Josh Anderson Back In Action Saturday

Montreal Canadiens winger Josh Anderson (lower body) will return to the lineup Saturday versus Boston. He makes his return after sitting out the past four games. Anderson is expected to join Jake Evans and Brendan Gallagher on the second line, and he should also get some power-play time as a member of the second unit. The 31-year-old is in desperate need of a jolt offensively, having recorded only seven goals and 12 points in 41 games. Jesse Ylonen will make room for Anderson in the lineup.

Josh Anderson Won't Play On Saturday

Montreal Canadiens right wing Josh Anderson will miss Saturday's contest against Edmonton. The 29-year-old has played in all 41 games this season so far, but it has been a very rough campaign for him. Anderson has had three separate point droughts of at least six games, and he's managed only seven goals and five assists in total. Rafael Harvey-Pinard will fill in for Anderson on the second line in Saturday's game. His season hasn't gone too well either, as Harvey-Pinard sits goalless through 14 appearances with four assists.

Josh Anderson Good To Go On Thursday

Montreal Canadiens right wing Josh Anderson (knee) will play Thursday versus Buffalo. Anderson hurt his right knee against Dallas on Tuesday and couldn't finish the game, but he luckily avoided a major injury. Anderson should assume his normal duties on the second line. With only six goals and five assists posted in 37 games this season, Anderson has been ineffective for large parts of 2023-24, but he's guaranteed to have a big role due to the team's injury crisis in the attack.

Josh Anderson Suffers Leg Injury

Montreal Canadiens right wing Josh Anderson injured his right leg in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over Dallas. He exited the contest late in the third period. Anderson had his third straight game without a point. He's struggled to make an offensive impact all season long, collecting six of his 11 points over a five-game stretch right before the Christmas break. Entering Tuesday's action, the Canadiens were already without five regular forwards, so the frontline has taken a terrible beating by injuries this season.

Josh Anderson Out On Thursday

Montreal Canadiens right wing Josh Anderson (lower body) hasn't joined the team for Thursday's trip to Boston and will miss his third game of the season. The 28-year-old was injured in Tuesday's contest against Tampa Bay. Mike Hoffman is set to move into the top six in Anderson's absence. The veteran has had an underwhelming season with 12 goals and 17 assists in 57 games, but his fantasy value should get a brief boost, with Hoffman slated to skate with Nick Suzuki and Rafael Harvey-Pinard.

Josh Anderson Gets Hurt Tuesday

Montreal Canadiens right wing Josh Anderson suffered a lower-body injury late in Tuesday's contest against Tampa Bay. He was hurt when Tampa's defenseman Mikhail Sergachev pushed him into the empty net. The team announced that Anderson will undergo further tests on Wednesday and won't be among the traveling party for Thursday's visit to Boston. The 28-year-old has had a decent campaign on a bad team with 21 goals, 32 points and 139 hits in 69 outings. He's been skating on the second line with some very good results lately, as Anderson entered Tuesday's action having averaged a point per game across his previous six appearances.

Josh Anderson Receives A Two-Game Suspension

Montreal Canadiens right wing Josh Anderson has been suspended for two games for boarding Vegas' Alex Pietrangelo in Saturday's 6-4 loss. He will be unavailable for Tuesday's visit to Detroit and Thursday's home game against Vancouver. Anderson hasn't done a lot this season, registering three goals and two assists, but he is still tied for the fifth-most points on the team and Montreal would obviously rather have him available. Anderson's suspension should help Rem Pitlick to get back into the lineup, and his absence also opens up a spot on the second power-play unit.

Josh Anderson Nets First Career Hat Trick Tuesday

Montreal Canadiens winger Josh Anderson collected his first NHL hat trick in an 8-4 loss to Winnipeg Tuesday. Anderson's goals came in the first and second periods. He now has 15 markers and nine assists in 42 Habs contests this season. The 27-year-old has seven points in his last five games played. Despite having a solid outing against Winnipeg, Anderson shouldn't be a fantasy waiver wire consideration at this time.

Josh Anderson Gets Injured Thursday Night, Out Multiple Weeks

Montreal Canadiens right wing Josh Anderson sustained an upper-body injury in Thursday's loss to Colorado and will be out for two to four weeks. He managed to log just 10 shifts and played 7:20 in the game. The 27-year-old is Montreal's leading goal-scorer this season with seven markers, and he's collected 13 points in total across 25 games. Anderson's injury leaves a spot open on the second line and Cole Caufield should have a good opportunity to move up in the lineup. The youngster grabbed his fourth point of the campaign on Thursday with an assist.

Josh Anderson Compiles Three Points In Canadiens Win

Montreal Canadiens winger Josh Anderson scored two goals and added a helper to defeat the Penguins 6-3 Saturday. Besides adding three points, Anderson posted six shots on goal bringing up his season total to 59. With producing two goals and an assist Saturday, Anderson now has seven goals and six assists in 23 games. Unfortunately, Anderson doesn't play much of a factor in fantasy hockey, as he is rostered in just 24% of Yahoo leagues while skating on a struggling team.

Josh Anderson Buries Two Goals In Victory

Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson recorded a pair of goals as his team clipped the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 on Wednesday night. The 26-year-old did what his fantasy owners are accustomed to and filled the scoresheet in his 16:03 of ice time in the contest - producing a plus-two rating, five shots and three hits. Despite battling consistency issues in his debut season in Montreal, Anderson has been a must-own fantasy asset in 2020-2021 with 24 points (17 goals, seven assists), 36 penalty minutes, 104 shots and 102 hits in 41 games. With the Canadiens set to play three games over the next five days, the power forward should remain in starting fantasy lineups.

Josh Anderson Tallies Twice In Saturday's Loss

Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson collected a pair of goals in his team's 6-3 loss to the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night. The 26-year-old also recorded a plus-two rating, three shots, one block and one hit in the contest. Saturday's performance could be huge for the power forward who has had a truly up-and-down debut season in Montreal in 2020-2021. After posting nine goals in his first 13 contests, Anderson has gone cold with just four tallies over his past 18 tilts - leaving him with 18 points (13 goals, five assists), 32 penalty minutes, 80 shots and 82 hits in 31 games. Fantasy owners are hoping he can get hot once again down the stretch and provide solid point production in addition to his consistently strong peripheral stats. The Habs will be back in action versus the Oilers on Monday.

Josh Anderson Scores Game-Winner On Saturday

Montreal Canadiens right wing Josh Anderson scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Ottawa, reaching eight markers for the season. Jeff Petry also found the net to continue his successful start to the season. Anderson had only one goal in 26 appearances for Columbus last season, so it's a nice feel-good story with him in Montreal. Three of his markers have been game-winners and he's added two assists, 37 shots, and 27 hits to his tally. Make sure he isn't floating around the waiver wire in your league, as Anderson is among the NHL's top goal-scorers at the moment.

Josh Anderson Adds Two More Goals To Ledger

Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson deposited a pair of goals to help bring his team a 5-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday. The 26-year-old had a game his fantasy owners have come to expect early on in 2020-2021, also posting a plus-one rating, two penalty minutes, four shots and three hits in 15:20 of ice time in the victory. It's been an excellent start for Anderson in his debut season in Montreal, highlighted by his six goals in just 10 contests. He's still somehow just 62% owned in Yahoo! leagues so fantasy owners should pounce on adding the talented power forward as that number continues to rise. He'll lace up the skates next in a favorable matchup versus the Senators on Thursday.

Josh Anderson To Play Versus Vancouver On Monday

Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson (illness) will suit up on the right wing as his team takes on the Vancouver Canucks on Monday night. The 26-year-old departed after the first period of Saturday's loss to the Calgary Flames due to flu-like symptoms. Anderson has since tested negative for COVI-19, and as a result, he will re-join the Canadiens top line with forwards Nick Suzuki and Jonathan Drouin. Acquired in a trade from Columbus over the offseason, Anderson is off to a nice start in Montreal with five points (four goals, one assist), a plus-three rating, 24 shots and 16 hits. Fantasy managers would be wise to put him back into their fantasy lineups.

Josh Anderson Scores Twice In Canadiens Debut

Montreal Canadiens right wing Josh Anderson scored two goals in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. He added seven shots, three hits, and two penalty minutes in 17:17 of ice time. Anderson only suited up for 26 games last season, but he had shown his effectiveness as a power forward in the past. He is a must-grab player in banger formats if he is still sitting on the waiver wire as his line looked dominant at times.
