Roderick Arias Continues Power Surge on Wednesday

New York Yankees infield prospect Roderick Arias went 2-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI during their contest against Low-A Clearwater on Wednesday evening. Over his last five games, Arias has posted an impressive .400/.478/.850 line with three home runs and nine RBI. However, before this productive surge, Arias went 1-for-24 over his last six games with an 11:2 K:BB. Overall, the 20-year-old has struggled to find consistency at the Low-A level, posting a .192/.316/.303 line through 53 games. He has tallied 11 doubles, hit four home runs, but holds a 70:36 K:BB. Last season, the No. 5-ranked prospect in the system spent 124 games with Low-A and held a slightly higher .233/.335/.393 line with just 13 home runs. Given his struggles, he will likely not be in the mix to join High-A in the second half.

Yankees Reassign Roderick Arias To Minor-League Camp

The New York Yankees have reassigned shortstop prospect Roderick Arias to minor league camp. The 20-year-old was a non-roster invitee this spring and had gone 3-for-7 over his first five Grapefruit League games, but will head back to the minors where he finished last season at Single-A. The switch-hitter compiled a .233-13-74-78-37 line over the 2024 campaign in 124 games, along with a strong 12.3 percent walk rate, but the 31.0 percent strikeout rate was concerning. The Dominican will want to work on that this season if he wants to keep progressing through the organization, although he's still a couple of years away from the big leagues, with a 2027 ETA per MLB.com's top prospects list. The Yankees' No. 7 overall prospect could still be growing into this power and clearly has speed, so dynasty managers will want to pay close attention to how this season plays out as he's got the potential to be an impactful player for fantasy.

Roderick Arias Blasts Grand Slam For Single-A Tampa

New York Yankees shortstop prospect Roderick Arias hit his second career grand slam on Thursday night. The 19-year-old is hitting .228 with seven home runs and 51 RBI to go with 26 stolen bases for Single-A Tampa this season. The Yankees' No. 4 prospect is top-five in the Florida State League in hits, RBI, and stolen bases. A solid hitter with power and speed on the bases, Arias is a promising prospect. At just 19, he has handled his first taste of Single-A quite nicely. He is a name to stash away as he continues to progress through the Yankees' farm system.

Roderick Arias Tallies Career-High Six RBI On Friday

New York Yankees shortstop prospect Roderick Arias tallied three hits on Friday evening with a triple and a home run and brought home a career-high six runs. Arias has struggled through his first look at Single-A ball but has recently begun to string together strong performances. Over his past 17 games, the 19-year-old is riding a .260/.291/.425 line with 15 RBI and five swiped bags. However, overall on the season, the switch-hitter holds an underwhelming .218/.321/.359 line with 29 RBI and 14 stolen bases through 52 games. Arias is ranked as the number four prospect in the Yankee system on MLB Pipeline and is not projected to reach the majors until 2027. However, he could be worth stashing if not already in dynasty leagues once he reaches High-A.

Roderick Arias Posts First Career Three-Hit Game

New York Yankees shortstop prospect Roderick Arias posted his first three-hit game on Wednesday. The 19-year-old has posted three two-hit games in his first taste of professional ball, but Wednesday was the first time he had surpassed the three-hit feat. Arias is currently riding a solid .221/.338/.382 line in his first 17 games at Single-A. Arias, who is considered the third-best prospect in the Yankee system and 78th overall prospect on MLB Pipeline, is many years away from making his major league debut. However, dynasty managers should keep an eye on his production as he has the potential to become one of the best prospects in the sport.
