Utah Mammoth goaltender Karel Vejmelka saved 26 of 28 shots in Friday's 4-2 win over the St. Louis Blues, improving to 20-11-2 for the season. Impressively, he became the first goalie this season to reach 20 wins. His recent form has been a major factor in Vejmelka reaching that milestone first, as he has gone 8-2-0 since Dec. 12. In 2026, Vejmelka has allowed only 11 goals across five starts. The 29-year-old has posted a 2.63 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage for the season, picking up one shutout. Vejmelka's fantasy stock is on the rise and could improve further in upcoming games against Eastern Conference strugglers Columbus and Toronto.

The move is retroactive to Dec. 23, so Vejmelka will be eligible to return to the lineup for Utah's next game on Thursday against the New York Islanders. Karel Vejmelka Battling Upper-Body Injury

Utah Mammoth goaltender Karel Vejmelka (upper body) missed a scheduled start on Tuesday night against the Colorado Avalanche. He was sidelined by an upper-body injury, prompting the team to sign Colten McIntyre to an amateur tryout agreement as a backup to Vitek Vanecek for the night. Vanecek had a strong performance, stopping 25 of 26 shots, but Utah still lost to the dominant Avalanche 1-0. The Mammoth have the rest of the week off, giving Vejmelka time to recover. Karel Vejmelka Is In Starter's Cage For Arizona Saturday

Arizona goaltender Karel Vejmelka starts for the Arizona Coyotes against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday night. The good news is that Vejmelka faces a Flyers team that just played in Vegas on Friday. The bad news is that the goaltender is trying to pick up the pieces from his last start. Vejmelka gave up seven goals on 32 shots in a 7-1 rout at the hands of the Vegas Golden Knights. This was after stopping 83 of 84 shots in two wins and Vejmelka's first ever NHL shutout. It is a prime chance for the Czech goalie to bounce back and earn his third win of the season.
