Orioles
Oakland Athletics outfielder Daz Cameron was traded to the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday in exchange for cash considerations. The 27-year-old appeared in 66 games in Oakland last summer and held a .200/.258/.329 line with five home runs, 15 RBI, and five stolen bases. Cameron previously spent time in the Baltimore organization playing with Triple-A Norfolk during the 2023 season. With Norfolk, Cameron posted a .268/.364/.452 slash line with 16 home runs and 23 stolen bases. The 27-year-old will likely be in the mix for the a spot on the Opening Day Roster but will have few opportunities given how deep the current Baltimore outfield is, consisting of Colton Cowser, Cedric Mullins, and Anthony Santander.

Orioles Claim Daz Cameron Off Waivers
The Baltimore Orioles have claimed outfielder Daz Cameron off waivers from the Detroit Tigers. Cameron appeared in 21 games for the American League Central franchise in 2022, logging a .219 average, a .286 on-base percentage, a home run, and a pair of stolen bases in 70 plate appearances. He'll give the Orioles some additional outfield depth. Baltimore's current outfield options on the team's 40-man roster now include Cameron, Cedric Mullins, Anthony Santander, Jake Cave, Yusniel Diaz, Austin Hays, Ryan McKenna, and Kyle Stowers.

Daz Cameron Homers, Steals A Base In Season Finale
Detroit Tigers outfielder Daz Cameron ended the year with a bang on Sunday. Facing the Chicago White Sox, he went 1-for-3 with a walk, a home run and a stolen base. The 24-year-old has a great profile for fantasy, but he's yet to fully put it together and even earn a full opportunity in the majors. He excelled at Triple-A this year, where he slashed .296/.365/.500 and tallied six home runs and seven stolen bases over just 39 games. In the majors in 2021, he played in 35 games and had a rough slash line (.194/.278/.359), but he did manage to tally six stolen bases and four home runs. He's someone worth keeping an eye on next spring. If he earns a starting role with the team, he could be a great source of stolen bases with some power to boot.

Daz Cameron Tallies Three Hits, Steals A Base
Detroit Tigers outfielder Daz Cameron had a strong game in the team's 5-3 win over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday. He went 3-for-3 with a stolen base and two runs scored. It was his second consecutive start. He was called up this past weekend when fellow outfielder Derek Hill (knee) was placed on the injured list. Cameron now has five stolen bases over 27 games with the Tigers this year. He should see a good amount of playing time going forward with Hill out for the year. Unfortunately, he'll likely be buried in the Tigers lineup and probably won't provide much else other than stolen bases so he isn't worth targeting for fantasy managers.

Daz Cameron Optioned To Triple-A On Saturday
The Detroit Tigers optioned outfielder Daz Cameron to Triple-A on Saturday. The move was made to clear a roster spot for starting pitcher Matthew Boyd (elbow), who will be activated from the injured list to start Sunday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Cameron was sidelined for over a month due to a sprained toe as well as a left ankle injury. He returned about 10 days ago and had been struggling at the plate, going just 2-for-21 over six games. The 24-year-old has flashed some intriguing versatility with three home runs and four stolen bases over 25 games in the majors this year. He could be a strong source of stolen bases for fantasy managers at some point in the coming years if he can hold down a regular or semi-regular role with the Tigers.

Daz Cameron Activated And Starting On Thursday
The Detroit Tigers activated outfielder Daz Cameron (toe/ankle) from the 10-day injured list on Thursday. He is part of the team's starting lineup for Thursday's game against Jose Quintana and the Los Angeles Angels. The 24-year-old was first placed on the injured list with a sprained toe on July 5, but he went on to suffer a left ankle injury, delaying his timeline. Cameron was producing some strong counting stats before landing on the injured list. Over 18 games this year, he's slashed .207/.270/.397 with three home runs, four stolen bases, 10 runs and nine RBI.

Daz Cameron Getting Close To Beginning Rehab Assignment
Detroit Tigers outfielder Daz Cameron (toe) is increasing activity and "trending in the right direction" to begin a rehab assignment soon, according to Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic. Cameron has been sidelined since the beginning of July with a sprained right big toe, after slashing .207/.270/.397 with three home runs, four steals, nine RBI and 10 runs scored over 18 games this season. He's got a lot of promise, and has shown the potential in the minors to be a 15-homer, 15-steals threat in the future. He could be a decent outfielder to roster in deeper formats to close out the year. Managers should keep an eye out for how he plays the rest of the way, as he could be a sleeper pick come draft time next year.

Daz Cameron Lands On The 10-Day Injured List
Detroit Tigers outfielder Daz Cameron (toe) was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday. He was scratched from Monday's game due to a right big toe sprain. The 24-year-old has struggled recently, hitting .091 (1-for-11) with five strikeouts and a stolen base over five games. Niko Goodrum was reinstated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. Akil Baddoo and Goodrum should see an uptick in playing time while Cameron is sidelined. Baddoo is hitting .182 (4-for-22) in July but has racked up stolen bases over five games during the month. Goodrum has swiped 12 bags on the season, both are great options for fantasy managers looking for speed. Cameron can be dropped in all league formats.

Daz Cameron Could Miss Rest Of Rangers Series
Detroit Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said that outfielder Daz Cameron (toe) is day-to-day after he was scratched from Monday's lineup with a right big toe sprain. Cameron may be rested for the rest of the series against the Texas Rangers since it's on turf. If He has to go on the injured list, the Tigers could bring up Derek Hill or Victor Reyes. The 24-year-old Cameron has hit just .207 with a .666 OPS in 63 plate appearances this year with two doubles, three home runs and four stolen bases. The team's No. 8 prospect is athletic with intriguing power/speed tools, but he'll need to find a more consistent approach at the plate and make more contact to be an option for fantasy managers in mixed leagues.

Daz Cameron Scratched With Toe Sprain
Detroit Tigers outfielder Daz Cameron (toe) was scratched from the starting lineup on Monday against the Texas Rangers due to a right toe sprain. Cameron suffered the injury in batting practice before the game when he crashed into the outfield wall while shagging fly balls. The 24-year-old, who is slashing .207/.270/.397 with three home runs, nine RBI and four stolen bases in 18 games, could be a candidate to land on the injured list. Cameron is worth rostering in dynasty/keeper leagues and has some appeal in AL-only leagues for his speed, but he needs to develop a more consistent approach at the plate to become useful in mixed leagues. Akil Baddoo is in center field and batting leadoff, while Nomar Mazara enters in right field and is hitting seventh against Rangers left-hander Kolby Allard. Baddoo has been excellent for fantasy managers all season, while Mazara is a shaky play against southpaws despite the fact that he's been slowing heating up in the last few weeks.
