Arizona Coyotes left wing Michael Carcone kept his hot goal-scoring form going in Monday's meeting with Buffalo, posting his first career short-handed tally in a 5-2 loss. The 27-year-old now has four goals through five appearances this month and leads the league with eight markers since Nov. 22. He's been incredibly effective in a limited role, as Carcone has gotten past the 14-minute mark just once in nine games during his scoring streak. In 26 outings, Carcone has posted 14 tallies for the entire campaign, which impressively puts him tied for 12th on the league's goals list.
Arizona Coyotes left wing Michael Carcone potted two goals as the team took down Tampa Bay 3-1 Tuesday night. The 27-year-old opened and finished the scoring, reaching nine tallies for the year. Only Lawson Crouse (10) has scored more often for the Coyotes this season. Carcone's form has been very impressive, considering he's averaged less than 11 minutes a night. In the limited action, he's also produced three assists across 20 games. Carcone is playing well, but he's definitely not somebody fantasy managers can rely on for consistent offense.
Michael Carcone Pops Up With Hat Trick Versus Chicago
Arizona Coyotes left wing Michael Carcone had the game of his life Monday versus Chicago, scoring his first career hat trick and erupting for four points in an 8-1 win. Blackhawks phenom Connor Bedard opened the scoring less than 30 seconds into the game, but Michael Carcone answered quickly and already had three goals in the bag five minutes into the second frame. He struck once on the power play. Carcone's four-point night included an assist on a Sean Durzi goal. This was a monster performance from Carcone, but fantasy managers can't expect him to repeat it, as the 27-year-old hasn't even averaged 10 minutes per game for the season, and he had tallied only two points with his previous six appearances in 2023-24.
