Harrison Butker News
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, cornerback Rashad Fenton, safety Armani Watts and punter Tommy Townsend were all activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday, according to head coach Andy Reid. Butker, who ranks No. 14 in overall points in fantasy at his position, will return to the field this Sunday in a potentially high-scoring affair against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Chiefs offense should be back to full strength, except for maybe running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (shoulder), and Butker should be given plenty of scoring opportunities for a Chiefs offense that is peaking at the right time with two regular season games left to go. He'll be a top-10 fantasy kicker in Week 17.
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week, is out on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers because he's unvaccinated, according to a source. Elliott Fry is expected to serve as the Chiefs kicker this weekend with Butker unavailable. Butker ranks as the No. 12 kicker in fantasy heading into Week 16 with 22 made field goals and 41 successful extra points in 43 attempts. Fantasy managers that were planning on using Butker this weekend will have to look elsewhere. Fry, 27, was elevated from the team's practice squad on Monday. In one career game last year with the Atlanta Falcons, he made his only field-goal attempt and missed one of two extra points. He won't be a great fantasy option despite playing on a strong Chiefs offense.
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list after testing positive for the virus Monday. Butker has been on a run of elite production since Week 8, having made multiple field goals in seven consecutive contests. The 26-year-old has missed just two extra points all season, increasing his accuracy to 95.3%, his highest mark since his rookie year in 2017. While the Chiefs offense hasn't produced at a historic rate this year, Butker remains among the cream of the kicking crop. An absence would force Kansas City to get creative, with whomever would handle kicking duties earning consideration in medium-sized or larger formats.
