Jacob Misiorowski Strikes Out 12 on Monday, Becomes First Pitcher to 100 K's

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski had yet another dominant outing in Monday's 5-1 win over the visiting St. Louis Cardinals at American Family Field. Misiorowski allowed only one earned run on two hits while walking one and striking out a season-high 12 in seven innings to win his fifth game of the year and lower his season ERA to 1.83. The run that the 24-year-old flamethrower allowed was the first that he has given up so far in May. It's hard to come up with new words for the dominant young starting pitcher. After Monday's dominant outing, the Miz has 49 strikeouts and only six walks in 31 1/3 innings in May, and he has a 1.83 ERA and 100:19 K:BB in 64 total innings pitched in 2026. He is the real deal and has the most strikeout upside of any starter in baseball because of how hard he throws (99.7 mph average fastball velocity). Misiorowski has had at least eight strikeouts in each of his last seven starts, and he's reached double digits in K's in three of those outings. Obviously, he is a must-start every time he toes the rubber for the Brewers.

Jacob Misiorowski Expected to Start on Tuesday

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski (quad) is listed as the probable starter for Tuesday's game against the Chicago Cubs. This is great news for fantasy managers after Misiorowski was forced to exit his last start due to quad tightness. It sounds like Misiorowski will be ready in time for his next start. This has been an ongoing issue for the right-hander, but it hasn't impacted his performance on the mound. The right-hander holds a 2.12 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, and a 80:17 K:BB ratio across nine starts this season. Fantasy managers should feel comfortable plugging Misiorowski into their lineups ahead of Tuesday's start.

Jacob Misiorowski Pulled Early With Possible Leg Injury

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski (leg) had another fantastic outing on Wednesday at home against the visiting San Diego Padres, but he was removed before the start of the eighth inning when something happened when he started to warm up, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. Head athletic trainer Brad Epstein and manager Pat Murphy visited the Miz before pulling him from the game. For what it's worth, McCalvy noted that Misiorowski and Murphy were both smiling during their conversation, and it appears the move to pull him after seven full innings was purely a precaution. It's worth noting that the hard-throwing 24-year-old was pulled from a start a few weeks ago with a leg cramp, so perhaps that's what he was dealing with again on Wednesday. Misiorowski threw seven shutout innings with four hits allowed, no walks, and 10 K's in a no-decision after reliever Abner Uribe blew the save in the ninth inning. He now has a 2.12 ERA on the year and has back-to-back outings with 10 strikeouts. Misiorowski has some of the most electric stuff of any pitcher in baseball. Hopefully, his leg injury won't keep him from taking his next turn in Milwaukee's starting rotation. UPDATE: Misiorowski was diagnosed with a quadriceps cramp.

Jacob Misiorowski Steals the Show Against Yankees, Fans 11

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski didn't show any signs of being hindered by his hamstring after being pulled early from his last start in the team's 6-0 shutout win over the visiting New York Yankees on Friday night. Misiorowski showed why he's one of the most dominant young arms in baseball with six shutout innings to earn his third victory of the year while dropping his season ERA to 2.45. The Miz allowed just two hits, walked two, and tied a season high with 11 strikeouts. The 24-year-old hard-throwing right-hander was bringing the cheese, nearly hitting 104 mph on the radar gun with his fastball in the first inning at American Family Field. Forty-one of Misiorowski's 95 pitches on the night registered in triple digits, making it look easy against one of the best offenses in the league. After the dominant performance, he now holds a 2.45 ERA with 70 strikeouts and 17 walks in his 44 innings pitched across eight starts. Misiorowski has quickly become a must-start fantasy ace in his first full year in the bigs.

Jacob Misiorowski Listed as Friday's Probable Starter

The Milwaukee Brewers have listed right-hander Jacob Misiorowski (hamstring) as their probable starter for Friday's series opener against the New York Yankees, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. The Brewers pulled the hard-throwing youngster early from his last outing on Friday against the Washington Nationals as a precaution with a hamstring cramp, but he has responded well this week and looks ready to roll to kick off the weekend against the visiting Yankees. The Miz most likely would have taken the mound on Wednesday, but a rainout between the Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday has pushed the team's starting rotation back a day, and Milwaukee has a scheduled day off on Thursday. Although the matchup against New York isn't ideal, Misiorowski has become a must-start in traditional fantasy baseball leagues. The 24-year-old former second-rounder leads the league with a 14.0 K/9 and is sporting a nice 2.84 ERA (2.99 FIP) and 1.00 WHIP with 59 punchouts and 15 walks in 38 innings across his first seven starts of 2026.

"All Things Look Good" for Jacob Misiorowski to Start on Wednesday

Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that "all things look good" for right-hander Jacob Misiorowski (hamstring) to make his next scheduled start on Wednesday against the division-rival St. Louis Cardinals after a hamstring scare in his last outing, according to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy. The hard-throwing right-hander departed his last start early on Friday against the Washington Nationals with a right-hamstring cramp. He had a normal between-starts bullpen session on Monday and didn't suffer any setbacks, so it looks like he'll be given the green light to pitch on Wednesday in the series finale at Busch Stadium. The 24-year-old former second-round pick in 2022 was an All-Star as a rookie in 2025 and is one of the best young upside arms in the game. Through his first seven starts in 2026 in his first full year in the big leagues, the Miz has gone 2-2 with a 2.84 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, a league-high 59 strikeouts, and 15 walks in 38 innings pitched. The Cardinals rank eighth in team OPS (.731), but Misiorowski is a must-start in fantasy when he toes the rubber.

Jacob Misiorowski Throws Bullpen on Monday, Status for Next Start Still Uncertain

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski (hamstring) threw a bullpen on Monday, and the team is planning to decide on his status for his next scheduled start based on how he recovers, according to Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Misiorowski was removed early from his most recent start against the Washington Nationals due to hamstring cramps. While he appears to have avoided a major injury, the Brewers may choose to be cautious with their young right-hander. Misiorowski is off to an excellent start to the 2026 season, as he's recorded a 2-2 record with a 2.84 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 59 strikeouts across 38 innings (seven starts). With a 38.1% strikeout rate, the 24-year-old could finish the year among the MLB leaders in punch-outs if he can stay healthy. His next start is currently scheduled for Wednesday against the St. Louis Cardinals, so a final determination on his status will likely come on Tuesday.

Jacob Misiorowski is Optimistic to Make Next Start

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski (hamstring) appears to have avoided any significant injuries. The right-hander was forced to make an early exit from Friday's start against the Washington Nationals. He was pulled in the sixth inning with a no-hit bid due to right hamstring cramping. Brewers manager Pat Murphy expressed optimism that Misiorowski will be able to make his next start. He'll have some time to rest with his next outing not being until Wednesday versus the St. Louis Cardinals. Misiorowski will need to get through a bullpen session before being officially cleared to pitch. The hope is that the star right-hander won't be forced to miss any time at all. Fantasy managers will need to check back for another update ahead of Wednesday's start.

Jacob Misiorowski Leaves Start Early on Friday With Hamstring Cramp

Milwaukee Brewers hard-throwing right-hander Jacob Misiorowski (hamstring) was pulled from his start on Friday early against the Washington Nationals in the sixth inning with a right-hamstring cramp, according to Brewers reporter Sophia Minnaert. The Miz's hamstring cramps came at a bad time, as he was no-hitting the Nationals through 5 1/3 innings with two walks allowed and eight strikeouts when trainers came out to check on him. It doesn't appear to be a very serious issue, but fantasy managers will need to keep an eye out for whether he's ready to make his next start next week, which should come against the division-rival St. Louis Cardinals. The 6-foot-7, 201-pound, 24-year-old is already one of the best strikeout arms in baseball in his first full season in the big leagues after fanning 87 in his first 66 big-league innings over 15 outings (14 starts) in his rookie season in 2025. The Miz entered Friday's game with a 3.31 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and a league-leading 51 punchouts across six starts and 32 2/3 frames. Misiorowski is a must-start in fantasy lineups every time he toes the rubber.

Can Jacob Misiorowski Sustain Current Strikeout Pace Throughout 2026?

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Jacob Misiorowski has been one of the most overpowering arms in baseball so far in 2026, pitching to a 3.04 ERA and 1.09 WHIP with 42 strikeouts across his first 26 2/3 innings (five starts) of the season. The 24-year-old's 37.8% strikeout rate is relatively unheard of for a starting pitcher and hints at his massive fantasy upside. However, command remains an issue for the hard-throwing right-hander, as he's posting a double-digit (10.8%) walk rate for the second straight campaign. He's also allowed an elevated 1.35 HR/9, which spells potential trouble for his ERA when paired with his tendency to issue free passes. Still, Misiorowski's 99.0 mph average fastball velocity and his ability to generate whiffs make him incredibly appealing to fantasy managers. While he may be more prone to the occasional blow-up outing than your standard ace, Misiorowski has fantasy SP1 upside if he can stay healthy throughout 2026.
