Henry Bolte Emerging as a High-End Speed Option on the Waiver Wire

After recording a 1.076 OPS across 177 plate appearances to open the year at Triple-A, Athletics outfielder Henry Bolte earned a promotion to the big leagues in mid-May. The 22-year-old has continued to hit at the MLB level, slashing .313/.385/.396 with one home run, seven RBI, 10 runs scored, and six stolen bases across 109 plate appearances since making his debut. Bolte has struck out in 29.4% of his trips to the plate, so his batting average is likely to fall off to some degree as his .453 batting average on balls in play regresses to the mean. Still, Bolte has emerged as the everyday center fielder for the Athletics and possesses elite speed. Across 114 minor league games in 2025, Bolte swiped 44 bags. For fantasy managers in need of speed, Bolte profiles as a high-upside waiver wire target.

Henry Bolte Earning More Playing Time, Emerging as a Top Waiver-Wire Target

Since earning a promotion to the big leagues in mid-May, Athletics outfielder Henry Bolte has hit .309/.392/.368 with zero home runs, five RBI, five runs scored, and four stolen bases across 79 plate appearances. The 22-year-old may now be moving into an everyday role for the A's, as Athletics outfielder Lawrence Butler owns a .501 OPS this season and has begun to cede playing time to Bolte. While Bolte's power has been lacking in the big leagues so far, he hit 12 home runs across 177 plate appearances at Triple-A before being called up by the Athletics. He's also made consistently solid contact despite the lack of home runs, as he's posted a 53.2% hard hit rate. Swing-and-miss is a bit of a concern for Bolte, as he's struck out in 27.8% of his plate appearances. His batting average has been buoyed by a .447 batting average on balls in play, which fantasy managers should expect to regress. Still, Bolte's demonstrated speed and power upside make him an intriguing waiver wire target.

Henry Bolte Flashing Speed and Contact, Worth Monitoring on Waiver Wire

Athletics outfielder Henry Bolte has continued to impress during his rookie season, hitting .300 over his last seven games while building momentum at the major-league level. The Athletics' No. 5 prospect has raised his season batting average to .288 and has already stolen four bases in just 17 games since making his debut on May 13. Bolte's speed has translated immediately, and his 99th-percentile sprint speed gives him plenty of fantasy appeal. He has also shown an ability to make consistent contact while driving the ball with authority. Bolte owns a 50 percent hard-hit rate, a mark that sits well above league average. The sample size remains small, but his combination of speed, contact ability, and emerging production makes him a player worth monitoring closely in fantasy leagues.

Henry Bolte Living Up to Expectations as a Must-Add Stolen Base Threat?

Athletics outfielder Henry Bolte has been terrific ever since being promoted to the majors for his MLB debut. Across nine big-league games, he's slashing .310/.382/.345 with an 11.8% walk rate, a 20.6% strikeout rate, and 108 wRC+. He hasn't launched a home run in the majors yet, but we knew that he didn't have a ton of power even before he was called up. He's made up for it by stealing three bases, as he continues to show off his game-changing speed. Bolte's base-stealing upside gives him a clear path to plenty of production in fantasy baseball. He's still available in 89% of fantasy baseball leagues, and he ranks as the #62 outfielder in RotoBaller's latest rankings for the 2026 season. Bolte represents a speed-centric waiver wire target as we approach the end of May.

Athletics to Promote Top Outfield Prospect Henry Bolte to Major Leagues

According to Martin Gallegos of MLB.com, the Athletics are promoting outfield prospect Henry Bolte to the major leagues. The team's No. 5-ranked prospect according to MLB.com has been swinging a hot bat at Triple-A Las Vegas this season and is being rewarded with an early promotion. Through 37 games with the Aviators, the outfielder has posted an impressive .348/.418/.658 line with a 1.076 OPS. During this stretch, Bolte has flashed high-end speed upside, swiping 17 bags while launching 12 long balls. Last summer, Bolte showed similar speed upside, stealing 44 bags over a 114-game stint in the upper minors, but had minimal power, hitting only nine round-trippers. Seeing Bolte begin to tap into his raw power makes him a priority waiver option ahead of his debut. If he sees an everyday role, Bolte could possess elite speed upside while pushing for double-digit home runs.

Henry Bolte Holds Elite Stash Upside When Looking for Speed

Athletics outfield prospect Henry Bolte holds high-end stash upside when looking for prospects who can make a high impact in the stolen base category. Through his first 36 games of the Triple-A regular season, the team's No. 5-ranked prospect has swiped an impressive 16 bags. During this stint, he has held a .351/.419/.669 slash line with seven doubles, 12 home runs, and a 38:17 K:BB. Last summer, Bolte spent most of his time with the Double-A level before joining Triple-A Las Vegas late in the second half. During his first taste of Triple-A ball, Bolte looked just as comfortable as he is now, holding a similar .300/.404/.433 line with 13 stolen bases over 34 games. Bolte has shown immense stolen base upside with increasing power. Even though there is no clear spot on the MLB roster for him, one injury could create a clear path for him. His five-category skill set makes him a top option to stash in 12+ team category formats.

Henry Bolte on a Hitting Streak as MLB Debut Looms

Athletics outfield prospect Henry Bolte is currently riding a four-game hitting streak, and as a result, his batting average has increased above .300. Because of how well he's hitting, we would not be surprised to see the A's call up Bolte for his MLB debut sooner rather than later. He has 31 games under his belt at Triple-A, where he's slashing .305/.385/.519 with seven home runs, 13 steals, a 10.8% walk rate, a 24.3% strikeout rate, and 119 wRC+. The former second-round pick continues to show off a blend of power, speed, and plate discipline that should prepare him well for major league action. We're equally encouraged by his advanced metrics, including a 108.9 mph EV90 (96th percentile) and a 74.2% zone swing rate (86th percentile). The A's might give Bolte a little more time at Triple-A just so he doesn't feel rushed, but a May debut seems like it's within the realm of possibilities. Fantasy managers should prepare for his debut by stashing him before leaguemates take notice.

Henry Bolte Goes on Injured List, Expected to Undergo Surgery on Wrist

Athletics outfield prospect Henry Bolte (wrist) was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, and he is expected to undergo surgery this week on his injured wrist. It is an unfortunate end to a strong season that saw the Athletics' sixth-ranked prospect earn a promotion from Double-A and go on to hit .300 with a .404 OBP thanks to a strong 11.3 percent walk rate and steal 13 bases in 34 games for the Aviators. There is some concern about his strikeout rate, which is 32.8 percent during his minor league career, but his speed and ability to draw walks help to offset that, while there could also be more power to be unlocked. The 22-year-old will likely start 2026 at Triple-A, but has a real shot to make his major league debut next season, and he could become an intriguing fantasy asset down the line.

Henry Bolte Promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas

Athletics outfield prospect Henry Bolte has been promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas after a productive start to the season at Double-A. The Athletics' sixth-ranked prospect slashed .278/.378/.424 with seven home runs and 31 steals in 80 games. A 27.4 percent strikeout rate is something to keep an eye on, although it was much improved compared to last year's 38.8 percent rate in 54 Double-A games. The 21-year-old also stole 46 bags last year and 32 in 2023, so his speed is a real asset. If the former second-rounder can continue to hit, a debut in the majors in 2026 could become a reality, but for now, he is not a must-stash player in dynasty fantasy leagues.

Henry Bolte Joining Triple-A Las Vegas

The Athletics are promoting outfield prospect Henry Bolte to Triple-A Las Vegas. Bolte has spent the entire first half of the season with Double-A Midland. Last summer, Bolte split his time with High-A and Double-A. Through 80 games with Midland this season, the former second-round pick has been performing quite well, holding a .278/.378/.424 slash line with 14 doubles, seven home runs, and 31 stolen bases. This is a great sign as Bolte held a much lower .252/.332/.396 slash line with just four long balls and a .728 OPS through his first 54 games at Double-A last summer. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Bolte's development as he appears to be taking the next step in the upper minor leagues. However, he will likely have to wait until 2026 to make his MLB debut given the crowded outfield on the major league roster.
