoffs in Tuesday's Game 5 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, backstopping his team to a 4-0 victory with a 29-save shutout. He joined Craig Anderson as the second netminder in Senators history to register a shutout in an elimination game. Ullmark produced his first career postseason shutout after coughing up at least three goals in each of the first four games in the series. The Senators need to see the best version of him again to extend the series Thursday night in Game 6. Ullmark will head into the action with a 2.80 goals-against average and a .883 save percentage.

Linus Ullmark Attempts To Overcome Playoff Struggles Thursday

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark allowed nine goals in two games against the Toronto Maple Leafs to open the 2025 postseason and will attempt to perform better as the series shifts to the Canadian Tire Centre on Thursday. He will enter the contest with a lowly .800 save percentage for this year's playoffs. Postseason struggles are not new for Ullmark, as he has allowed four or more goals in six of his 11 starts during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Overall, he has a 3-8-0 record in the playoffs, with a goals-against average of 3.73 and a save percentage of .875. Ullmark must significantly improve for the Senators to make this series competitive.

Linus Ullmark Stops 31 Shots In Victory

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark stopped 31 of the 32 shots he faced en route to defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday evening. The Lightning dominated the shot total, but Ullmark was able to lead the way. His lone mistake came in the second frame when Brandon Hagel beat him on a wrist shot to score his 34th goal of the campaign. This was a strong bounce-back outing for Ullmark as he allowed four goals on 21 shots in his previous start on April 1 against the Buffalo Sabres. Since March 1, Ullmark has posted a 10-3-1 record with a 2.93 GAA and a .904 save percentage. He has not posted a shutout over this stretch. Fantasy managers should continue to expect Ullmark to see the majority of starts in the crease of the final two weeks of the regular season.

Linus Ullmark Stops 48 Shots In Victory

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark stopped 48 of the 49 shots he saw en route to defeating the Detroit Red Wings on Monday evening. The Red Wings dominated the shot total but Ullmark was able to lead the way. His lone blemish came in the third period when Dylan Larkin found the back of the net on a wrist shot. Ullmark was incredible in the second frame as he turned away all 27 shots he saw. This outing extended his winning streak to three games. However, during the first two games of this streak, he allowed three goals in each game. Before this streak, the 31-year-old held a 1-4-1 record with a high 4.00 GAA and a .898 save percentage. Anton Forsberg will likely take the starter's crease on Tuesday evening, which sets Ullmark up for a rematch against his former club, the Boston Bruins, on Thursday night.

Linus Ullmark Starting On Wednesday

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark will get the starting nod on Wednesday when the Senators host the Winnipeg Jets. Since returning to action on February 4, Ullmark has held an underwhelming 0-3 record with a hefty 4.88 and .879 save percentage. Before his return, Ullmark was sidelined since December 22 due to a back injury. While Ullmark has yet to find his footing since his return, the 31-year-old was quite productive before the injury. Over his previous 10 starts before suffering the injury, Ullmark posted a stellar 8-0-1 record with a .952 save percentage and a 1.48 GAA. On Wednesday, he will face the Winnipeg Jets who have averaged the third-highest goals per game (3.57). As a result, DFS managers should look to fade Ullmark in this matchup until he returns to form.

Linus Ullmark Set To Return To Action

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark (back) is gearing up to return to the lineup. Leevi Merilainen, who improved to 8-3-1 with Saturday's 6-0 win over the Minnesota Wild, has been reassigned to the AHL by the Senators, indicating that Ullmark is ready to take over the crease on Monday against the Nashville Predators. Ullmark has missed 18 games with a back injury. He has put together a 12-7-2 record during his first year with the Senators, allowing 2.38 goals with a .915 save percentage and three shutouts. Ullmark's return is great news for Ottawa and fantasy managers alike. The team begins a pivotal four-game road trip on Monday.

Linus Ullmark Will Not Suit Up On Thursday

According to TSN Ottawa, Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark (back) will not serve as the backup on Thursday evening when the Senators face the Capitals. The team expressed optimism that Ullmark could return during their current homestand but will need at least another day to recover. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to their next game on Saturday evening when they face the Minnesota Wild. Anton Forsberg is slated to start on Thursday evening, with Leevi Merilainen operating as the No.2 option. Prior to his injury, Ullmark was riding an impressive seven-game winning streak. During this stretch, he carried a .967% SV with a 0.99 GAA. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Ullmark's status, as either Forsberg or Merilainen will likely be optioned to the AHL when Ullmark is cleared to return to action.

Linus Ullmark Nearing Return

According to Bruce Garrioch of TSN, Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark (back) is nearing a return and could return during their next homestand on Thursday or Saturday. The 31-year-old has been sidelined since suffering this injury on December 22. Before the injury, Ullmark began to turn the corner on a slow start as he was riding a perfect seven-game winning streak with a .967% SV and a 0.99 GAA. While sidelined, Leevi Merilainen has taken over the Ottawa crease and performed quite well. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Ullmark's status leading up to their game against the Capitals on Thursday or the Wild on Saturday, as he could make his return. However, given Merilainen's excellent play as of late, fantasy managers should expect both of them to share the crease for the foreseeable future.

Linus Ullmark Out Week-To-Week

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark (back) has been labeled as week-to-week. He hasn't played since Dec. 22 and didn't participate in Sunday's practice. Ullmark put together a seven-game winning streak in December, bringing his record to 12-7-2. He has managed three shutouts with his new club and holds a 2.38 goals-against average with a .915 save percentage. Leevi Merilainen has seen a lot of action during Ullmark's absence, but Anton Forsberg returned to the crease on Friday against St. Louis. He will likely get the bulk of the work going forward as the more experienced netminder.

Linus Ullmark Misses Road Trip

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark (back) will not feature in this weekend's back-to-back against Winnipeg and Minnesota and looks set to miss some additional time as well. Ottawa starts a five-game road trip, and Ullmark will not travel with the team after getting hurt last Sunday versus Edmonton. The Swedish netminder has been in immense form lately, taking his record to 12-7-2 with a seven-game winning streak. He boasts three shutouts and has allowed 2.38 goals with a .915 save percentage during his first year with the Senators. Anton Forsberg (undisclosed) is also nursing an injury, so Leevi Merilainen and Mads Sogaard have joined the big club.

Before exiting, Ullmark stopped six of the seven shots he faced. His lone blemish came on a Viktor Arvidsson snap shot. Coming into this game, Ullmark was carrying an impressive seven-game winning streak. During this stretch, he held a stellar .967% SV with a 0.99 GAA. Ullmark remains a must-start goaltender in all formats when he returns to the crease.

Linus Ullmark Red-Hot Ahead Of Meeting With Oilers

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark is projected to return to the crease for Sunday's matchup against Edmonton. He got the night off on Saturday as Ottawa defeated Vancouver 5-4 in overtime with Leevi Merilainen between the sticks. Ullmark will put a seven-game winning streak to a test on Sunday. He's been immense lately, giving up more than one goal only two times during his current streak. The recent improvement in form has helped Ullmark take his record to 12-7-2. He's had three shutouts while allowing 2.37 goals with a .916 save percentage. Sunday's matchup promises to be very challenging for Ullmark, as the Oilers are on a 10-2-0 run. Last month, Connor McDavid & Co. put five pucks past Ullmark in a 5-2 Oilers win.

Linus Ullmark Remains On Winning Path With A Shutout

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark won a sixth consecutive start with a 30-save shutout on Tuesday against Seattle, backstopping his team to a 3-0 victory. This marks his second shutout in three games, and Ullmark boasts an eight-game point streak. It's the longest run without a regulation defeat by a Senators netminder since Andrew Hammond went 14-0-1 over a 15-game stretch in 2014-15. It took a while for Ullmark to live up to his reputation in Ottawa, but he's been brilliant recently, improving to 11-7-2 for the season. The Swedish netminder has tied a league-high with three shutouts and has a 2.39 goals-against average with a .915 save percentage.

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark registered a fourth consecutive win with a 32-save shutout in Friday's 3-0 victory over Carolina. It was his second shutout of the campaign and his 10th career shutout. Ullmark had some struggles with his new team early in the season, but he's been back to his Vezina-winning form lately, going 5-0-1 across his last six starts. The Swedish netminder has allowed just three total goals across his last four appearances. The recent improvement in Ullmark's play has improved his record to 9-7-2. He has allowed 2.52 goals with a .909 save percentage. We'll likely see Anton Forsberg in the Senators net for Saturday's matchup against Pittsburgh, with Ullmark returning to the crease Tuesday night versus Seattle.

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark will make his 18th start of the season in Friday's matchup against Carolina. The 31-year-old faces a difficult challenge against a team that has the fifth-best record in the Eastern Conference and scores 3.71 goals per game, but Ullmark enters the action in good form. He has won three starts in a row and hasn't suffered a single regulation loss in his last five appearances. Ullmark has taken his record to 8-7-2, allowing 2.70 goals with a .903 save percentage and one shutout. Carolina has suffered only three home defeats this season, but two of them have come in the past four games.

Linus Ullmark Takes On Low-Scoring Ducks

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark will get the nod for Wednesday's matchup against Anaheim. He will face the Ducks for the second time this month. On Dec. 1, Anaheim beat Ullmark and the Senators 4-3 in a shootout on home ice. However, this marks Ullmark's lone loss in his last four starts. He has limited Detroit and Nashville to only one goal in back-to-back starts, improving to 7-7-2. On average, Ullmark has allowed 2.81 goals this season with a .898 save percentage and one shutout. Ottawa's No. 1 had a tough time against the Ducks in the first meeting of the season, but Anaheim averages the third-fewest goals in the league (2.42), making this a good matchup for Ullmark.

Linus Ullmark Stands Tall In Saturday's Victory

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark stopped 37 of the 38 shots he faced en route to defeating the Nashville Predators on Saturday evening. The Predators had the advantage in the shot total, but Ullmark kept the Senators in the game. His lone mistake came late in the final period off a wrist shot by Fedor Svechkov. Ullmark has allowed just one goal or less in his past two starts and is now carrying a two-game win streak. This is a nice bounce-back, as Ullmark allowed at least three goals in each of his previous six outings before this win streak. Overall, the 31-year-old has a 2.81 GAA, .898% SV, and a 7-7-1 record. Fantasy managers should expect Anton Forsberg to get the starting nod against the New York Islanders this evening.

Linus Ullmark Records First Shutout As Senator

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark posted his first shutout of the season on Tuesday with a 27-save effort against Toronto in a 3-0 win. It's his ninth career shutout, which ties Eddie Lack for the seventh-most among Swedish netminders. The shutout came at a great time, as Ullmark probably needed a confidence boost after finishing three consecutive starts with a save percentage below .900. He has had a rollercoaster ride with the Senators so far, going 4-4-0 with a 2.51 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage. However, Ullmark has now picked up two consecutive wins, and Thursday's meeting with the offensively challenged Philadelphia Flyers gives him a good opportunity to continue on the winning path.

Linus Ullmark Back For Senators Friday

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark (muscle strain) will return to the crease on Friday versus Vegas. He has missed four contests after sustaining a muscle strain. This will be Ullmark's third start as a Senator. He beat Florida 3-1 in his debut with 31 saves but was hammered by Montreal 4-1 in his second outing. The Swedish veteran has registered a good .914 save percentage with his new team. Ullmark's numbers could take a beating on Friday, as the Golden Knights have gone a perfect 4-0-0 on home ice, averaging 5.25 goals per game.

Linus Ullmark Remains Out On Thursday

Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark (muscle strain) will remain on the shelf for Thursday's clash with the Devils. The Senators hoped to have their No. 1 back on Thursday after he sat out Monday's matchup against Los Angeles, but Anton Forsberg will get another start, with Mads Sogaard working as his backup. Ullmark's next chance to return comes on Saturday versus Tampa Bay. Forsberg gave up three goals on nine shots on Monday and was pulled in the second period in favor of Sogaard, who didn't look sharp either, but the team somehow squeezed out an 8-7 victory in overtime. It could be another bad day at the office for Forsberg on Thursday, as he faces a very talented offense. The Devils have averaged 3.17 goals per game while going 4-2-0.
