Isiah Pacheco News
According to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, running back Isiah Pacheco (hand, shoulder) is "making progress." The 24-year-old finished his inaugural season with 830 yards and five touchdowns off 170 carries. He added 13 catches for 130 yards. However, Pacheco battled several injuries during the year, including a broken hand and torn labrum. He hasn't participated in any offseason programs, although there's hope he'll be ready for training camp. While the seventh-round pick will compete with Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon for snaps, he may see more work catching passes out of the backfield, which will mean good things for PPR managers. At any rate, assuming Pacheco is healthy, he has an excellent chance of finishing the 2023-24 campaign as the most productive back in Kansas City by a considerable margin.
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that running back Isiah Pacheco (hand), who had offseason surgeries to fix a broken bone in his hand and a torn labrum he played most of last season with, is doing well. However, there is no timeline for his return to football activities this early after his surgeries. The Chiefs will likely take it slow for the 24-year-old, who really impressed in his rookie campaign in 2022 with 170 carries for 830 yards and five touchdowns while adding 13 receptions for 130 yards in 17 regular season games (11 starts). Barring a setback, Pacheco should be good to go for Week 1. The return of Jerick McKinnon isn't great for Pacheco, but he should still have a sizeable role in one of the best offense's in football in his sophomore season.
Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco played well in Sunday's Super Bowl victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, toting the ball 15 times and finishing with 76 yards and a touchdown. Pacheco's role on this offense grew as the season went along, and he ends the year as the clear No. 1 running back on this team. If he maintains that role through the offseason, he'll be an appealing RB2 option in fantasy drafts next season, though don't discount the possibility that Kansas City adds to its running back room.

Pacheco was the 24th running back to be selected during the 2022 NFL Draft (251st overall). He also failed to exceed a 23% snap share during his first six matchups, as Clyde Edwards-Helaire paced the Chiefs in attempts (59/9.8 per game) and rushing yards (256/42.7 per game). However, Edwards-Helaire's involvement eventually dissipated while Pacheco seized the role of lead rusher in Kansas City's high-powered attack. His relentless running style also fueled a statistical eruption that easily...
