This was another good performance for the 22-year-old, as he has only gone hitless three times across his past 13 games. In this stretch, he has tallied five extra-base hits, with one of them leaving the yard. Buelvas moved up to Double-A on July 19 and has tallied 13 total hits across the 15-game stretch. Earlier this season at High-A, the outfielder posted a .272 AVG through 80 games at High-A. Buelvas is currently ranked as the 30th-best prospect in the Oakland system on MLB.com and could spend most of the next summer at Triple-A Las Vegas.

He's drawing more walks and fewer strikeouts, working deeper into counts, and has tapped into a rare blend of power and speed. He's nearly as polished in the field, possessing just enough range and arm strength that the Athletics can feel comfortable playing him in left, right, or center. Last week was highly successful for Buelvas as he went 10-for-26 with one homer, three doubles, and six RBI. He also drew four walks, struck out four times, and went 5-for-5 stealing bases. The outfielder's development into an advanced hitter was on display last week, and it's very likely that we see him shipped back up to Double-A by season's end.
