Shane Pinto Sitting Out On Wednesday

Ottawa Senators center Shane Pinto (upper body) will miss his fourth-straight contest on Wednesday evening when the Senators host the Winnipeg Jets. Pinto sustained this injury earlier in the month, on February 4, and seeing that he is continuing to sit out suggests this injury may be serious. Fantasy managers should monitor his status ahead of their next contest on Saturday evening against the San Jose Sharks. Before the injury, Pinto tallied six points (three goals, three helpers) over his last six contests. During this stretch, he averaged 2.3 shots on goal per game and held a strong +5 rating. Through 46 contests, Pinto has scored 11 goals and tallied 11 helpers. With Pinto sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Jan Jenik to slot in as the team's No. 3 center.

Shane Pinto Will Not Play On Thursday

Ottawa Senators center Shane Pinto (upper body) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He was injured in a meeting with the Lightning and will miss at least one game due to an upper-body ailment. Josh Norris (undisclosed) is also out, leaving Ottawa without two of its top three centers. Ridly Greig and Tim Stutzle will center the scoring lines on Thursday, with Zack Ostapchuk working as the third-line centerman. Greig has recently impressed with a five-game point streak, while Stutzle, Ottawa's scoring leader, has notched at least one point in six consecutive games.

Shane Pinto Ends Dry Spell With Two-Goal Effort

Ottawa Senators center Shane Pinto potted two goals in Friday's impressive 3-0 win on the road against Carolina. He logged the game's first goal with 4:04 played in the second period and wrapped up the scoring with an empty-netter inside the final minute of play. Pinto entered the action with only one goal for the campaign, which came in the season opener against Florida on Oct. 10. He had been without a point since Oct. 19. The 24-year-old now has five points (three goals, two assists) in 21 appearances for the season. It's been a massively disappointing campaign for Pinto, who averaged 0.66 points a season ago. He's stuck in a third-line role but sees regular power-play action, so you would expect Pinto to produce offense much more consistently.

Shane Pinto Returns To Senators Lineup

Ottawa Senators center Shane Pinto (undisclosed) will return to action in Tuesday's Battle of Ontario against Toronto. An undisclosed injury has kept Pinto sidelined for eight games. Prior to the injury, Pinto collected three points (one goal, two assists) in six games. On Tuesday, he will work as the third-line center, and there's also a spot on the second power-play unit reserved for Pinto. The 24-year-old is not a consistent scorer, but Pinto has averaged 0.5 points per game for his career, and this season he has gotten on the score sheet in all situations.

Shane Pinto Could Return Saturday

Ottawa Senators center Shane Pinto (undisclosed) has been skating with the team and has a good chance to return on Saturday against the Boston Bruins. Pinto has missed seven games after suffering an injury on October 22. The 23-year-old has three points in six games so far this season and will likely return to his role as third-line center. Unfortunately, it's not a great situation for fantasy purposes, but if one of Tim Stutzle or Josh Norris, who have historically struggled to stay healthy, go down to injury, Pinto would see his stock skyrocket as he would join the top-six and first powerplay unit.

Shane Pinto Labeled As Week-To-Week

Ottawa Senators center Shane Pinto (undisclosed) will be out week-to-week. He skipped his first game of the season Friday night versus Vegas, and it's now clear that the Senators will have to face several more games without him. Pinto has worked as the team's third-line center, posting three points (one goal, two assists) in six games. Ridly Greig shifted to center on the line against the Golden Knights, while Cole Reinhardt entered the lineup. Reinhardt made an instant impact with an assist just minutes into the game, but he played a very limited role and isn't a viable fantasy option.

Shane Pinto Out On Friday

Ottawa Senators center Shane Pinto (undisclosed) will miss Friday's game against the Vegas Golden Knights. He was regarded as a game-time decision for the contest after Pinto missed Thursday's practice. Pinto has been rolling as the third-line center, notching three points (one goal, two assists) in six games. Nick Cousins will fill in for him on the line versus Vegas. Cole Reinhardt will make his season debut on the fourth line. He has been in excellent form in the AHL this campaign, with five points (two goals, three assists) in three games.

Shane Pinto Collects Career-High Four Points

Ottawa Senators center Shane Pinto had a career night against Buffalo on Wednesday, producing four points in a 6-2 win. He had three assists in the opening frame and completed his work with an empty-net goal with 3:17 left to play in regulation. The 23-year-old posted more points on Wednesday than he had managed in his previous nine appearances. However, Pinto has still enjoyed a solid campaign with 25 points (eight goals, 17 assists) in 30 games.

Shane Pinto Notches Three Points In Losing Effort

Ottawa Senators center Shane Pinto produced his second three-point game of the season Monday night, logging a goal and two assists in a 6-3 defeat to Washington. Pinto had a goal and an assist in the first period and picked up one more helper in the second. Making his 15th appearance of the season, Pinto reached 13 points (five goals, eight assists) for the campaign. He's been very productive on Ottawa's first line, which includes Vladimir Tarasenko and Brady Tkachuk. The latter also had a three-point outing on Monday.

Shane Pinto Signs One-Year Deal With Senators

Restricted free agent Shane Pinto has signed a one-year, league-minimum deal worth $777,000 with the Ottawa Senators. The 23-year-old was hit with a 41-game suspension for activities related to sports wagering and will serve the final game of that suspension on Saturday versus the Winnipeg Jets. The 2019 second-round pick registered 20 goals and 35 points while skating in all 82 games for the Senators as a rookie in the 2022-23 season. "It's just awesome, it's special," Pinto said on Jan. 12 when he returned to practice. "You kind of take it for granted, being around the team and how much the boys mean to you." Pinto and the Senators are believed to be in talks about a long-term contract with the team.

Shane Pinto Suspended 41 Games For Gambling

Ottawa Senators center Shane Pinto has received a 41-game suspension for activities relating to sports wagering. According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Pinto's suspension started with Game 1 this season, meaning he will be eligible to play again on Jan. 21 if Pinto has agreed on a contract with the Senators by then. The 22-year-old is a restricted free agent. As Pinto has already been away from the team, his suspension doesn't change anything for the Senators, although they definitely wouldn't mind having his services available. Pinto produced 20 goals and 35 points in 82 games during his first full NHL season last term.

Bruins Expected To Have Interest In Shane Pinto

The Boston Bruins could reportedly be interested in bolstering their center position with Shane Pinto. A source has told Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now that the Bruins are seen as a potential suitor for Pinto as teams have started inquiring about the cost of the restricted free agent. The 22-year-old centerman is without a contract for the 2023-24 campaign after finishing a three-year, $2.7 million pact. Pinto slowly started to make noise in the NHL last season, winning Rookie of the Month honors in October and finishing with 20 goals and 35 points in 82 appearances. He would be a good pickup for the Bruins, but it's been noted that the Senators definitely won't let him go on the cheap.

Shane Pinto Might Be Available Monday

Ottawa Senators center Shane Pinto (lower body) could be game-ready Monday versus San Jose despite getting hurt Saturday against New Jersey. He suffered a lower-body injury whilst blocking a shot and sat out Sunday's practice because of it. The 22-year-old has managed to collect eight goals and nine points in 17 games this season. However, he has gone cold after riding a five-game goal streak last month. There should be far more reliable options available for fantasy managers right now.

Shane Pinto Stretches Goal Streak To Five Games

Ottawa Senators center Shane Pinto remained hot in front of the net Monday, scoring in a fifth consecutive game. He netted the team's third goal as Ottawa came from behind to beat Dallas 4-2. Pinto is the first rookie in franchise history to record a five-game goal streak. it's been an amazing run, considering Pinto has produced just two shots on goal across the last two games and he averages just 14 and a half minutes of ice time per game. But when you're hot, you're hot, and Pinto will look to extend his streak Thursday night in a very favorable matchup against the Wild, who are giving up a league-worst 5.40 goals per game.
