DFS Tuesday Night Football
DFS Tuesday Night Football
For those DFS players who haven't got enough of Week 15, tonight is the night for you. A special two-game Tuesday slate on DraftKings gives us one more chance to earn some cash this week.
We have Washington at Philadelphia and Seattle at the Los Angeles Rams on tonight's schedule. There are plenty of DFS options for DraftKings' slate.
Here is a guide to selecting your team tonight:
Quarterback
Matthew Stafford, Rams, $6,700
Stafford went through a brief lull this season in Weeks 9 and 10 with games in which he scored 15.06 and 11.82 DraftKings points. It looked like something wasn't clicking for the Rams' signal-caller. He was throwing bad interceptions and not making the sharp decisions he normally makes. But he has quickly turned that around with three straight games of 23 or more DK points. At $6,700, his price has not gotten out of control. He still has the upside to score 30 points and he also has a pretty high floor against a very beatable Seahawks defense. Expect some fireworks from Stafford tonight.
Running back
Rashad Penny, Seahawks, $5,400
Penny is coming off of a monster game which has helped him take over the bell-cow role for the Seahawks. He carried 16 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns on his way to 29.8 DK points. Yes, it was against the Houston Texans, but he should have a feature role again tonight. It is a tougher matchup against a solid defense in the Rams, but Penny has the opportunity for another big game in which he dominates backfield touches. As of Tuesday afternoon, Alex Collins has not been activated from the COVID-list so his availability for this game is in question. Look for Penny to provide good value on this slate where he might not be as popular as Antonio Gibson or the Rams' running back options.
Wide receiver
Cooper Kupp, Rams, $8,800
Kupp is the most expensive option at wide receiver, but pairing him with Matthew Stafford makes a lot of sense. There is not too much to say about Kupp other than that he has been elite this season and has been remarkably consistent. He has exactly one game this season in which he didn't receive 10 or more targets and he only has three games in which he has scored fewer than 20 DK points. The upside is 40 or so points, while the floor seems to be right around 20-25 points. This is a good matchup with a beatable Seattle secondary, so look for Stafford to find Kupp early and often. That makes Kupp a great DFS target on a smaller slate.
Tight end
Dallas Goedert, Eagles, $4,900
There are not a ton of options at the position on this slate. Tyler Higbee has been ruled out. Washington's Rickie Seals-Jones is questionable with a non-COVID illness. That leaves Goedert standing among players like Gerald Everett as the clear tight end play. Goedert gets a good matchup with Washington and he has been very involved in the offense lately. He caught all six of his targets for 105 yards and two touchdowns (31.5 points) against the Jets last week. The targets haven't been all that consistent over the course of the season, but Goedert has been one of the important cogs in the Eagles' limited pass offense. Look for Jalen Hurts to look his way a lot in this game tonight.
Defense
Eagles, $3,400
The Eagles' defense has been good lately and stands out as the best play despite being the highest-priced unit. They have defensive touchdowns in two of their last four games and have forced five turnovers in that span. On top of that, the Washington quarterback situation is in flux with both Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen not yet activated off the COVID-list making their availability for this game up in the air. If Washington is without its top two QB options, the Eagles' defense could really dominate this game.
Bonus plays
Odell Beckham Jr., Rams WR, $4,900
Beckham has been activated from the COVID-list and is ready to go for this game. At $4,900 he feels like a bargain for the role he is filling since joining the Rams. He has to compete with Van Jefferson for the No. 2 wideout option after Cooper Kupp, but he is getting a healthy amount of targets (10, 5, and 7) in the last three games. Look for Beckham to score a touchdown in this game.
Freddie Swain, Seahawks WR, $3,400
With Tyler Lockett out tonight, look for Swain to be more involved beside top target D.K. Metcalf. Swain has shown big-play ability in limited action. He should have more opportunities this week and is a good bet to make the most of those. At his price, he looks like a great cost-saving play.
