Left-handed pitcher John Rooney was optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land in a corresponding move. Blubaugh immediately came in to pitch in relief after Steven Okert and Kaleb Ort combined for two innings to open the game. The lefty pitch effectively in long relief, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out five. The 25-year-old conceded a good amount of hard contact, however, including two home runs. The issue from a fantasy perspective is that he is still being stretched out as a starter and hasn't thrown more than 100 innings since his professional debut in 2022. Therefore, the right-hander could be limited. For now, he is an intriguing name for dynasty league managers to keep tabs on, but can be avoided elsewhere.
