Manager Phil Nevin said he took Schanuel out because his knee was tightening up on him and Nevin said he noticed the rookie was limping a little bit. The Angels will re-evaluate him on Tuesday to see if he can play. Injury aside, the 21-year-old extended his on-base streak to 27 games to begin his major-league career, which is the fourth-longest streak to begin a career. Before leaving, Schanuel went 1-for-3 with a double and two strikeouts and is now hitting an impressive .284 with a .750 OPS, one home run and five RBI in his first 27 big-league games.
