Donovan Walton News
Seattle Mariners infielder Donovan Walton has been recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday. He is slashing .206/.254/.365 with a pair of home runs over 63 at-bats this season. Obviously, Walton is not much of a fantasy option, but will be nice depth for Seattle. Right-hander Yohan Ramirez has been optioned to the minors in a corresponding move. Neither of these players bring enough to the table to warrant adding in even deep leagues.

Taylor Trammell Optioned, Donovan Walton Recalled
Seattle Mariners outfielder Taylor Trammell has been optioned to the minors following a stint with the MLB club. He struggled heavily during his time in Seattle, so the Mariners want Trammell to work on his game in the minors. Trammel has a bright future in the league, but needs to work out a few holes in his game. Walton isn't much of an upgrade, he's slashing .206/.254/.365 at the MLB level this season. Both players don't appear to be carrying much fantasy value right now. Hopefully, Trammell will be back in Seattle at some point this season.

Donovan Walton Recalled From Triple-A
Seattle Mariners utility man Donovan Walton has been recalled from Triple-A Tacoma and will be active for the Mariners on Tuesday night in their game against the Colorado Rockies. Relief pitcher Yohan Ramirez was demoted in a corresponding move. Walton has had some success at the major league level this year, but his .608 OPS, two home runs and one steal leave him off the fantasy radar unless injuries open up a more regular lineup spot. Even then, he's best left on the waiver wire.

Donovan Walton And Dillon Thomas Demoted To Triple-A
Seattle Mariners utility man Donovan Walton and outfielder Dillon Thomas were sent to Triple-A before Saturday's game against the Cleveland Indians. The moves make room on the active roster for Dylan Moore, who returns off the injured list from a calf strain, and reliever Yohan Ramirez. Though Thomas has only been in the majors for several days, Walton has participated in 20 games for the Mariners, producing a .608 OPS with two homers and one steal. Neither one needs to be held on fantasy rosters.

Donovan Walton Fills the Box Score Sunday
Seattle Mariners utility man Donovan Walton had a big game Sunday out of the nine-spot in the order. Walton went 2-for-3 with his second career home run, a double, a walk, two RBI, and three runs scored. Walton has been in the starting lineup on a regular basis since mid-May, and he's been heating up of late, slashing .318/.348/.682 over his last seven games with two homers, a steal, five runs, and five RBI. He could be an under-the-radar plug-in in deep leagues.

Donovan Walton Hits First Career Home Run
Seattle Mariners utility man Donovan Walton hit his first career home run Monday, a three-run shot off Oakland starter James Kaprielian in the bottom of the fourth inning. Walton has played all over the diamond over the last several weeks, filling in for various injured starters. His playing time stands to diminish going forward, and he isn't a factor for fantasy purposes.

Donovan Walton Triples Home Two
Seattle Mariners second baseman Donovan Walton made his first start of the year Saturday night, and came through with a big triple to drive in two runs. Walton was acting as the designated hitter in the contest against Cleveland, and batting out of the ninth spot. Walton could be in line for some additional playing time after being called up amid injuries to infield regulars Evan White and Ty France. Even so, it would take an extremely deep fantasy league for Walton to find relevance, and he's best left on waiver wires.
