Jacob Misiorowski Strikes Out Nine In Latest Start

Milwaukee Brewers right-handed pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski tossed five shutout innings in his latest outing on Sunday against the Durham Bulls. In this outing, Misiorowski allowed just three hits, no walks, and struck out a season-high batters. This was his second-straight outing not allowing a run. Through his first 29 2/3 innings at Triple-A this season, the former second-round selection has held a strong 1.82 ERA with a 0.91 WHIP. Across this stint, he has struck out 38 batters and served up 13 free passes. This is a great sign as the 23-year-old has continued to build off his strong Triple-A debut last summer when he held a 2.55 ERA with a 0.85 WHIP across his first 17 2/3 innings at that level. Given his steady progression, he should be in the mix for an early 2025 MLB debut.

Jacob Misiorowski Strikes Out Eight In Latest Triple-A Start

Milwaukee Brewers right-handed pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski enjoyed his best start of the season on Tuesday evening against Triple-A Durham. In this outing, the No. 4-ranked prospect in Milwaukee tossed six shutout innings. He allowed just one hit and one free pass. He tallied a season-best eight punchouts. Through Misiorowski's first 24 2/3 innings of the Triple-A campaign, he has held a strong 2.19 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP. He struggled to command his pitches in his first three starts but has allowed just three walks over his last 11 frames. Last summer, Misiorowski spent most of his time with Double-A before earning a brief taste of Triple-A. Given his progression at Triple-A, Misiorowski could be worth closely monitoring as he could contend for his MLB debut in the first half of the season.

Jacob Misiorowski Strikes Out Five Over Five Innings Of One-Run Ball

Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski struck out five batters across five innings of one-run ball on Thursday evening. The right-hander allowed just two hits. However, he continued to struggle with his command as he served up three free passes. Through his first three starts of the Triple-A regular season, Misiorowski has held a stellar 0.66 ERA. However, his command his been a weakness as he held an underwhelming 10:16 BB:K while allowing just three total hits. Misiorowski spent most of the 2024 season at Double-A, where he held a 3.50 ERA with a 1.28 WHIP across 79 2/3 innings of work. He then earned a brief taste of Triple-A, where he posted a 2.55 ERA with a stellar 0.85 WHIP in 17 2/3 innings. Given the number of injuries in the Milwaukee rotation, Misiorowski could be nearing his MLB debut.

Jacob Misiorowski Strikes Out Seven Across Five Shutout Frames

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski tossed five shutout innings in his first start of the season at Triple-A on Sunday. Misiorowski tallied seven punchouts and allowed just one hit. He served up three free passes. This was a dominant outing for Misiorowski, who is considered one of the top right-handed pitching prospects in the sport. Last season, the Crowder College product spent most of his time with Double-A, where he posted a strong 3.50 ERA with a 1.28 WHIP. Across 79 2/3 innings, he tallied 105 punchouts but struggled with his command as he allowed 50 walks. He then received a brief look at Triple-A, where he tossed 17 2/3 innings to the tune of a 2.55 ERA and a 0.85 WHIP. With Aaron Civale (hamstring) hitting the 15-day IL, the Brewers may turn to Misiorowski sooner than expected. He should be closely monitored in all 12-team formats.

Brewers Reassign Jacob Misiorowski To Minor-League Camp

The Milwaukee Brewers reassigned right-handed pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski to minor-league camp on Friday. The team also reassigned right-handers Deivi Garcia, Easton McGee and Vinny Nittoli, infielder Raynel Delgado and catcher Darrien Miller to minor-league camp and optioned outfielder Brewers Hicklen to Triple-A Nashville. Misiorowski is considered the team's No. 4 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and will begin the year in the minors after allowing eight earned runs on seven hits (one homer) while walking five and striking out nine in 7 2/3 innings over four Grapefruit League appearances (three starts). The 22-year-old throws hard and can generate plenty of strikeouts, but he's also wild and inconsistent. Misiorowski is expected to begin 2025 at Nashville as a starter, but if he can't improve his control, it's possible Milwaukee will shift him to a relief role as a potential late-inning, high-leverage arm.

Jacob Misiorowski Is One To Watch

Milwaukee Brewers right-handed pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski has a 50 percent chance to make the Opening Day roster out of spring training, according to MLB's Jim Callis. "I think [his stuff] is as good as anyone in the Minor Leagues," Callis said. "He hasn't harnessed it." Misiorowski, who is ranked as MLB Pipeline's No. 100 overall prospect, is one of the best power arms in the minors after averaging 11.8 strikeouts per nine innings over 33 outings (19 starts) between Double-A and Triple-A in 2024. He stands at an imposing 6-foot-7 and features a triple-digit fastball. Although Misiorowski also walked 5.5 hitters per nine innings, he limited batters to a .167 average, displaying just how good his stuff actually is. The 22-year-old could probably use more seasoning in the minors, and he's going to need to throw more strikes to pass as a starter at the next level.

Jacob Misiorowski Sharp Through First Relief Appearances At Triple-A

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski has looked quite sharp operating as a reliever at Triple-A in his past two outings. The top prospect in Milwaukee moved up to Triple-A earlier this month and made two short starts before shifting to a bullpen role. As a reliever, Misiorowski has tossed three 2/3 perfect innings with five punchouts. As a starter, he served up two earned runs across three frames of work. While the sample size is very small, the right-hander may have found a new role out of the pen. All fantasy managers should continue to monitor how the former second-round selection is utilized through the end of the season as he served exclusively as a starter over the past two summers. Misiorowski could push for a late-season major league debut, given his current production at Triple-A as well.

Jacob Misiorowski Sharp In Second Triple-A Outing

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski was sharp in his second outing at Triple-A on Wednesday. The right-hander logged two shutout innings. He allowed just one hit while striking out three. This was a nice bounce-back after he allowed two runs and three walks in his first inning on August 3. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to the right-hander, as the Brewers are clearly limiting his workload at Triple-A. Earlier this season at Double-A, the Crowder College product held a 3.50 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and a 50:105 BB:K ratio. If the 22-year-old continues to log successful short outings at Triple-A Nashville he could emerge as a must-stash candidate in all leagues later this month.

Jacob Misiorowski Promoted To Triple-A

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski is being promoted to Triple-A, according to Baseball America. The top prospect in Milwaukee posted a strong 3.50 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and a 50:105 BB:K ratio across 79 innings at Double-A this season. The right-hander got a brief taste of Double-A ball to close out last summer after spending the majority of the time with High-A Wisconsin. The number 32 overall prospect and fifth-best right-handed pitching prospect on MLB.com has flashed elite potential all season. He has tallied double-digit punchouts on two occasions and struck out at least seven in seven starts. He has also logged eight starts where he did not allow a run. The 22-year-old is on the verge of making his major league debut, and it may only take a handful of starts at Triple-A for him to receive the call to the big leagues.

Jacob Misiorowski Dealing Lately At Double-A Biloxi

Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski has two straight July starts of six-plus innings with 10 strikeouts in each outing. The right-hander allowed just one combined run on four total hits in those two starts. The 22-year-old is finding his groove at Double-A. One of the top pitching prospects in the minor leagues, Misiorowski now sports a 3.10 ERA this season with a 1.22 WHIP. His strikeout rate is excellent with 98 punchouts in 72 2/3 innings. He has all the tools to be a future top-of-the-rotation arm and an excellent fantasy contributor.
