Is Thomas White Still a Top Stash Target in Standard Leagues?

Miami Marlins top pitching prospect Thomas White (shoulder) was placed on the 7-day injured list last week. While this significantly decreased his short-term upside, White remains a top pitching prospect to stash, as he still holds a clear path to the majors. Before hitting the minor league injured list, the Marlins demoted Braxton Garrett to Triple-A and placed Robby Snelling on the 60-day injured list, opening up a clear path for their top prospect. While this injury delayed his eventual MLB debut, per reports, the team believes it is not a serious issue and should not keep him on the shelf for long. Fantasy managers should continue to keep a close eye on his status, as a quick return from the injured list could put him immediately at the top of most stash boards. His elite strikeout potential could make him a high-impact option for fantasy as soon as he earns the call.

Is Thomas White Still Worth Stashing Following Shoulder Injury?

Miami Marlins top pitching prospect Thomas White (shoulder) was placed on the 7-day injured list last week with a shoulder injury. This was a tough blow for the budding ace as he appeared to have a clear path to making his MLB debut in the immediate future, as Robby Snelling was shifted to the 15-day injured list. However, even though this injury hurt his short-term upside, his long-term value remains high, as this shoulder injury is not expected to be overly serious. Fantasy managers should continue to keep a close eye on his status as he could return to the bump before the ned of June, which could keep him in play for a first-half MLB debut. The 21-year-old missed the start of the Triple-A season due to an oblique injury but has been effective when on the mound, striking out 25 hitters over 18 2/3 innings. With a clear path to the majors still in play, White is a viable stash target for those in deeper 12+ team leagues with multiple N/A spots.

Thomas White Dealing With a "Shoulder Thing"

Miami Marlins president of baseball operations Peter Bendix said on MLB Network Radio on Sunday that left-handed pitching prospect Thomas White (shoulder), who is currently on the seven-day injured list at Triple-A Jacksonville, is dealing with a "bit of a shoulder thing," and that it's not something "particularly concerning." The 21-year-old southpaw, who is considered the club's top prospect per MLB Pipeline, figured to be a candidate to make his major-league debut after fellow lefty prospect Robby Snelling needed elbow surgery and the team demoted lefty Braxton Garrett after a rough two starts in the big-league rotation. However, White is dealing with an injury of his own, although it doesn't figure to keep him out for too long. Before going on the IL at Jacksonville, White had a 4.34 ERA and 1.45 WHIP with 25 strikeouts and nine walks in 18 2/3 innings across five starts. The 6-foot-5, 240-pounder could be the top option for a major-league call-up in Miami once he returns to health in the minors, and he's certainly a stash candidate in deeper leagues.

Thomas White Placed on 7-Day Injured List, Still Holding High-End Stash Value?

According to MiLB.com, Miami Marlins top pitching prospect Thomas White (undisclosed) has been placed on the 7-day injured list. This is a tough blow for the budding ace, as it appeared the young left-hander was in serious consideration to make his MLB debut in the immediate future. With Robby Snelling recently moved to the 15-day IL and Braxton Garrett optioned to Triple-A, White appeared to be the next man up. However, the young lefty will be out at least the next week on the injured list. White was in contention to break camp with the MLB roster, but an oblique injury in camp hindered his chances. After a short stint on the IL to begin the season, he has since returned to Triple-A and logged 18 2/3 innings to the tune of a 4.34 ERA and 25 punchouts. While his short-term value did take a hit, he remains in the mix to make his MLB debut later this season and is still worth stashing in deeper 12+ team formats.

Thomas White Emerging as Top Pitching Prospect to Stash?

Miami Marlins pitching prospect Thomas White was scratched from his Wednesday start "for precautionary reasons," leading many to speculate that his call-up to the majors is imminent. No official promotion has happened, but starting pitcher Braxton Garrett was optioned to Triple-A on Wednesday, which could pave the way for White's debut. White was already considered a top pitcher to stash for fantasy before Garrett was optioned, and this only makes the case even stronger. The Marlins' top-ranked prospect's 2026 stats don't jump off the page (4.01 ERA, 1.46 WHIP), but he's struck out 25 batters in 18 2/3 innings pitched at Triple-A Jacksonville this season (30.9 percent K%) and punched out 145 batters in only 89 2/3 IP across three levels in 2025. For fantasy managers looking for pitching help, the time is now to grab White off the waiver wire ahead of a possible call-up. Even if the promotion doesn't happen in the next day or so, it should take place in the coming weeks, and the 21-year-old is still a worthy stash option with strikeout upside.

Pitching Prospect Thomas White Set to Join Marlins' Rotation?

Miami Marlins left-handed pitching prospect Thomas White, who is ranked as the team's top prospect per MLB Pipeline, will not start as scheduled for Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday due to what is being described as precautionary reasons, sources told Fish on First Prospects. Fellow lefty pitching prospect Robby Snelling (elbow) got the first shot at joining the big-league rotation when the Fish cut right-hander Chris Paddack, but he's now on the injured list and could be facing season-ending elbow surgery. Lefty Braxton Garrett was next up, but he struggled in his two starts and will be sent back to Jacksonville on Wednesday, potentially paving the way for White to make his MLB debut for Game 3 of a series in Miami against the division-rival Atlanta Braves. The former first-rounder in 2023 has a 4.01 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, and 35:15 K:BB in 24 2/3 frames over seven starts for Jacksonville and Single-A Jupiter this year, so he hasn't exactly been killing it down on the farm. With his potential big-league debut looming, White is one of the best young arms to stash in fantasy. He's rostered in 6% of Yahoo leagues.

Thomas White Primed for Call-Up the Next Time Marlins Need an Arm?

Miami Marlins pitching prospect Thomas White could be the next man up when a rotation spot opens up after the recently promoted Robby Snelling (elbow) hit the injured list with a UCL sprain after one start, with the team recalling Braxton Garrett for Thursday's start against the Twins. White is not on the 40-man roster, so it is not a certainty he'll be the next name called, and he was shaky in his latest start at Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday, allowing four earned runs on seven hits (two home runs) and two walks in just four innings of work. He struck out three batters, but his ERA at Triple-A now stands at 4.86 through five starts with an uninspiring 1.62 WHIP, thanks partly to a high 11.1 percent walk rate. Still, the Marlins' top prospect was fantastic in 2025, recording a 2.31 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 145 strikeouts in 89 2/3 innings (25.0 percent K-BB%) across three levels, and should get back on track soon. With a nearing MLB debut and his high potential for strikeouts, the 21-year-old is one of the top pitchers to stash in most formats.

Is Thomas White the No. 1 Pitching Prospect to Stash?

Miami Marlins pitching prospect Thomas White carries high-end stash upside ahead of Week 7 of the fantasy baseball season. With his teammate, Robby Snelling, recently earning the call to the majors this past weekend, White now stands as one of the clear top pitching prospects to stash. White is considered the team's top prospect and overall No. 14-ranked prospect in the sport according to MLB.com. The former 35th overall selection nearly made the Opening Day roster out of camp but suffered an oblique injury, which hindered his chances. However, White has since been activated off the 7-day injured list and is showing his raw talent at Triple-A. Over his first 14 2/3 innings of the young season, the lefty has struck out 22 hitters while carrying a 3.07 ERA. While White will still have to showcase more sustained success at Triple-A, he is quickly approaching his MLB debut and is on track for a late first-half promotion.

Thomas White Entering Elite Stash Territory?

Miami Marlins left-handed pitching prospect Thomas White continues to emerge as an elite stash option in standard formats. White was in contention to break camp with the MLB roster in spring training but suffered an oblique injury early in camp, which derailed his chances. However, after a short rehab assignment with the lower levels, White has not only returned to Triple-A Jacksonville but is once again flashing his elite upside. Through his first three starts of the campaign with Triple-A, the team's No. 1-ranked prospect has posted a 2.13 ERA with a stellar 0.78 WHIP. He has struck out 19 batters while allowing only four free passes. Walks were a major concern for White last season as he served up 51 over 89 2/3 total frames. Seeing White limit his own damage while maintaining his high-end strike potential is an excellent sign. With Chris Paddack being designated for assignment, White could debut in the majors much sooner than anticipated. He is worth stashing in all 12+ team leagues in Week 6 of the fantasy baseball season.

Thomas White an Intriguing High-Strikeout Pitcher to Stash

Miami Marlins starting pitcher Thomas White has been racking up strikeouts at Triple-A, and he could be promoted to the majors sooner rather than later. When he does arrive in Miami, he'll be an immediate fantasy baseball option given his ability to pitch deep into games and rack up strikeouts. Through three games (12.2 innings) at Triple-A this year, he has a 2.95 FIP with 13.50 K/9, 2.84 BB/9, and 0.71 HR/9. The former first-round pick headlines his repertoire with a mid-90s four-seam fastball that has surrendered an impressive .083 xBA. He uses a sweeper with 14" of horizontal break to miss bats, inducing a 45.8% whiff rate. He also throws more of a true slider, a changeup, and a splitter. Between his results at Triple-A and his advanced feel for such a complex mix, White has the makings of an impact starter in the majors. Fantasy managers should stash him now while he's still available.
