Zach Hyman Remains Out Against Vegas
Edmonton Oilers winger Zach Hyman (undisclosed) will be sidelined for a fifth consecutive game on Tuesday against Vegas. Last Monday, it was announced that Hyman would be able to return in 5-8 days. Tuesday's game comes too soon for him, but we may see him back on the ice in Thursday's matchup against Columbus. Kasperi Kapanen has worked in a first-line role during Hyman's absence. He's recorded one goal and one assist with three shots and 10 hits in the past four games.

Trevor Lewis Ruled Out For 4-6 Weeks
Los Angeles Kings center Trevor Lewis (lower body) will be out of commission for 4-6 weeks. The veteran forward suffered a lower-body injury at the weekend against Ottawa. Lewis has contributed three goals and four assists in limited minutes across 25 appearances. He sits third on the team with 46 hits. Andre Lee has been recalled from the minors and appears poised to replace Lewis in the lineup on Wednesday versus Dallas. Lee also boasts plenty of hits (34 in 16 games) but is limited offensively. He has zero goals and two assists for the campaign.

Filip Hronek To Miss Eight Weeks Of Action
Vancouver Canucks defenseman Filip Hronek (lower body) has been ruled out for eight weeks. He dropped out of the lineup a couple of games ago with an upper-body problem and has now undergone a procedure on a lower-body injury. Hronek has enjoyed a good campaign as part of Vancouver's first defensive pairing, posting nine points (one goal, eight assists) with 21 blocks, 36 hits, and a plus-14 rating. Noah Juulsen has taken over his role, while Vincent Desharnais has rejoined the lineup on the bottom pairing. Losing his regular partner hasn't stopped Quinn Hughes, as he's bagged five points in the two games Hronek has missed.

Chandler Stephenson Returns To Action Tuesday
Seattle Kraken center Chandler Stephenson (illness) will be back in the lineup on Tuesday against Carolina. He missed Saturday's 4-2 loss to San Jose due to an illness. Stephenson is among the Kraken's top scorers with 16 points (two goals, 14 assists) in 24 games. He will center the second line, flanked by Jared McCann and Brandon Tanev. Andre Burakovsky and Daniel Sprong will be scratched for Tuesday's action. Burakovsky went scoreless in 11 of 14 appearances last month and hasn't done much all season, posting nine points (one goal, eight assists) in 25 games. Sprong has recorded one goal with a minus-two rating in six appearances since rejoining the team from Vancouver on Nov. 8.

Ryker Evans Unavailable On Tuesday
Seattle Kraken defenseman Ryker Evans (hand) will miss his first game of the season on Tuesday against Carolina. He exits the lineup after hurting his right hand while blocking a shot in Saturday's 4-2 loss to San Jose. It's been a good campaign for Evans, who is tied for second in scoring on the team with 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) in 25 games. Jamie Oleksiak replaces Evans on the second defensive pairing on Tuesday, with Josh Mahura re-entering the lineup. Both players are limited offensively, but Oleksiak has provided plenty of blocks for fantasy managers, leading the Kraken with 53 blocks in 25 games.

Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov (concussion) will return to action on Tuesday against Seattle. He's missed four games after suffering a concussion. Kochetkov has worked as Carolina's No. 1 for most of the campaign due to Frederik Andersen's (knee) absence. He's sporting a very impressive 10-2-0 record and has registered a 2.42 goals-against average with a .904 save percentage. Kochetkov might be a bit rusty in his return, but he faces a team that's on a three-game losing streak and has won just four of 11 road games.

Patrik Laine Makes Canadiens Debut Tuesday
Montreal Canadiens winger Patrik Laine (knee) will make his first appearance of the season on Tuesday against the Islanders. Laine's debut for the Canadiens has been delayed because of a knee injury he sustained during preseason play. The Finnish forward will start life in Montreal as a member of the second line, skating with Kirby Dach and Juraj Slafkovsky. Considering he hasn't played at all this season and was limited to only 18 outings last term, Laine is somewhat of an unknown quantity. But he's previously had plenty of success in the league, scoring 204 goals and bagging 388 points in 480 career games.

Sergei Bobrovsky Unavailable On Tuesday
Florida Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky (personal) will not suit up for Tuesday's meeting with Pittsburgh. He has not traveled with the team to the game, as Bobrovsky and his wife are expecting a child. The former Vezina Trophy winner has looked shaky at times, logging a 3.04 goals-against average with a .890 save percentage, but he still carries a solid 11-5-1 record. Spencer Knight is expected to fill in for Bobrovsky on Tuesday, with Chris Driedger called up from the minors to dress as the backup. Knight's work has been more efficient in 2024-25 compared to Bobrovsky, as he has allowed 2.31 goals with a .911 save percentage. However, the 23-year-old has a mediocre 4-4-0 record. He impressed with a shutout performance against Carolina in his last start, but Knight hasn't yet won back-to-back starts this season.

Dallas Stars left wing Jamie Benn scored the game-winning goal as the team took down Utah 2-1 on Monday night. Detroit Red Wings right wing Patrick Kane (upper body) will remain out for a fifth consecutive game on Tuesday versus Boston. Red Wings head coach Derek Lalonde hopes to have him available again on Thursday when Detroit faces Ottawa. Kane started the season reasonably well but was stuck in an awful slump before exiting the lineup. Over his last nine appearances, the former MVP has added to his points tally just once. He has produced three goals and seven assists in 20 games for the season. With Kane out for another game, Tyler Motte will continue to skate on the second line.

Detroit Red Wings defenseman Jeff Petry (lower body) is considered day-to-day. The 36-year-old veteran missed Monday's practice and might have to sit out Tuesday's game against Boston. Petry averages nearly 19 minutes of ice time for the Red Wings and has even seen regular power-play time lately, but he's been limited to three assists in 20 games on the offensive front this season, failing to score with 13 efforts on net. Petry's work has included 36 blocks and 27 hits. Albert Johansson, who has one assist through 13 outings, is expected to join the lineup if Petry is a no-go for Tuesday.

Mike Hardman and Nathan Legare were called up from the minors in a corresponding move. Both players are expected to play against the Rangers, but they won't have big roles.

Philippe Myers will step into the lineup as McCabe's replacement, making only his second appearance of the season. Myers has notched 36 points (eight goals, 28 assists) in 159 career outings in the NHL.
