Per the team, the Miami Dolphins have signed defensive lineman Ben Stille to a one-year, $1.1 million contract. The 27-year-old has bounced around the league quite a bit in his three campaigns, joining the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2022, but splitting time with them and the Cleveland Browns that season. Then, he'd join the Arizona Cardinals in 2023 and spend some of 2024 with the Cards and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 18 career appearances (one start), he's racked up 17 tackles (seven solo), 2.0 sacks, one pass defensed, one tackle for loss, and one fumble recovery. Stille seems set for a depth role on the organization's defensive front if he makes the cut.
The Cleveland Browns are signing defensive tackle Ben Stille off of the Miami Dolphins practice squad on Tuesday. The Browns defense has been one of the worst units against the run this year, so they are trying to build some depth with the Stille signing. It comes after they waived defensive tackle Roderick Perry II on Monday. Still stands at 6-foot-4, 300 pounds and is quick and explosive at his position. The 25-year-old from Nebraska saw nine defensive snaps with the Dolphins in his NFL debut in Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
