Anthony Beauvillier News
The Nashville Predators have acquired forward Anthony Beauvillier from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a 2024 fifth-round draft pick. The middle-six forward was traded by the Islanders to the Vancouver Canucks prior to the 2023 trade deadline as part of a package for Bo Horvat before landing with the Blackhawks from the Canucks in exchange for a conditional 2024 fifth-round pick in November. After putting forth solid production for the Islanders in parts of eight seasons, the 26-year-old's production has dipped as he posted two goals and eight points with Vancouver in 22 games this season before recording two goals and six points in another 23 games with the Blackhawks. The Predators currently occupy the second and final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, six points up on the St. Louis Blues.
Chicago Blackhawks winger Anthony Beauvillier sustained an upper-body injury in Tuesday's 3-0 loss to Nashville. He left in the second period after absorbing a hit from Predators forward Filip Forsberg. After the game, Beauvillier was seen wearing a brace/cast on his left wrist/arm. The 26-year-old skated in his 15th game as a Blackhawk. He's had two goals and four assists with the team. Chicago has suffered multiple injuries up front lately, and it looks like Beauvillier will now also be sidelined.
The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired left wing Anthony Beauvillier from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. Beauvillier appeared in 22 games for the Canucks this season, while scoring only two goals and adding six assists. The 26-year-old was acquired by the Canucks in the deal that sent center Bo Horvat to the Islanders ahead of the trade deadline last season. Beauvillier can become an unrestricted free agent after this season, while his fantasy value is limited to deeper formats.
Vancouver Canucks left wing Anthony Beauvillier finished with two goals and one assist in Monday's 5-4 overtime victory against the Stars. The 25-year-old scored his first goal less than four minutes into the game and found the back of the net again midway through the second frame to give his team a two-goal advantage at the time. Beauvillier has played well since the trade and should be rostered in deeper fantasy formats as a result of his production, as he has totaled six goals and five assists through 11 games on the Canucks top line with center Elias Pettersson and wing Andrei Kuzmenko.
