Brock Wilken Activated from Injured List at Double-A

Milwaukee Brewers third base prospect Brock Wilken (knee) was activated from the Double-A Biloxi 7-day injured list on Tuesday. The Brewers' 17th-ranked prospect was recovering from a dislocated patella tendon in his left knee and has not played in a game since June 18. The 23-year-old was hitting just .230 on the season, but had hit safely in 11 of his last 13 games before the injury, going 17-for-50 (.340) with nine doubles and six home runs (.880 SLG) during that stretch. With 18 home runs in 65 games, the former first-rounder has big-time power, and although it comes with an elevated strikeout rate, he's been able to offset that with a career 15.9 percent walk rate in the minors (20.1 percent in 2025). He'll make a push toward Triple-A over the remainder of the season and into next, and should be in line for a major league debut next year.

Brock Wilken Out 8-10 Weeks With Dislocated Knee

Milwaukee Brewers third base prospect Brock Wilken (knee) is facing an eight- to 10-week recovery timeline after suffering a dislocated left patella when he was injured last week while celebrating Double-A Biloxi's first-half championship, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Todd Rosiak. Wilken and the Brewers have agreed on a non-surgical route, but he will not be back in action on the farm until late in the second half of the minor-league season. The 23-year-old former 18th overall pick in 2023 out of Wake Forest is considered the team's No. 18 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and was hitting .230 (51-for-222) with 18 home runs, 41 RBI, 42 runs and two steals in 65 games for Biloxi before his serious knee injury. With his 6-foot-4, 225-pound frame, Wilken provides plenty of raw power for a corner infielder, but he's unlikely to make his MLB debut until next year, especially after this injury.

Brock Wilken Continues To Find Footing At Double-A

Milwaukee Brewers third base prospect Brock WIlken has continued to turn the corner at Double-A. In his past seven games, the Wake Forest product has held a strong .321/.406/.607 slash line with two doubles, two home runs, six RBI, and a 4:5 BB:K ratio. Since July 1, the former first-round selection has posted a .256/.374/.500 line with a 17:17 BB:K ratio. This is a great sign, as he hit a mere .222 AVG through the first two months of the campaign. Wilken could earn a brief taste of Triple-A ball later this summer if he continues to stay hot in the batter's box, which could open the door for a 2025 major league debut.

Brock Wilken Goes Deep Twice On Thursday

Milwaukee Brewers third base prospect Brock WIlken went 2-for-5 with two long balls on Thursday evening. This performance extended his current hitting streak to three games and was his second and third home runs of the week. Since June 29, the former first-round selection has begun to find his footing in the batter's box with a .256/.396/.590 line with 10 RBI, and an 8:7 BB:K ratio. However, through 60 total games at Double-A this summer, he sits with a mediocre .230/.323/.429 line. The infielder should contend for a major league debut next summer and might earn a small taste of Triple-A in August if he continues to carry this momentum through July.

Brock Wilken Returns From Facial Fractures

Milwaukee Brewers third base prospect Brock WIlken (facial) recently returned from an early-season facial fracture injury this past week. Earlier in April, Wilken took a fastball to the face but thankfully did not suffer any loss of vision or concussion as a result. The 21-year-old returned to Double-A on May 4 and tallied a double. Wilken, who was a first-round selection in the 2023 MLB Draft, has not logged many games in the minor leagues but hopes to get himself back on track now that he is fully healthy. Wilken showcased his raw power potential in a limited opportunity with Double-A last season by launching two long balls in just six games. The sixth-ranked prospect in the Milwaukee system should be expected to reach the major leagues sometime next season.
