Mikhail Sergachev Practices In Regular Jersey Saturday

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev practiced in a regular jersey for the first time on Saturday after suffering a gruesome leg injury on Feb. 7 against the New York Rangers. The Russian blueliner underwent surgery the following day to stabilize fractures in his left tibia and fibula and resumed skating on March 18. He has been practicing in a noncontact jersey since April 8. However, he is not expected to play in the team's first-round series against the rival Florida Panthers. For the season, Sergachev notched two goals and 19 points across 34 games on the campaign after tallying a career-high 64 points in 79 games last season.

Mikhail Sergachev Skates In Non-Contact Jersey Monday

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev (leg) skated with the team in a non-contact jersey at practice on Monday. It was the first time the Russian has skated with his teammates after suffering a gruesome leg injury on Feb. 8 against the New York Rangers. Sergachev's leg got caught underneath him in an awkward fall, leaving him with fractures to his left tibia and fibula that required surgery. He will miss the remainder of the regular season, and his playoff availability is unclear at this time. The two-time Stanley Cup champion recorded two goals and 19 points across 34 games this season while averaging 22:33 of ice time per game.

Mikhail Sergachev Skates On Monday

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev skated for the first time since suffering a season-ending leg injury on Monday. The 25-year-old suffered his injury in a Feb. 8 contest against the New York Rangers and will not return this season. Sergachev skated in a track suit. "Great to be back on the ice," the Russian said in an Instagram post on Monday. He has tallied two goals and 19 points across 34 games on the season, one year after breaking out with 10 goals and a career-high 64 points across 79 games in the 2022-23 campaign. The Lightning currently sit in the first Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference with a 36-25-6 record on the season.

Mikhail Sergachev Suffers Serious Leg Injury

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev suffered a serious leg injury in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Rangers. Playing in his first game since Dec. 19, Sergachev hurt his left leg with seven minutes played in the second period. He had to be stretchered off the ice, and Sergachev appeared to be in tears as he exited the game. The full severity of the injury isn't yet known, but it looked bad, and unfortunately, it seems like Sergachev is facing another lengthy absence. He has been limited to 34 outings this season, registering 19 points (two goals, 17 assists).

Mikhail Sergachev Out On Thursday

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev (lower body) won't play on Thursday against the Golden Knights. The Russian blue-liner has to skip a clash against the reigning Stanley Cup champions due to a lower-body injury sustained in the previous game versus St. Louis. He is expected to return after one or two games, so luckily for the Lightning, Sergachev doesn't appear to be dealing with anything too serious. Having averaged nearly 23 minutes of ice time for the season, Mikhail Sergachev plays a massive role on the Lightning blue line and has been effective on both sides of the puck. His work includes 19 points (two goals, 17 assists), 30 hits, and 69 blocks in 33 games this season. Calvin de Haan will take his spot in the lineup on Thursday, with everybody at the back expected to do a bit extra to compensate for Sergachev's absence.

Mikhail Sergachev Hurt In Tuesday's Win

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev suffered a lower-body injury in Tuesday's 6-1 win over St. Louis. He exited the game in the first period after blocking a shot from Colton Parayko. Only Victor Hedman averages more minutes among the Lightning skaters, and Sergachev's absence will definitely be felt if he has to take some time off. Calvin de Haan could be his replacement in the lineup on Thursday versus Vegas, while the likes of Darren Raddysh will be expected to do a bit more for the team. Raddysh already has some fantasy appeal as a regular on Tampa Bay's power play.

Sergachev has had a big campaign with 50 points, 149 shots on goal, 122 hits and 148 blocked shots in 77 games. He's set to skate with Darren Raddysh on the second defensive pairing, while also rejoining the first power-play unit.

Mikhail Sergachev Won't Play Saturday

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev (personal) will come out of the lineup Saturday against the Senators. He's expecting the birth of his first child and has gone back home, while the team completes a three-game road trip in Ottawa. The Russian rearguard has enjoyed a career year in 2022-23 with 60 points in 77 games. He's notched 26 points as a member of the first power-play unit. Victor Hedman will take over the spot Saturday and Nick Perbix will get a chance to work with the second unit.

Mikhail Sergachev Game-Ready Again

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev (upper body) is ready to return to the lineup Tuesday against Toronto. He came out of the lineup a week ago, with head coach Jon Cooper saying that Sergachev is a little banged up, and the Russian rearguard ended up missing two games. The 24-year-old has put in immense work for the Lightning this season, posting 27 points in 28 games with 48 shots, 35 hits and 59 blocks. His return will lead to Cal Foote's exit from the lineup.

Mikhail Sergachev In Doubt For Thursday

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev is banged up and might not play Thursday versus Columbus, according to head coach Jon Cooper. The Russian rearguard has yet to miss any games this season, and he should be desperate to keep his ironman streak going, but the team will definitely be looking at a longer perspective and might elect to keep him out of action. Sergachev has been a beast on the Tampa blue line all season with 27 points, 48 shots, 35 hits and 59 blocks in 28 games. His absence would open a spot on the second power-play unit, and Nick Perbix and Cal Foote will be competing for bigger minutes.

Mikhail Sergachev Explodes For A Four-Point Period

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev had the game of his life Sunday against Washington, opening a 6-3 victory with a four-point first period. He became the first blue-liner in franchise history to rack up as many as four points in the first 20 minutes of action. With the effort, Sergachev also matched the NHL record for most points in any period by a defenseman. The 24-year-old posted two goals and two assists, grabbing half of the points with the man advantage. Sergachev is playing a much bigger role for Tampa this season and is on his way to having a career year. He hasn't yet managed more than 40 points in a single campaign but is already on 14 points with 15 games played in 2022-23.

Mikhail Sergachev Expected To Be Fine For Season Opener

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev (undisclosed) won't play in Saturday's preseason game against Florida but should be available for next week's season opener. The Russian blue-liner left Thursday's preseason action against the Panthers with an undisclosed injury and it put his status for the first regular-season game of the year in doubt, but Lightning head coach Jon Cooper has delivered good news by noting that Sergachev should be fine for Tuesday's clash with the Rangers. The 24-year-old is set for a significantly bigger role in 2022-23 and should be scooped up in most fantasy leagues.

Mikhail Sergachev Has Two-Point Night In Game 5

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev collected two points in Thursday's Game 5 victory over the Rangers. He scored the team's first goal 17:34 into the second period and posted an assist 1:50 from the end of regulation as Ondrej Palat netted the game-winning goal. The Russian blue-liner ended a five-game pointless streak with the effort. Having picked up six points this postseason, Sergachev has kept himself in the background offensively, but he has been doing plenty of dirty work, recording 22 blocks and 29 hits in 16 games.

Mikhail Sergachev Collects Three Points Against Chicago

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev posted his first three-point game of the season on Sunday, scoring a goal and logging two assists in a 6-3 win over Chicago. He was also part of a historic stretch in the third period when Tampa scored with three straight shots inside 32 seconds, which marks the fastest three goals scored in franchise history. The 23-year-old has found his scoring stick lately, getting three goals over the last four games. He hadn't scored since October before starting the run. Sitting on 31 points, Sergachev is well on his way to setting his new scoring record this season. His career-high currently stands at 40 points, which he achieved during his rookie campaign in 2017-18.

Mikhail Sergachev Logs Three Helpers On Tuesday

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev registered a trio of assists en route to his team picking up a 6-1 victory over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night. The 22-year-old played 20:01 in the blowout, also contributing a plus-three rating, four shots and two hits. Looking to take his offensive game to a new level in 2020-2021, Sergachev has fired off nine assists, a plus-10 rating, 21 shots and 15 hits through his first 11 contests. The Russian rearguard still remains owned in just 77% in Yahoo! fantasy leagues, which is surprising given how well-rounded his production has been through the first month of the season. He'll be back in action versus the Florida Panthers on Thursday.

Mikhail Sergachev Adds Two Helpers Against Predators

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev had two assists in a 4-3 victory over the Nashville Predators on Saturday night. One of his assists came on Callan Foote's first goal of his NHL career. Despite playing on the team's second power-play unit, Sergachev only has three assists in six Tampa Bay contests. Look for the Russian defenseman to turn his season around as he had 34 points in 70 games last season. Tampa Bay sits tied for second in the Discover Central division with nine points and will host Nashville again on Monday.
