David Rittich To Start Game 4

Los Angeles Kings netminder David Rittich will be between the pipes for Saturday's Game 4 of the team's first-round series against the Edmonton Oilers. Cam Talbot has started the first three games of the series but has been lit up for a 5.30 goals-against average and an .861 save percentage so far. "David's [going to] go," Kings coach Jim Hiller said following the morning skate Sunday. "We feel good about that. I thought Cam did a good job, that's not it. David's played really well for us, played well against Edmonton. We'll give him a go." Rittich was indeed excellent for the Kings this season, posting a 2.15 GAA and a .921 Sv% across 24 games (22 starts).

David Rittich Will Start Against Sharks Thursday

Los Angeles Kings goaltender David Rittich will patrol the crease on Thursday against the San Jose Sharks. This was expected, as Cam Talbot started Wednesday in a 5-2 win over the Seattle Kraken. Rittich has been up and down over his last four appearances, recording two shutouts but allowing four goals against in each of the other two games. That being said, Big Save Dave is an absolute must-start tonight against the league's worst team. Grab him if you need goalie stats.

David Rittich To Start Again On Wednesday

Los Angeles Kings goaltender David Rittich is the likely starter for Wednesday's road game against the Nashville Predators. The veteran has started four of the last six games for the Kings but has just one win in that time as the Kings have dropped 14 of their past 16 games overall. However, the 31-year-old cannot be faulted for his team's woes as Rittich has turned in a stellar 2.09 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage in 10 appearances (eight starts), helping his team earn points in seven of those eight starts this season. He has an up-and-down career in the NHL, mostly with the Calgary Flames, as he owns a career 2.83 GAA and .905 Sv% across 182 regular-season contests. He has also spent time with the Maple Leafs, Predators, and Jets in addition to the Flames and Kings.

David Rittich Starts For Winnipeg Monday

Winnipeg Jets goaltender David Rittich will be the man between the pipes in Monday's matchup against the Sharks. Connor Hellebuyck started both games in a back-to-back against Edmonton to finish off last week and the Jets No. 1 is now getting much-needed rest on Monday. Rittich has dropped both of his last two starts, but he's had a decent season with a 9-6-0 record. Rittich's goals-against average stands at 2.55 and he has produced a .908 save percentage. With San Jose among the worst teams in the league, Rittich should get back to winning ways Monday.

David Rittich Makes Another Start Thursday

Winnipeg Jets goaltender David Rittich will receive a second consecutive start Thursday versus Columbus. He filled in for Connor Hellebuyck Tuesday when the Jets No. 1 wasn't feeling well, and even with Hellebuyck now healthy again, Rittich will get another opportunity against the Blue Jackets. He beat Seattle 3-2 in a shootout with 27 saves Tuesday to improve his record to 9-4-0. It's been a good season for Rittich in Winnipeg, as he has given up 2.52 goals per game with a .911 save percentage. Columbus has the second-worst scoring record in the league, which means that Rittich has a very good chance to get to double figures in wins Thursday.

David Rittich Gets The Nod Sunday Against Vancouver

Winnipeg Jets goalie David Rittich will be the starter on Sunday against the Canucks. Rittich last played a while ago, and his last appearance was on December 23rd. In nine outings, the 30-year-old record is 5-4-0 with a 2.61 goals-against-average and a .906 save percentage. He's yet to play against Vancouver this season, and Rittich serves as a backup to Connor Hellebuyck, who's appeared in 30 of 39 contests for Winnipeg. Unless Hellebuyck gets injured, David Rittich doesn't play a factor in fantasy.

David Rittich Makes A Rare Start

Nashville Predators goaltender David Rittich will log only his fifth start of the campaign on Thursday against Columbus. The Predators have been riding Juuse Saros hard all season, but they are finishing off a back-to-back set here and it's given Rittich an opportunity to make an impact. He's won both of his last two starts, improving to 3-1-0 for the season. Rittich has allowed 3.10 goals per game with a .880 save percentage ahead of Thursday's action. Columbus has done well at home, but Nashville has been hot lately, so Rittich's chances of a third consecutive victory seem pretty decent.

David Rittich Starts For Second Time This Season Saturday

Nashville Predators backup goaltender David Rittich will start on Saturday versus the Colorado Avalanche. This is his third appearance and second start for Nashville. He is 1-0 on the season with a 1.98 goals-against-average and a .933 save percentage. Overall, Rittich has stopped 42 of 45 shots on the year so far. Colorado will be starting Jonas Johansson in goal so Nashville and Rittich may have a decent shot at a road victory on Saturday night. Neither team will be rested so Rittich will have to be on his toes from the beginning.

David Rittich Stands Tall In Nashville Win Thursday

Nashville Predators goalie David Rittich had a rough first 20 minutes on Thursday, allowing two goals. He stood firm and yielded just one goal the rest of the way. His 33 stops helped Nashville ultimately win 4-3 in overtime over the St. Louis Blues. Rittich stopped several point-blank chances late in the game to keep it tied to head into overtime. It was the type of game that Nashville usually plays on the road. Big Save Dave was able to get the win in the end.

David Rittich Makes Third Appearance For Leafs

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender David Rittich will make his third appearance for the team in Tuesday's road outing at Vancouver. He's winless thus far in one start and one relief appearance, allowing four goals on 45 shots. The Canucks have just returned from a lengthy COVID-19 break, but they shocked Toronto with a 3-2 overtime victory in their comeback game on Sunday, so this could another unpleasant experience for Rittich, who spent the start of the season with Calgary. He has a 4-7-2 record for the campaign with a 2.82 goals-against average, a .905 save percentage and one shutout.

David Rittich Gets A Revenge Game In Leafs Debut

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender David Rittich will make his team debut on Tuesday against his former side, the Calgary Flames. The Czech netminder spent three and a half seasons as a member of the Flames before getting traded on Monday for a third-round draft pick. He was 4-7-1 with the Flames this season before making the switch. Toronto needed extra help in the crease with Frederik Andersen (lower body) remaining without a timetable for a return. The Leafs have dominated the series against Calgary this season with six wins in eight games, so everything looks nicely set up for Rittich to make a winning start for his new team.

David Rittich Starts Versus Toronto On Sunday

Calgary Flames goaltender David Rittich will be the team's starter in Sunday's home game against Toronto. He enters the contest with a 4-6-1 record and has registered a 2.79 goals-against average with a .907 save percentage and one shutout. Rittich has beaten the Leafs only once in three outings this season, but he does own a superb 1.35 goals-against average in the matchup with a .962 save percentage. Toronto has been left frustrated by him, but Rittich will be riding with a team that has just one win in seven games, while the opposition boasts five wins in six games, so it's a tough task for the Czech netminder.

David Rittich Continues In Calgary's Crease

Calgary Flames goaltender David Rittich will post a sixth consecutive start in Thursday's matchup against Ottawa. Jacob Markstrom (upper body) has been close to returning but still isn't ready. Rittich started his stint as the temporary No. 1 with a 34-save shutout against Toronto, but he has lost three of four starts since then, including on Monday against the Senators, when he allowed four goals on 34 shots in a 5-1 loss. Rittich's record stands at 2-5-1 for the season and carries a 2.92 goals-against average with a .903 save percentage. Vegas has the Flames as a big favorite for the clash, but it was the same on Monday and the Senators have done well lately, so starting Rittich will be a risk

David Rittich Makes Another Start Monday Night

Calgary Flames goaltender David Rittich will make a fifth consecutive start on Monday against Ottawa, with Jacob Markstrom (upper body) still a way off from returning. Rittich beat the Senators with a 31-save performance at the weekend in a 6-3 victory, to improve his record for the year to 2-4-1. He carries a 2.77 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage. Ottawa has improved lately but has a league-worst 3.96 goals-against average, so Calgary's offense should carry Rittich to victory if he doesn't end up having a complete nightmare.

David Rittich Shuts Out Leafs On Monday

Calgary Flames goaltender David Rittich earned his first shutout along with first victory as his team blanked the high-powered Toronto Maple Leafs 3-0 on Monday. The 28-year-old, making just his fourth start of the season, stopped all 34 shots that came his way in the contest. Making a surprise appearance with starter Jacob Markstrom out due to injury, Rittich filled in quite nicely for a Flames team that had previously lost three straight. With Markstrom apparently out for multiple starts, Rittich (8% owned in Yahoo leagues) could be a nice pickup for fantasy managers in need of goaltending help.

David Rittich Makes First Appearance Of The Season

Calgary Flames goaltender David Rittich will make his season debut in Thursday's matchup against Carey Price and the Canadiens. The Czech netminder had an up-and-down season in 2019-20, finishing with a 24-17-6 record, a 2.97 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage with two shutouts. It's not a great spot for him to make his season debut, as the Flames have dropped five straight games in the matchup and Price has kicked off his season with a four-game point streak. Rittich has produced one win in four previous career appearances against Montreal with a 2.75 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage.
