The D-backs' 10th-ranked prospect has put together a .301/.377/.471 slash line with 10 home runs through 67 games for Double-A Amarillo. His 78 hits and .301 average are second-best in the Texas League, while his SLG and OPS are both top five. The 23-year-old also showed well in his 13 games at Double-A last year, and now with 80 productive games to his name for the Sod Poodles, he should be in the mix for a promotion to Triple-A later this year.

Arizona Diamondbacks third base prospect Gino Groover crushed two homers on Tuesday night for High-A Hillsboro. It was the second multi-homer game of August for the 22-year-old out of N.C. State. Groover has had a productive month with four homers and 15 RBI while recording a .266 batting average. This season, between two levels, Groover is hitting .257/.352/.407 with five homers and 24 RBI in 45 games. A broken wrist shortened his season but he is starting to produce at a high level. The Diamondbacks' No. 9 prospect possesses a 60-grade hit tool to go with 50-grade power. So this should be a big-league bat in a few years and a potential fantasy contributor at third base.

It was the second home run of Groover's professional career and his first since returning from a broken wrist. Arizona's No. 5 prospect has played just 10 games at High-A so far this season because of the injury. In those 10 games, he has a homer, five RBI, and two stolen bases, while hitting .268. The North Carolina State product is a polished offensive performer with a 60-grade hit tool and 50-grade power. At 22 years old, he could advance quickly through the Diamondbacks minor league ranks assuming he can stay healthy.
