Los Angeles Angels shortstop prospect Arol Vera went 2-for-5 on Friday evening with his first round-tripper of the 2024 campaign. Vera has struggled through his first extended look at Double-A ball this season with a poor .174/.232/.241 line. Friday was his first multi-hit performance of the month and first since May 30. Vera got a brief taste of Double-A last summer and looked much better across a small 14-game sample size after posting a .231/.287/.297 line with High-A during the majority of the campaign. The 21-year-old infielder will have to find more consistency and will likely remain with Double-A for at least the remainder of this season.
