Could Marlins Give Karson Milbrandt a Look at Big-League Level?

Miami Marlins pitching prospect Karson Milbrandt has pitched well in the minors this season between Double-A Pensacola and Triple-A Jacksonville. His numbers were dominant at Pensacola, with a 4-1 record, a 1.34 ERA, and a 1.00 WHIP. His strikeout rate was also excellent at Double-A, with 70 strikeouts over 47 innings. His numbers have come back to earth a bit at Triple-A after his promotion, with a 4.15 ERA and 1.66 WHIP at Jacksonville. The dip in numbers is a bit concerning but is to be expected to some extent after just five Triple-A starts. Milbrandt, the No. 4 overall prospect for the Marlins, might have a path to the majors with Marlins starting pitcher Janson Junk currently on the 15-day IL. Should Milbrandt get a look to fill Junk's spot in the near future, he could prove to be a worthwhile pickup for fantasy managers in most leagues.

Is Karson Milbrandt the Next Top Pitching Prospect to Debut?

Miami Marlins right-handed pitching prospect Karson Milbrandt has quickly begun to climb the stash rankings and has seen his fantasy value soar over the past month. Despite beginning the 2026 campaign at the Double-A level, Milbrandt is now not only one stop away from the big leagues but also has a clear path to contribute in the Marlins' starting rotation for the majority of the second half. With Double-A, Milbrandt posted a sharp 1.34 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with a 70:17 K:BB across 47 innings of work, which prompted an early promotion to Triple-A. With Jacksonville, Milbrandt has continued to perform well, posting a 2.33 ERA over his first four starts. With both Thomas White and Robby Snelling shut down for the season, Milbrandt is the next man up in the pitching system and could easily find a role in the back half of the starting rotation later in the second half. He is solidifying himself as a top stash target in 12+ team leagues ahead of Week 15.

Will Karson Milbrandt Debut Early in the Second Half?

Miami Marlins starting pitching prospect Karson Milbrandt has seen his redraft fantasy stock increase substantially over the past few weeks. Milbrandt began the 2026 season in Double-A and was not on the stash radar, as he was behind both Robby Snelling and Thomas White in the system. However, with both of those pitchers now out for the remainder of the season, Milbrandt has a clear path to the MLB roster. After logging 47 innings to the tune of an elite 1.34 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and a 70:17 K:BB at Double-A, Milbrandt was quickly bumped up to Triple-A. At Jacksonville, Milbrandt has continued to produce, posting a 1.20 ERA with a high 1.27 WHIP over his first three starts. While his command has been an issue at Triple-A, the 22-year-old has been able to limit the damage. While he will likely need a few more starts at Triple-A, Milbrandt has put himself in a great position to debut early in the second half of the season, making him a prime pitching prospect to stash in 12+ team leagues.

Karson Milbrandt a Top Arm to Stash for Strikeout Potential

Miami Marlins pitching prospect Karson Milbrandt continued to avoid trouble in his latest outing at Triple-A Jacksonville, allowing just one run but working around three hits and a whopping five walks in only four innings pitched. The right-hander was able to get out of jams the way he usually does, by striking out seven of the 20 batters faced in the contest. Through three starts at Triple-A, the Marlins' fourth-ranked prospect has pitched to a 1.20 ERA (3.76 FIP) and 1.27 WHIP, but just a 6.8 percent K-BB% due to a high walk rate. In 12 games on the season between Double-A and Triple-A, the former third-rounder has recorded a strong 35.1 percent strikeout rate, but the command could be what is keeping him from making his major league debut. Two of Miami's rotation arms right now are Ryan Gusto (6.00 ERA, 1.61 WHIP) and recently converted reliever Tyler Phillips (4.94 ERA as a starter), and although they'll get Janson Junk back in July, they could use some more help. Milbrandt is not on the 40-man roster, which could also delay his debut, but look for him to get the call after the All-Star break, and he could be a worthwhile stash in deep leagues for his strikeout upside.

Is Karson Milbrandt a Must-Stash as he Climbs Minor-League Ladder?

Miami Marlins pitching prospect Karson Milbrandt has impressed at every level and challenge placed before him this season. The 6-foot-2 right-hander continues to progress in the Marlins' minor league system and is seeing his fantasy value soar. At his latest stop at Triple-A Jacksonville, he has yet to record a decision in three starts but has dazzled with a 1.20 ERA and 15 punchouts (over 15 innings). Before that, at Double-A Pensacola, Milbrandt was dominant, posting a 4-1 record and a 1.34 ERA with 70 strikeouts over 47 innings of work. With the Marlins needing depth at the major-league level in their starting rotation with Eury Perez and Janson Junk both on the 15-day injured list, Milbrandt could find his way to Miami shortly. His high upside and prolific strikeout rate make him an appealing stash option for fantasy managers in deeper leagues.

Karson Milbrandt Continues to Deal at Triple-A, a Top Arm to Stash?

Miami Marlins pitching prospect Karson Milbrandt has looked right at home during his short time at Triple-A Jacksonville, allowing just one run on five hits in 11 innings so far for the Jumbo Shrimp. One critique could be that he has also walked six batters during that time, which registers as a 15.4 percent walk rate, and he's struck out seven batters, which is a 20.5 percent strikeout rate, quite a dip from the 38.3 percent rate we saw through nine starts at Double-A. Nevertheless, he's been able to limit damage, and if he keeps it up, a debut in the majors should happen later this year. Despite multiple blows to the starting rotation, the team has resisted calling up the 6-foot-2 hurler, but assuming he gets the walks under control and returns to his high-strikeout ways, look for the Marlins' fifth-ranked prospect to make a debut by August. For those who want to get ahead of that, the 22-year-old is worthy of stash consideration in most leagues for his strikeout potential. The former third-round draft pick will take his next turn on the mound on Saturday for Jacksonville for those who want to monitor his progress.

Is Karson Milbrandt the Next Marlins Pitcher to Debut?

Miami Marlins right-handed pitching prospect Karson Milbrandt was recently bumped up to the Triple-A level and is quickly approaching his MLB debut much sooner than anticipated. Milbrandt opened the 2026 campaign far away from a potential MLB debut, as he was expected to debut after both top prospects in the system, Robby Snelling and Thomas White. However, with Snelling out for the season, and White on the shelf with a shoulder injury and trending towards missing the remainder of the campaign, Milbrandt now has a clear path to debut. Milbrandt began the season with Double-A and posted a 1.34 ERA with a 70:17 K:BB over a short 47-inning stint, which pushed him up to the top club. In his first game with Triple-A, Milbrandt looked just as impressive, logging six shutout frames with two hits but only striking out one hitter. While Milbrandt will likely need more seasoning with Jacksonville, his path to the big leagues is far clearer with Eury Perez and Janson Junk both on the MLB injured list. The 22-year-old is now firmly on the stash radar and could even compete for a debut before the end of the first half.

Karson Milbrandt Sharp in Triple-A Debut, On the Fast Track to Major Leagues?

Miami Marlins pitching prospect Karson Milbrandt looked sharp in his Triple-A debut on Saturday and is quickly putting himself among the top pitching prospects to stash in fantasy. In this outing, Milbrandt tossed six shutout innings with two hits, three walks, and one strikeout. Earlier this season, Milbrandt logged 47 innings at the Double-A level and was near unhittable, posting an elite 1.34 ERA with a 1.00 WHIP. During this stretch, Milbrandt racked up an eye-catching 70 punchouts while walking 17 hitters. While it did not appear the 22-year-old would be in the mix to debut this summer, with both Robby Snelling and Thomas White on the injured list (and Snelling out for the season), Milbrandt's path to the majors is far clearer. Managers should continue to keep a close eye on his production in Jacksonville, as he could compete for a promotion early in the second half.

Will Karson Milbrandt be the Next Marlins Pitching Prospect to Debut?

Miami Marlins pitching prospect Karson Milbrandt has pitched extremely well so far this season, and with a recent promotion to Triple-A Jacksonville, the right-hander has put himself in the stash conversation for fantasy. The former third-rounder has pitched to a 1.34 ERA and 1.00 WHIP through nine starts at Double-A, while striking out 38.3 percent of opponents. His 70 strikeouts are second-most for any pitcher in all the minors, and it will be interesting to see how he fares at the minors' highest level. The Marlins' ninth-ranked prospect will get his first opportunity to face stiffer competition on Saturday when he takes the mound for the first time for the Jumbo Shrimp, and if he continues to perform, a major league debut should be in the cards later in the season. The Marlins' rotation depth has taken multiple hits with Janson Junk (shin) and Eury Perez (thigh) recently hitting the injured list, and with prospect Robby Snelling (elbow) also out for the year after making just one MLB start. Top prospect Thomas White (shoulder) remains on the 7-day IL, so Milbrandt's chance may come out of sheer necessity, though he's not currently on the 40-man roster. Either way, his strikeout upside puts him on the fantasy radar, and if he shows well on Saturday, he could quickly become a top pitching stash in redraft leagues.

Karson Milbrandt Promoted to Triple-A, Quickly Approaching MLB Debut?

Craig Mish, host of SportsGrid, reported Monday morning that among all the Marlins' recent big-league moves is a significant minor-league note. Top 100 prospect starting pitcher Karson Milbrandt has been elevated to Triple-A Jacksonville. He has been fantastic in Double-A and is one step closer to the big leagues. Milbrandt is a former 2022 third-round pick by the Marlins, and he has been working his way up quickly through the Minors over the past year, with a solid 2025 season across High-A and Double-A, owning a 3.00 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with a 29.0 percent strikeout rate. Fast forward to his time in Double-A this season, and he owns a 1.34 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with a ridiculous 38.3 percent strikeout rate and 19.3 percent SwStr percentage. Milbrandt is an exciting prospect, as his arsenal includes a fastball that has touched 97 mph, and he now has a solid low-80s curveball after moving away from his slider while also improving his changeup. Milbrandt is certainly a prospect to keep your eyes on in redraft formats, while worth a check in your dynasty leagues to see if he's available.
