It's worth noting that Monasterio's average against left-handers (.231) is comparable to that of Ortiz (.235), but the latter shouldn't be in danger of losing his job just yet.

The 26-year-old has struggled mightily for the most part this season, but he has been turning things around at the dish over the last week or so. He is 13-for-30 with two homers and eight RBI over his last seven games. That said, he still holds pretty awful numbers for the season, as he is now hitting .217 with 31 runs, four homers, 18 RBI, and eight steals. Ortiz is still a ways off from even being a consideration for fantasy managers.

The 26-year-old could continue to lose playing time with the Brew Crew if he doesn't pick it up offensively soon. Through his first 139 at-bats in 2025, Ortiz has struggled to a .173/.228/.223 slash line with a home run, six RBI, four steals, 15 runs, nine walks and 23 strikeouts in 151 plate appearances. Monasterios is hitless in his three at-bats this year and has never faced Williams in his career. In the eight-hole on Wednesday, DFS managers should be ignoring him.
